  2. Good Morning Celts – Grand Day To Be A Tim

Well, what happened to the close match!?

Phenomenal Celtic, we have seen great teams do that to us in the UCL, now we can do that to good teams*

Away at our Butt & Ben, we really played some great football against a team not lacking in pace and physicality or confidence.

After Nilsen and his yellow card brandishing, and for me, that played it’s part in our Captain getting a thoroughly undeserved yellow card a bit later, he football was a shear delight…

For that reason Engels gets my vote, lots of candidates for the third vote and it’s a shame we can’t have half a dozen, but Engels mixed it, used nouse beyond his years and really with Calmac won the middle of the park against a three and two No6 set up.

That gave us the space we needed, Hatate obviously gets a mention for his best game for a while, the lhad never stopped.

Unfortunately no votes for the defence but to a man they were great, clean sheet but so much more and CCV’s goal was superb.

Yet the men who reigned supreme were the front three, Kyogo’s movement and endeavour the best we’ve seen in a while yet it was Kuhn (again) and the Unstoppable Meada Machine that gets the vote – really chuffed for the hat trick from the Duracell Caerbannog.

Last night was our 4th consecutive clean sheet including an away CL tie in Italy and a domestic cup semi-final.

    Next up, RB Leipzig.

  7. Apart from the Fantastic Celtic result yesterday, I also had a good bet at the Horses yesterday with WETHERBYS PLACEPOT.

    The Placepot paid…£ 87.70 for a £1.00 Stake.

I had it for £1.40….which paid approx £130.00.

A great wee bonus on top of the super Celtic result.

    Not too shabby.

  8. Good morning from a dry but overcast North Staffs.

Well that was a performance to savour – Kuhn was outstanding.

As far as Vale is concerned- haven’t progressed in the FA Cup for a number of years. It’s all about the league this year. 🤭

  9. OOPS…I received £122.78 from the Wetherby Placepot yesterday…NOT £130 Approxas I stated previously.

Not too shabby for a £1.40 Stake.

    I must improve my arithmetic.

Bada the leaked team is an issue also did you see the presser?

I did mate,it’s been an issue for a few years now,I stopped posting it here as an excellent CQNr said much the same as Brendan

  15. It was another Brendan Hampden masterclass yesterday.

The preparation was done during the week with the rotation of the squad. Our full strength lineup looked formidable before a ball was kicked and so it proved to be the case. We are so strong throughout, both wingers are electric, Trusty continues to improve and Valle is real class and will only improve further with more game time. Engles has required time to settle but showed what he is capable of.

The mentality of the team, togetherness and concentration is at a very high level. All credit goes to Brendan. He is now in my opinion a better manager than he ever was and we are very fortunate to have him.

  16. this is a post about football attendnace, do not read it if you are not interested in celtic supporters getting to support their team.

    Hampden capacity – 51,866.

Celtic v Aberdeen Venue: Hampden Park Attendance: 47,544

there were over 4,300 unoccupied seats.

and yet there were celtic supporters who would have happily paid to watch the game.

we are being sold short, the league and celtic fc should be doing more to facilitate full capacity attendances.

no doubt if the wee team, motherwell reach the final they will get more tickets than they can actually sell.

  17. Thanks for the updates last night and all the links to goals, highlights and interviews!

    A great read back

10 yellow cards against us in two games. Could easily have been double that and the number of red cards they should have got might have had the game stopped.

Dirty is the the word that comes to mind.

Clancy is a bigger cheat than some of the sheep.

  18. I have no issue with Calmac’s booking. You can clearly see the ref is right up with play. Unfortunately the ref is behind Calmac and this doesn’t have the benefit of different angles to review replays of the tackle. He can only go with one, live, view of the tackle.

Looks like an innocuous tackle. However, there is clearly an argument to say that Calmac connected with the bouncing ball at knee height. At the point of connection, Calmac’s leg also appeared to be straight, with what looks like the studs shown, and possibly the studs connecting with the ball.

And this “devil’s advocate” argument is being made with the benefit of slow motion replays.

The ref had one view, from behind Calmac. The Dons players reaction also suggested contact was made. The ref, I believe, was entitled to give a yellow card. No complaints from me.

  19. Ex HUN REF Bobby Madden claims that Brendan was ” LUCKY” not to be given a RED Card when he kicked the ball back onto the pitch ?

WTF !….If Brendan HAD been given a Red Card, Celtic and Brendan could argue that due to him SLIPPING on the ground, it then led to a MIS – KICK….which then meant that the ball travelled a lot further onto the Pitch than intended ?

Does this Yellow Card decision on Brendan yesterday mean that EVERY TIME a Manager or member of the back room staff who kicks/throws the ball just TWO YARDS etc, back onto the Pitch is going to be Yellow/Red Carded ?

Last season I saw the HUN Cyrile Dessers DELIBERATELY Kick a 2nd Ball back onto the Pitch in order to PREVENT the opposition taking a Free Kick quickly….NO Yellow or Red Card for Dessers…..why was that ?

It was an Away game for the Huns…I cant remember the opposition ?

Can Celtic also Appeal against the Yellow Card for CALMAC Yesterday….that was yet another JOKE Decision ?

    HH.

  20. Great view from the behind the goals yesterday, Celtic spreading the play back and forth across the midfield put Aberdeen through the mill … morale sapping gubbing.

Huns v Well always think back to the playoff game where that muppet McCall managed the Hun and the Well thrashed them with the big Tunisian centre half auditioning for Olympic boxing.

Expect Huns to win today but Well have a chance but they need to get the first goal.

  21. Call me Gerry- thanks for reply, Callum clearly wins the ball,Clancy shouldn’t be guessing on what he hasn’t seen, absolutely correct about the play acting of the Sheep player, who I seen twice during the game ,gesturing to have a Celtic player booked, hate that, all about opinions my friend.

  23. Bada Bing

Correct. It’s all about opinions. 👍

    Even the refs.

I don’t see any evidence of Clancy guessing on what he hasn’t seen.

Clancy may have seen Calmac “win” the ball. However, if Clancy saw Calmac connect with the ball at knee height, with a straight leg and studs showing, he’s entitled to show a yellow card (imo).
