  1. their keeper was brilliant – saving with feet, hands, instinctive , cross ball dominance – I’d take him at Celtic but not sure if he’s good at passing (couple of dodgy ones today)

Yamada, unlike Johnny Kenny, attacks the near post – I love his movement and would like to see him start.

I thought Nygren was out MOTM – great off the ball movement, nice goal and linked up really well – looks hungry!

  2. not long in from the game…ye good striker. would’ve scored a bundle. For their equaliser i thot maeda was fouled in the middle of the park…did anyone else think that or did maeda make an arse of it!

  3. The problem with people like Shankland, Gogic and Devlin

Is not their ability, its that the clubs will screw us on transfer fee’s

They will raise the price so far thats its unviable to buy them

They are 100% good enough to play for us

And will add fight and goals to our team

The board want them for much less cash than they want to sell them for

As soon as we bend over and pay it, we will get bummed for years

I thought the same, looked as if Daizen was pulled down

Wasnt a foul, he over extended and was off balance – he tried too hard to win it back and fell over – if that makes sense

“We need a striker registered to play on the 1st January.”

    ………

We need to play with 2 strikers.

    AND.

We no to stop trying to be Peter perfect and get the ball up the pitch.

    AND.

We need to get the ball up the pitch as soon as ANY defender gets the ball one, two, three steps, until the stikers get up the pitch and defender plays the ball away from our defensive are.

Playing with one striker = anti Celtic.

Playing with one striker = a good idea when away goals in Europe were a thing.

Playing with one striker = Larsson would have been a dud at Celtic. imho.

    Clearly.

The point I was making albeit maybe not clearly, is that a striker that has done it at Celtic shouldn’t be written off because he’s flopped elsewhere.

Edouard hadn’t kicked his own arse for years. Jota had two bad moves since us as well. But we correctly took him back.

    Take your point on Mateusz

I’ve only seen YouTube videos and they’re usually just the highlights……nice highlights though…

No matter what you think, Kyoto for Yangg . would be a deal.

And one that could be done quickly. Which is just as important. Time is not on our side this window.

  10. Maybe Nancy if given another month to get players in and adjust some existing players to his style will make it

Hearts game was a tough one (as they showed today wasnt a fluke by pumping der hun)

The St Mirren cup final was heart breaking

Dundee Utd we should have one, but couldnt score

Today as Utd we should have been out of sight before they scored

Last 2 games the defence has coped, and this game we won most of the second balls at corners

Midfield has created and recycled second balls (and really has crated chances)

The fact that our forwards have had a stinked is not on Nancy

Maybe his style and formation (as hard as it was to watch in the first 2 or 3 games) is worth perserving with

We shoulf give him a striker, a cente half and whatever else he needs to push on

  11. KT, Cal and Austin 10/10s today.

Arne and Nygren and Luke just behind.

    Yang and Daezan..well done.

Colby will defo be a top Celt.

This is going to sound daft but see if you take Kenny’s chances out, he played well, setting up 3 good chances in the 1st half.

    Classified Results….

  12. KevJungle

We played with The Shin and Daizen (albeit slightly withdrawn) upfront today for the last 20 mins

  13. Some that are negative about Kyoko, maybe just maybe he doesn’t fit the style his club plays ,.Just like some opinions on here about about signing players that don’t fit our system

    Bring back Kyoko HH

  14. It’s true that Kyogo hasn’t set the heather alight since he left but he was a great finisher and good at getting into the right place at the right time. I’d take him back if the price was right.

  15. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

Great day. Well done Wilfried. The Board/Spivdale’s uselessness writ large in our appalling wastefulness in front of goal. Huge congrats to club legend Jamesy F. Onwards and upwards. Hopefully the Hibees stick it to the Hertz next.

  16. I would take kyogo back, but rather we retained Yang who is a good player and has played well throughout the O’Neill and Nancy era’s

Would rather keep yang and buy A.nother if it came to a swap type deal though

  17. maeda wasn’t fouled – he did well to chase back and tackle but the ball just didnt break for him.

  18. Sportscene is on at 7.15pm if you all want to laugh at hurting huns

Am sure its gona be a glorious commentary from mccann and thompson lol

  19. My top 3 for Jobo:

    1. Tierney

    2. CalMac

    3. Trusty

Recent performances hopefully putting some of the KT haters something to think about.

  20. Shortbread in agony tonight. Twitter account trying to take shine off our win.

I say we buy Hearts 3 best players, whoever they are…

  21. DUSHANBE BHILLY BHOY on

Reading back …I don’t know who “Kyoto” nor indeed who “Kyoko ” is?

However, I strongly recommended “Kyogo”, who used to play for us, with some distinction.

    Aff ootwith

  22. KT has been improving game by game – been managed very well. A wee bit concerned we’re asking too much of him – could do with a break , not sure when Saracci is fit.

  23. glendalystonsils on

Pluses from today , chances made and generally soid defending .

Minuses , chances not taken and conceding a soft goal .

John Kenny …. Not the player who scored that great goal v the huns in the cup …..Trying too hard ?

    Costing him composure .

Auston Trusty …..Daizen loses ball in middle of park , one pass through the middle and Trusty shrugged off by the scorer ……CCV would not have lost that goal .

Get those two positions right game finishes 4 -0 ,and Nancy’s system becomes a much lesser issue .

  24. Top 3 for me

    Nygren

    Yang

    KT

    In that order

Nygren for continually getting into that space in the and around the boc

Yang for effort and playing well (he has played well these last few weeks – not just in attack but in tracking back and putting in a tackle) He has such a good work rate now

KT for effort and the goal, he lasted the full game despipte the last 20 as a wingback and not a centre half

Get it into you’se hurting huns!

  25. Kyogo would storm it made for Celtic and Gogic would work in our set up and this wouldn’t cost much well done today 👏 Wilf and the bhoys and a special mention to James.

  26. On players coming in etc I would sign Mulligan from Hibs as he would make an impact like GMS and Armstrong did years ago.

I also really like the Aberdeen player that’s on loan from Italy (I think).

Striker wise, I think the big signing will be the guy Ambrosino from Napoli. It was all set for last summer but for whatever reason (ahem) the attention turned to the dude who went to Ajax.

If Wilfried or MON have the Denis Laws then they should go for a new goalkeeper.

That basically leaves the hugely important 2 wide roles.

We need a Thomson and Agathe but I haven’t a clue who they would be.

3 signings and 3 good loans and we’ll kick on.

Well done Celtic and well done Wilf, whom I’m sure has ruined Christmas for some.

I’ll be totally honest and say I wasn’t surprised to see us concede a cheap goal and expected the game to finish 1-1, so I’m absolutely delighted with the result and mental fortitude shown by the team.

To mix metaphors, one swallow does not a summer make but the longest journey always begins with the first step.

Hopefully today was the first step 👍
