Hard game Thursday.11 man defence. At least it’s not on plastic. Its about time Rogic,Bayo, earned their corn.To some extent.

Me an’ a few ma pals used to go to all the youth games to keep an eye out for future talent and also to give us an excuse for going to the pub at daft times.
Simon Ferry was a standout although maybe lacking the aggression expected in football.
Then along came Callum McGregor. Maybe not quite the same aesthetic appeal but not lacking in the ‘up an’ at em’ stakes.
I think it’s fair to say that Calmac is the new Ferry! :)
Hail Hail

Don’t expect any rotation. The best preparation for the Glasgow derby is picking up 3 points against St Mirren.
The 11 that played at the weekend will play both games against St Mirren and Sevco Scotland Limited
What we do need is some subs who are sharp enough to make an impact off the bench. So not only the same starting 11 but also the same subs! Micky, Griff and Rogic all will hopefully get 30 to 20 minutes vs the Buddies

I’d love to see Mr Griff have a ball against The Paisley Baddies………
Salvation for That Emerald Bhoy is to be found in a hooped jersey.
What a Christmas pressie that would be!

We all know a good hiding is coming to some team, and it could be Thursday.Lets not kid ourselves Saints are poor.Dour and stuffy, but it’s probably the best away game we could have out of the teams in the league.Nice pitch, good wee stadium, plenty atmosphere.Any kind of win, will do.Would put the Huns on overdoses of Immodium, the thought of going 8 points behind on Sunday.

LOL – yes indeed the McGregor Brothers, the football equivalent of the Alexander Brothers. Choice of course is between Forrest, Ntcham & Johnston to fill the two berths. I am worried, if we play our top game, we win, if they dominate like Hampden, ball winners will be needed in midfield to turn things around.
Perhaps Calmac and his brother will be giving a rendition of “The Dancing in Kyle” in the dressing room after a big victory.

Ad hominem attacks on a few celebrities, justified or not, are a poor substitute for logical argument.
Having initially been something of a sceptic (mindful that the first high profile politician to champion the cause was that bastard Thatcher) having looked at the science I now suspect I was wrong, and consider that at least on a precautionary basis it would be wise and prudent to proceed on the basis that climate change is happening as a result of human activity and to do what is reasonably practicable to alter our behaviour to mitigate the effects.
One thing is clear though. This can’t be left to the free market, it will require state intervention. I suspect it was this realisation that caused Thatcher to recant and revert to her previous beliefs.

totally agree on the state intervention. Only way the markets will help is if there is a profit angle (might actually be worth a bit of this in the mix)
Also, I think a Pareto analysis would show that if you get US, Russia, China, India on board; the wee countries don’t matter
PS I have a chart on the plastic dumped in the ocean per annum
China miles ahead with Indonesia, Phillipines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka challenging for Europa Cup spots
Climate change deniers fall into the same group as the folk that believe the earth is 5000 years old (who funnily enough also tend to be climate change deniers.)
Same people who are also desperately keen on The Rapture.
Utterly batshit crazy.

Not so much on the web, more in head to heads I engage in ‘banter’ with the blue meanies, sometimes I even make up wildly improbable tales for a giggle, even dismiss them off as uneducated, moral free primordial creatures from the swamp of hades.
They do the same with me.
And then just as the shouting and slagging dies down, they come up with THIS!
