    A bit of ring rust at times today but we’ll clearly take some stopping once we find our groove again. A steady start to the season.

    Mod88, prior to Mooy, Bernabei & Jenz signing, a few mentioned that the squad (not the team) at that point was no stronger than it was in May, which was a fair point, but that will be me just splitting hairs!

     

     

    As for Jota, I think the challenge Ange faces is how to play Maeda & Jota effectively in the same team. Noticeable when he switched sides in 1st and 2nd half, Jota was far more dangerous than on the right, so can Maeda deliver from the right instead?

    Undercooked — still in pre-season mode.

     

    M/F stopped working after 15 minutes — not positive enough.

     

    CMcG was not fully engaged / RH off his eggs / MO’R not active enough.

     

     

    More football is needed to get our game face on.

     

    We gave ourselves more problems than the opposition.

     

     

    Need more energy / desire / directness.

     

    Good result not a great performance.
