CELTIC – THE HISTORY BHOYS

BRENDAN RODGERS became only the third manager in Celtic’s iconic history to achieve the domestic treble when his all-conquering Invincibles swept the boards during an unforgettable campaign.
The Irishman took his place in the Hoops’ Hall of Fame by leading the team to an undefeated term, playing 47 games against Scottish opposition, winning 43 and losing none.
No club in Scotland had managed that magical feat – EVER!

Rodgers, in his debut year as Celtic supremo, now takes his place alongside the legendary Jock Stein and the charismatic Martin O’Neill as a Parkhead manager who has completed the silverware clean sweep.
Jock did it twice, in 1966/67 – when the club won everything, including the European Cup – and again in 1968/69.

There was a wait until 2000/01 for Celtic to take the acclaim throughout the country when O’Neill, with the incomparable Henrik Larsson leading the way, picked up the Premier league title, the Scottish Cup and the League Cup.
Ironically, like Rodgers, the Northern Irishman was in his first season as Celtic manager.
Now Alex Gordon, of this parish, has released CELTIC – THE HISTORY BHOYS through LangSyne Publishing and available now from CQNBookstore.com
This unique publication charts the four greatest seasons in the club’s history with the focus on the team bosses who made it possible – Jock Stein, Martin O’Neill and Brendan Rodgers.
