There were two trumpets sitting in front of me tonight in the South Stand. One of them started booing Celtic about 30 minutes into the game and booed the team off at half time. Loads of people roundabout me were unhappy with the performance but criticised and supported in equal measure but stuck with the team. These two guys got up and left early and missed both of our goals. Neither of these guys were old enough or have lived long enough to have seen enough games to have the right to boo a Celtic team

Well guys I hope the testosterone levels have dropped a bit over the last hour or so. Like TOS bhoy, I’ve enjoyed a wee Glass of vino de plonko and reflected on the game. Tontine Tim: possibly MON is right, but that, followed by WGS overachieving in reaching last16 and Lenny reaching last 16 has driven a sense of entitlement that we should always be at that level, whereas since, say 1950, we’ve had around 25 good years (late 60s,70s,2003-2013), out of 64. And those 25 years were basically two cycles – it may be a long time to get back there, if we ever do. I think we are a bit like Ajax (less successful admittedly) – they too have had two cycles – cruyff team and van gaals. Since then (early 90s) they haven’t done much at all in Europe.
Just wondering how many times has anyone watched Celtic play marvelous and loss, I’ve done it loads of times…..!
