    The cheap remark from me was from many posters … knowing your good self from these pages i would expect you to think Neil was a cheap option from the board … nothing malicious but some are set in their ways … slag the board for the cheap option then when the board pay circa £45k @ week for a manager who is at fault then …..

    I acknowledged he has been injured.

     

    If he is unfit he should be given time to recover.

     

    Hayes was finally playing well so why replace him with someone unfit?

     

    I stated last season about KT’s impact being reduced which is why i suspect coaching has had a negative impact on his game.

     

    I think he is a brilliant talent but something has had an adverse effect on his game in the last 2 seasons.

    They paid Brendan wheans and he delivered big time, not just for the domestic dominance but all the forward thinking stuff he introduced to Lennoxtown, if you take into account the 30+ million he has managed to put into the clubs bank account I would say he did superbly.

     

    Now if I were in the position of employing another manager who would cost us plenty and was in the same ish mould as BR, I would take the chance that he would also deliver, I just can’t see them sanctioning another big spend like Brendan, hopefully I am wrong but I have ma doubts.

    I read somewhere that Keiran had played more minutes than any other player in Europe although I am open to correction on that . Anyway , the hip injury is likely due to the toll on his body . We can see what it’s done to Andy Murray , and Lustig has never been the same player since his hip surgery . It obviously has a noticeable effect on strength and mobility.

     

    There has been negligence in the management of the player IMO.

    Am a bit gutted … I think “the stepping” stone was wasted and played with our emotions …my Celtic have never needed to win but BR was a dagger through my heart far more than SuperMo…. he could easily be a fraud … I thought Brendan was the real deal …… more fool me

    It all depends on where your starting point is re Brendan, to me he was just the manager, there was no emotion involved, he was always moving on, I didn’t like him jumping ship mid season, but he must have been seriously miffed to do so, unless the reasons are put out there supporters will fill in the blanks to suit, the spin has been he is all the bad bastards and the board are the good guys.

     

    As for him being a fraud, I doubt it, he genuinely had feelings for the club imo, he may well have exaggerated things a tad, but why not, many managers would have done the same, he didn’t kill anyone ffs.

    Just looking at how he is playing and moving you can see that something is just not right, but unless we are told the rumours will take off.

    He brought success so fulfilled his function therefor did not take us for a ride.

     

    Surprised and pissed at the timing of his exit though.

     

    I thought he was a good second tier coach and lacked the detail to be a really top one.

    Fair play if you want to think BR is some sort of legend for me and many others he is just somebody who tells lies …. cheers for the 7 trophies but never a Celtic fan in his life … £45 @ week can give a false face but £140.000 @ week with the mighty Leicester sure changes his narrative

    Do you honestly think the board didn’t know what was going down, seriously, I would be mortified if they didn’t know, it’s their job to know exactly what is happening at all times and to have plans in place for any eventuality, like the manager leaving at short notice, low and behold they had someone in place to take over, given that Celtic dither and feck around 99% of the time when doing any kinda deal, isn’t it amazing that Lenny just happened to be free and was appointed the very same day that BR left, what a coincidence that was :-)

     

    I honestly don’t see what the problem is, he came, he did good and he left, it’s business.

    I agree he was never a Celtic fan but he understood the value of the support and used to his advantage which is exactly as our board does.

     

    I have worked in advertising for decades and have many first hand accounts of corporate spin and pr stunts.

    I hate to say it but …. the board probably / did know more than the supporters … remember it’s not the board coming on the park after the games, it’s not the board lapping up the adulation…. if you think Rodgers was up front meanwhile calling our big Peter at every opportunity am afraid you’ve been more duped than me …. or is it ok for Brendan to cheat the fans because I can assure you a lot of fans feel far more cheated with the Leicester moonlighter than Peter Lawell & the board …. at least they don’t play on the heartstrings …

    Duped, how the ef could he have duped me, I already told you I didn’t give an ef, he was there to do a job, he was very well paid for it, end of, the reason he called Pedro out imo was he was not given what he was told he would be given, it’s really no rocket science, he came, he saw, he conquered, he filled his and our bank accounts and he left to top up his bulging bank accounts even more.

     

    If you allow someone like him to get to you like that you really should take a step back and have a wee think about things :-)

    Of course I bought into him, he did what most other managers could do, I didn’t allow him to take over my life tho, nor would I allow anyone to have that kinda effect on me, apart from the wife and my weans.

     

    How did he dupe you ? I very much doubt he told you a blatant lie, he may have exaggerated a few things but I doubt he lied, he was a football club manager, not your lover FFS :-)

    KT has been flogged for the last couple of seasons.

     

     

    If he’s broken already, having barely turned 20, then it’s a pretty flagrant failure of duty of care by the management of CFC at every senior level.

     

     

    I watched him yesterday. V often he started to make the run, he then stopped Cos the ball wasn’t played to him. Or was played straight to him rather than in front of him, thus removing all momentum from the move.
