The objective was to get EU footie after Xmas but for me there is little satisfaction to be had from this. Such a poor performance and another CL defeat at home this time to a team we should have dominated. Impressed with Oli in second half. The bhoy looks like one for the future.
Could have been worse. You could have spent 200 million on a player and get beat 3-1.

Anderlecht were the better team on the night but well done Celtic for reaching the EL. However, it’s not going to be a picnic if we play like that!
What to say after that, the typical Celtic double edged sword, great to be in the Europa but that was very disappointing tonight..

Poor performance and a poor CL campaign.
We’ve finished third because of 60 minutes against one of the worst team performances I’ve ever seen in the cL groups
Anderlecht all looked like better footballers than us tonight which is a worry
Never setup to win match…or play…poor all round…why qualify if you dont want to show how good you are……at least we know. We need another ch…. Or give ajer a run….griff shoud have come on to. Give them a test…butoe did ok
CG Simunovic, Broonyand Forrest and Tierney from the starting line up for me, rest not up to scratch. Better 2nd half but still giving ball away. Boyata very casual. Like OE mobility. Ncham made a big difference. Still EU after Christmas.
Europa League in 2018!
Terrified European play and losing again at Celtic Park not happy our players freeze for 20 or 30 minutes and then try to play catch up what’s going on?

First thing is to say well done to the Celts for qualifying for the Europa League from pot 4.
However, it’s fair to say the team is off the boil and in need of its winter break. We’ve had to peak for a lot of games and it shows. Too many of our top performers from last season, for one reason or another, have failed to contribute to the same level as last season – Moussa, Scotty, Armstrong, Paddy. We’re looking a bit jaded. Hard to maintain that level and that hunger. Brendan has his work cut out to lift us to the same level as last season, but hopefully he can work his magic during the winter break.
Well glad we are through but the team needs an inquest. They seemed to just lose it in the first half. Armstrong was terrible. Sinclair low on confidence.
Brendan needs to act. Get a new centre half in.
Ach well, we lost the battle but won the war…..in a footballing kinda way.
Much better second half, only started playing when Ollie came on.
Unlucky with the goal, hopefully the team and the coaches learn from this and apply what’s needed.
Well done on the progress, but we are still light years away from doing anything on the euro stage.

Sorry bhoys but despite our having Euro football after Xmas that was awful, rank rotten. We will face much better teams than Anderlecht in the EL. Was hoping to see a big improvement over recent euro pumpings and get a wee confidence boost for the forthcoming EL adventure but that first half performance was shocking, thankfully we made a bit of a game of it during the second period but all in all that was utter shi*e.
Shades of the two games against Ajax in 2001 romped the away game and narrowly lost home game. Same outcome though – Progres

Really poor campaign performance wise. One and a half decent performances and three home losses.
