CELTIC TRANSFER TARGET KEEPS HIS FOCUS

LIAM MOORE, linked with a January move to Celtic, goes on show again tonight when Reading play in the Championship at Bolton.

The £5m-rated central defender has been watched by the Hoops as Brendan Rodgers attempts to solve the problem position.

Midfielder Nir Bitton has moved back into the rearguard to partner Dedryck Boyata with Jose Simunovic and Erik Sviatchenko sidelined through injury in recent time.

Moore, though, insisted he will not allow transfer speculation to upset him.

The former Leicester City stopper, 24, who signed a four-year extension in the summer, said: “I try and concentrate on my job. I’m just happy playing football.

“I always have in the back of my mind those times when I wasn’t getting any game time.

“That was only two years ago now, I’m lucky and thankful to be here doing what I’m doing and playing games.

“Speculation comes and so be it, it’s part of the job.”

Moore played in the Royals’ 2-0 home loss against Wolves at the weekend.

He added: “We created enough chances to win the game.

“We knew the way they would play, we backed ourselves to match them.

“In the second-half, we got our chances, but, unfortunately, we didn’t take them.”
