  1. Is that the first time a Hun team have `suffered` from a VAR decision?

    On another matter.

I think, later in life, some of those Hunnies will look back at their quick medal removal and feel embarrassed at how childish it looks.

  2. Incidentally, she spoke very well.

A place in the studio awaits her on retirement…..oh, hang on ….

Anyhooos, that club at every level behave in the same arrogant ignorant way. The medals off the neck being an example. They must pump something into these people when they enter that club.

  4. Meanwhile across the pond the Boston Celtics turn up the heat on Miami by coming from 3-0 down to 3-3 in the EC finals, last game Monday at the TD in Beantown.

In fairness to them, I remember quite a few amateur players who felt it showed how much of a winner it made them look if they treated a runners up medal with undisguised contempt.

Maybe they were just counting the Timette supporters.

He’s in the South Korean masons

*don’t be surprised, I’ve seen ludges in Cuba, St Lucia and Ballyshannon

For me it was almost predictable as to which of them would be the medal discarders and those who wouldn’t.

The staunch were definitely not for accepting their medals.

The foreign and younger / better players actually seemed to be happy to wear them.

The England rugby team really made this trend seem acceptable ……. Kinda show me a good loser and I will show you a loser. ‘Souness speak’. I agree it is not good and really childish.

Although the wee Celtic girl Ferguson (not a Celtic name ?) amused me with her snigger at the rangers opponent when she came on in 88 mins.

  11. Well done the done the girls team on lifting the Scottish Cup, hopefully Michael Nicholson give the go ahead for Barrow field to be upgraded 2 new stand , catering facilities etc ,playing there home games in The Excelsior Stadium (Airdrie),no more ,I’m sure plenty of Celtic fans would go along and watch the girls play there home games at Barrowfield.

  12. What passes for a hotdog at CP these Days? could they not put something on it – dry as…..

    Of Scots-Irish Gaelic.

Lot of Fergusons in Scotland and of Scottish descent, but Evan Ferguson of Brighton, is Irish and already part of the Irish set-up at eighteen. Big future ahead for this bhoy. Growing up in Scotland always thought Massey-Ferguson was in fact Scottish, (so many of them around Ayrshire farms) but no, Harry Ferguson was Irish, from County Down. The Ferguson Company later merged with Massey (Harris) HQd in Toronto. Tontine Tim will know more than me on that front. The actor Raymond Massey was part of that family.

  14. I will do the official Superbru update later tonight when the site officially updates but the early indications are that Leggy has prevailed as winner after a long leading spell by A thing of beauty. This is still unofficial but the winner’s speech can be prepared, I think. Other results to follow.

  15. So the Huns will likely have :

    One from

    Union Gilloise /

    Panithinikos / Serbian runner up

    Strum Graz

    Dnipro

    In round 3

    Then

    Marseilles or

    PSV

    Play off

    To get CL next season.

Tough for a new and non European experienced squad.

Not known many, if any, Ferguson’s playing for Celtic.

My mums mum was Ferguson and her family were all in Eastern Star or masons etc hence my question mark.

  17. See Killie manage to stay up, worn out plastic carpet an aw. Them and Livvy.

No point in suggesting otherwise due to SPFL rules.

As a club we do not seem to have any alternative ideas about Scottish football.

Only show in town I suppose.

    ———————————————————————————————————

George Ferguson signed for Celtic in 1945 from junior side St Anthony’s and made his debut in a 3-0 Regional League triumph over Partick Thistle in the final league game of the season at Parkhead in April 1945.

He was in the very first team picked by new manager Jimmy McGrory, so a bit of a great accolade for George. However it wasn’t to be so great with Celtic thereafter as McGrory struggled to measure up as a manager in anyway close as he did when he was a player.

    What’s in a name eh.

    KEEP THE FAITH

  19. burnley78

    See what you mean.

Know or knew more than a few that supported Celtic though.

Including a good friend of my parents, a Church of Scotland Minister.

Might have been the idea of getting into Paradise free that persuaded him mind

  20. Deniabhoy,

Was that the deid team’s captain? How was she not ordered off? Had the Celtic player fouled her beforehand or was she not provoked? She was one of those who immediately took of her medal. (I only saw the presentation.) What do they do to them down in deepest Govan to make them behave like thugs?

*Ironically Mrs TT and I were just recently talking about Massey Hall as there’s a move to rename it after Gordon Lightfoot, we’ve both been there, she more than me as the weans used tae go tae concerts there and both she and her sister would accompany them and we have both seen Billy Connolly several times there tae, it really is a superb venue for smaller crowds not suited for the larger venues like the Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena.

The idea of Massey Music Hall began with Hart Massey a Canadian businessman and philanthropist who was a member of the prominent Massey family. He was an industrialist who built the agricultural equipment firm that became Massey Ferguson, now part of AGCO, he wanted to build a music hall in order to fill the need for a secular meeting place where people from Toronto and area could meet and enjoy choral music not of a religious theme. He also did not want the music hall to make large profits. He wanted both rich and poor to attend events.

Oh, and according Celtic Wiki we had the following on our books who played at least 1 game.

    Ferguson, Cornelius – Defender -1940

    Ferguson, George – Defender – 1945-48

    Ferguson, John – Forward – 1895

    Ferguson, William – Forward – 1895-97
