Agree, but we’ve not seen them this bad for a while and Brendan’s record at Hampden is flawless!
They’ll also be lucky to have a manager in place.
However, I’m more than confident we will destroy this lot any time we play them. Superior players and manager and support.

Well the upsides are :
We can claim their imaginary girlfriend ‘best in world’ title in front of their noses.
Clement stays.
They could get really thrashed 2 games in a row. Our final kicks off 65 hours after they leave the park v Spurs.
Downsides
They have a punchers chance.
The number of new friends who emerge aka folks who never go chasing for tickets.
It gives that lot a wee bit of oxygen.
Great evidence of how good our result in Atalanta was today as they won 3-0 at league leaders Napoli.
Rangers teturned 7,000+ unsold tickets for today’s semi-final.
Just noticed as well that we play away to Dynamo Zagreb 17.45 ok on the Tuesday before the final and they have a home 20.00 kick off against Spurs on the Thursday.
They picked up another injury today and their squad is already creaking.
Won’t get over confident, but even at full street with the same rest between games, we should be beating that lot.

I know it’s for a cup game, but if their season ticket holders start doing the same, they are in big trouble. That’s the funding that is keeping them afloat atm. 😂👍

Watching the game again today, I knew it before the match but Clancy is a really bad referee. There was so many times throughout the match when a Celtic player passed the ball and was clattered into from behind, hardly any were penalised by a foul never mind booked. Also in the build up to a number of goals players were fouled we still went on to score but not because he was playing advantage but he was just ignoring the fouls
Lots of late tackles went unpunished, as per usual
I don`t like this almost Hun-like expression of superiority regarding how easily we are going to beat them in the Final.
Of course we are favourites and rightly so but football is football and, as we all know, favourites do not always win.
Fortunately, I am sure the players will not go into any game feeling that all they have to do is turn up.

there have been 2000-2500 empies at ibrox for the league games.
and over 9,000 empties for the europa ties.
they cant give away their ticket stub exchanges.

You’re right – our players just won’t ’turn up’, Brendan won’t let them. If we apply ourselves like last night there should be no probs.
However there are a few weeks to go and who knows what transpires – so favourites yes – certainties no.
I can just about remember 1-4 against Thistle in the same competition in 1971 during big Jock’s 9iar ECwinners/runners-up era – so nothing is a foregone conclusion. HH
A lot of big games and footy to be played before the League Cup Final.
One game at a time please bhoys Leipzip are top of the form league and sit second a few points behind Munich.
I’m very much looking forward to this next match and hopefully we can continue our fine form and results.

I am of the age to know that quite often the favourite in this game means nothing …

*late 60s, big Jock had it brought out to replace the shamrock strip which we last wore March 6, 1965 in the SC quarters against killie at Parkheid, 3-2 for us and al oul Jimmy’s last game in charge, Jock’s first game was 4 days later in a 6-0 walloping against airdrie at broomfield

Re their imaginary gf I do think it would matter to them. As would losing to us after losing to spurs within 3 days of each other. Their fixtures are easy until then and so PC will get an easy ride now.
For me we have a tough schedule ahead of the cup final. Leipzig Killie a Hertz a Brugge Aberdeen an and Zagreb a and others. They don’t.
Our squad will be stretched. After Saturday and Atalanta I really do think we can cope and come out on top in all 3 competitions.
