And I agree with others , it was a good game .
When you are in front twice it is all the more disappointing to end up with a draw.
Wonder if we could set out to defend that lead in the second half.

Great effort by the entire team. All center backs were fantastic , midfield was great. Palma and Kyogo lively.
Weak links Taylor as usual (ok with ball but out of depth as a defender at this level) and Maeda looks like he needs a rest – rarely found a pass and constantly gave the ball away – why he wasn’t replaced by Johnston or yang is a mystery.
maybe a draw is all we are good for and all we wanted – but against 10 men we could have thrown on Oh
Well, the nerves are settling.
Proud of the effort the Bhoys put in tonight.
We could have one it, so could they.
I was a bit baffled by the managers calls, but he knows best.
I thought Oh should have come on and also a fresh midfielder. We were dead on our feet for 25 minutes.
Scales was outstanding as was O’Riley.
Hart made a couple of good saves.
They are a disgrace. A moaning, diving, cheating, disgrace.
Not the score we wanted but a very good performance against a true CL side.
This will create self belief and confidence that we need.
Simeone was a knob.

Delighted with our bhoys tonight. We are growing together, we can take Feynoord at Parkhead (that’s what I have always called it😀) and gub Lazio away.
For the away match in Madrid I suggest we do what they did in 74 and play a few big lumps from the Juniors to just half them in two until they get sent off – result doesn’t matter!

Ran ourselves into the ground , none more so than the magnificent Maeda. Atletico are a vile lot ,Greizmann goes down trying to get Phillips carded , ref doesnt buy it then they don’t want the trainer on because they know it means Greizmann has to go off at the restart . Simeone is scum , more or less blanked Brendan at the end .
On this showing we are only a couple of players away from making a dent in the CL

Out on our feet,but still tried to play football with some stunning performances from O’Reilly, Scales and the machine that is Maeda.
If only we had another dynamic midfielder to bring on we could have won it.

What we lacked tonight was a stronger bench. When we needed fresh legs the ones available weren’t of the quality we needed.
Poor bernardo is lacking sharpness but ran himself into the ground. Losing reo might get him more game time – he needs it.

Yep a lot of money needs to be spent in January. Fair play to Brendan the Phillips sub seemed strange to me but we got a point against a horrible but very good team.

Spot on . Running on empty against 10 men we were crying out for a winner to come on from the bench but there was no one with the possible exception of Oh.
We need a keeper who is prepared to come off his line or come for a cross. Their equaliser and Lazios winner were identical. A free header with the keeper not close enough to the scorer.

Best performance in Europe for years and we looked like we belong in the CL. A red card for an Argentinian in that strip was a nice wee bonus, too. I thought that Brendan’s change of formation assured us of the point and maybe we’ll see it from the start when we’re in Madrid and Rome. Hopefully, Feyenoord can do us a favour away to Lazio and keep them in a catchable position…

As I said at lunchtime, the only embarrassment would come from the (5%?) of arseholes in the stands.
The result was better than I expected. I’m absolutely delighted.
Off field was perfectly predictable..

The need was very obvious. Someone might even have mentioned this at half time….
I agree regarding the bench. The drop on levels is kind of ok domestically, but not in the UCL.
To be fair, at the start of the 2nd half, AM were outstanding. We had trouble getting near them, but eventually. we adjusted.
These performances against teams like this, helps us raise our own levels……as long as we hang on to our players….

FT: Celtic 2-2 Atletico Madrid
Despite scoring twice, Celtic registered just six shots tonight, which is their lowest tally in their three Group E games.
There was only one effort on goal in the second half, with James Forrest sending the ball harmlessly over the top.
