Doesn’t sound like a spectacular performance, however a win was utterly crucial to our season. We need to keep grinding them out till January and then, once again, decide whether we want to be a proper football club, or a balance sheet in search of a jersey…
We need: A goalkeeper… a creative midfielder… and a goal-hungry striker…
If not, we are relying on HMRC to hand us the title…
This team needs to play its way into form and positive results will boost the confidence of players and fans.
That’s why Rangers came through a tough tie today because they are resilient and expect to win.
Last year we had that quality with the same manager and most of these players. We have mislaid it this year and are nowhere near as impressive as we were in 2010/11. We need to get back there quickly and keep the pressure on.
Rangers luck will run out and a couple of defeats will give them the fear demons.
Hooper hasn’t been the same since Boughera huckled him. The Kilmarnock player put him out of the game last week and, of course, got off scot free. He is a marked mhan in Scottish football and won’t get any protection here. He is a good player but we may need to let him go before he is put out of the game altogether. Compare him to Ki, who doesn’t go anywhere near where it might hurt.
I think we have a very good goalkeeper in Forster. I think we have a very dogdy defence playing in front of him. He kept us in the tie at Rennes.

As a rule ah never criticise anything to do with Celtic, while on clyde ah agree with your sentiment.
Ah made an exception today because ah thought they made light of a previous callers impassioned defence of Lenny and finger pointing at the board for not backing him sufficiently.

All Huns league titles have been won unfairly.
MIBS, SFA, Poalice, Holyrude etc all in on it.
The accentuated cheating for the last 15 (or whatever it has been since Moonbeams took over)was a consequence of Murray’s delusions of grandeur in an attempt to obliterate the history of Celtic being the greatest team ever in Scotland.
With the complicity of all the institutions of Scotland, Celtic’s 9 in a row was cheapened but
luckily for Tims never bettered (God bless Henrik Larsson).
Fueled by this cheating he ventured into Europe with EPL like gusto in in attempt to win the European cup. This for him would have been mission accomplished.
However, the European institutions are not so Hun friendly. The financial escalation that followed was incredible especially when MON arrived on the scene. It was poker at the highest level where the main player can see Celtics cards. When Tore Andre Anarseole was bought for 12 million that was the first time I smelled a serious rat that I thought may
end up in today’s wrangling. Never thought tax avoidance would be it though.
Remember all are out to protect Rangers within Scotland. The problem is their beloved English dont give a monkeys about the huns hence the Tax scam escalations. So dont pin any hope on any backdated Celtic titles or trophies. Not going to happen.
Also. As long as there is a Scotland there will always be a Rangers of some description.
Its all about money and right now the government want theirs.
The question is how much. Dont hold your breath.

Thought our first goal today was a great passing move.
Thoughts on the team
Fraser Forster, should not be serving his apprenticeship in Celtic’s first team.
Adam Matthews good footballer too lightweight vulnerable in the air.
Dan thought he played well when he came on played part in the winner but overall his crimbling display against St Johnstone shows that playing international football for Sweden does not carry the same expectation an pressure as playing for Celtic.
Not up to it.

Kayal, wis convinced he wis fur the off can be brilliant can get caught up an lose discipline.
Forrest poor today but brilliant prospect ability an a fitbaw brain.
Ki ah fav shade recently but a first pick fur me.
Stokes has worked hard this season looks trimmer an fitter goalscorer.
Hooper think he’s maybe playing wae a knock lost his edge at the moment but great striker.
So fae ma point ah view the areas that needed strengthening in the summer still need it.

Not long in from game – good 3 pts but a patchy and sometimes lacklustre performance.
Worries me that everytime we need to play Ledley (or MW/ AM) at leftback – we end up rejigging the midfield/ left side to accommodate them. Ledley worked hard but he is not a leftback and Ki left him exposed several times 2nd half and that’s where their goal came from.
Our slow movement allowed them to reform their 2 banks of 4 too often throughout the match – we looked more dangerous when we counter-attacked.
Kayal wins ball but then turns his back on his opponent inviting a tackle instead of releasing an early pass. Forrest looks lost on the left and looked like he can’t handle 3 games in 9 days – Hooper still looks off the pace.
Mathews, Charlie, Ledley, Victor and Stokes put in a shift – Kayal put himself about and Ki scored but both contributed little to the team performance. We survived Dan and FF still makes me nervous.
We need to get 8 or 9 players firing on all cylinders and playing as a unit – sooner rather than later!
ParkheadcomeSalford gives a valid appraisal the depth of Murdo.
And it is in ex-hun type equivalence found to be very very shallow.
Given the ‘wealth’ of talent at their speed dial disposal throughout
Scotland, why should such an esteemed institution have such a reliance

Murdo, unlike the majority of shortbread sportscene played for Celtic.

I can’t see Neil Lennon winning the League for us. Another nervy performance today. Every game I watch I have less and less faith – my head tells me we need a change – I still have hope he can turn it around but I feel we need to rely on the Taxman to give us even a slim chance. I admire Neil as a person and feel for him about the abuse directed towards him. He was a Celtic Legend on the park but there’s no evidence he’s going to make it as a manager. The best thing he could do is head down south and serve his time managing a smaller club away from the gold fish bowl that’s (that was) Scottish Football. Being a Great Player and a Great Manager are two different things – Neil needs time to develop as a manager without the immense pressure of managing one of the biggest clubs in the world. There’s no doubting his commitment and dedication to the club but what do you do when your best is not good enough?
So what’s the answer well I Have A Dream of an experienced manager with full control of all football matters, a reasonable budget and an appetite for bringing through the youth into the first team. I Have A Dream that one day soon Martin O’Neil will back as Director of Football. I Have A Dream that Martin with his dream management team with maybe Henrik Larrson or Paul Lambert being coach. I Have A Dream that Peter Lawwell will have a reduced role, focused only on the commercial side with his bonus tied into success on the park basically if we don’t win the league he gets nothing. Lets hope we dont have another nightmare season being runners-up.
