    We could do with a RB to be back up for Ralston and a LB that Taylor can be back up for. Anything over and above would be a bonus .

     

     

    Our new attitude was summed up for me in added on time when Ange was urging Welsh and Starfelt up for the corner , instead of trying to kill time by keeping it up at the corner flag .

    Great night … fantastic when the North Stand stood to applaud big Tone right at the end of the game ….

     

     

    Ange implemented a plan B to shore the game up and if you think back there has been many games when we would have coughed up a goal … ….

    I’m deliriously happy after that performance tonight. The team played out of their skins. What can you say about Anthony Ralston, Tom Rogic and Strphrn Welsh, to mention a few. We need to hide behind a cushion to watch our defence but going forward we are sublime. As for Kyogo Henrik Furuhashi ………… incredible player. It’s been a few years since I enjoyed a match at Celtic Park so much. Ange is bringing back the Thunder. Well done everybody including our incredible noisy, raucous support.

    really enjoyed that. Good coaching, effort , strategy and freedom to express – cannae whack it

     

     

    we do need to tighten up defensively but in some aspects from the previous regime, we already have

     

     

    Some brilliant bargains in Kyogo and Abada. Wonder who takes the credit for this turnaround. Ange talks of the club doing deals but is he highlighting the players?

    Inquitisiv- true, not a huge amount of time left. We really need some certainty on Eddie and Christie quickly given how close the deadline is. Love ICT and the Greek fella (or Henry) seem to be our replacements for Christie/Eddie that we’ll likely only pull the trigger on when their futures are settled.

     

    I expect Juranovic in this week and Scales at the end of next week. Not sure of Scales is coming in as a left back or Centre Back – assuming the latter, so a LB (since Hickey we haven’t been linked with any) should be our scouts’ priority.

    A curate must be missing an egg somewhere — our performance was patchy to say the least.

     

     

    When we were good we were great.

     

    When we were poor we were awful.

     

     

    Huge improvement over the past 7 weeks but the sloppy / wasteful / low energy play from last season still affects some players all to often.

     

     

    The new players — CS apart unfortunately — all play with AP’s instructions to the fore.

     

    Some of the regulars lapse back into last season’s NL’s inspired shambles all too easily.

     

     

    JH = Revelation and his confidence and maturity rub off on the team.

     

     

    AR = The guy has a heart the size of Jupiter and he has grown in every game.

     

    SW = Slowly but surely he is managing to handle the pressure put on him.

     

    CS = Seems to be playing a different game from the AP inspired rest.

     

    GT = He would be poor if he was still playing with Killie in the SCh.

     

    Just doesn’t have the emotional capacity to play big boy football.

     

     

    DT = He has got the talent and the class to control a game but he needs to work on his energy and defensive duties.

     

    CMcG = Good water carrier but couldn’t keep weans out a close. Playing in the wrong position at the moment — he is at his best at this level when he is a left sided AM.

     

    TR = Complete revelation — back to 2017 with an extra helping of ball winning.

     

     

    LA = 19 years old and showing too many how it is done — huge talent.

     

    KF = All action guy who scores goals for fun.

     

    JF = Huge talent who is struggling to get up to AP’s standards — some glimpses of his ability but all too often he is sloppy and wasteful.

     

     

    Special mention to OE who is class even in this company — slowly getting back to his best. Some way to go but he is trying.

    not long in from the game from my relocated seat in section 118 , have to say and I have been his biggest critic but A Ralston was my man of the match , take a bow , Welsh nor far behind , but Taylor was rubbish and as far as Star felt goes a very poor player , moved to the right hand side but still a nightmare , doesn’t matter how many games he gets to settle in , he is a bombscare.

    There’s not a player in the WORLD that can perform without making at least one mistake over 90 mins.

     

    There’s not a team in the WORLD that can play a full 90 mins without the opposition getting at least one chance.

     

    Celtic, mistakes included, were terrific tonight.

     

    Anges game management was superb

    Singing about revolutionary violence and physical force republicanism is not a good look.

     

    It shows how far we have moved on as a support that nobody wanted to join in.

     

     

    If they do get to join up then the current generation of Burton’s Commandos will not be short of tea boys.

    Not a night for negatives, that was a top performance against a decent, if rusty, team. Agree with Roberttressell that for the first time in years, I don’t have that doubt in the pit of my stomach when playing in Europe. Yes, I know we’re still at the qualification stage but I have more confidence in our defence. Hart will challenge Kyogo for best buy of our season, he excuses calmness and an air of authority in defence which is contagious. As another pointed out, all four defenders made mistakes tonight, but they plus JH are becoming a unit.

     

     

    Would love to hear Lennon’s thoughts on the team, seemed happy to embrace the limelight up to the Midjtylland result, oddly dipped below the radar since then…not unlike our Australian CQNer who was keen to tell us on a daily basis how poor a coach Ange was and what a massive mistake it was to hire him….

     

     

    Jeez, felt a bit like Father Ted with his Golden Cleric acceptance speech just there, need to rein it in a bit😉
