Doubtful Jota could play 90 mons. Was always likely that Idah would play part of game and Maeda through the middle for part

Maeda is our best striker. Wonder if that fact will be accepted now

he is our most productive striker
He movement and pressure causes so many problems
He must start up top
Especially now we have Jota
Architects of our own defeat, 2nd goal not marking one of the best strikers out there.
Board wrote us off in this tie so didn’t bother signing the striker we needed.
As ever, frustrating stuff.
Oh well we lost 1-2 tae the might Bayern but still had a goal chalked off and a good penalty turned down, suppose the bonkle bigot still has a bit of influence over us.
Maeda our best striker ? Possibly. But game state comes into play.
BM 2 up and dropped the levels just as Maeda is moved upfront.
Last few minutes they again press the life out of us and we can’t mount attacks.

Brilliant performance against one of the best teams in Europe, we need a couple of upgrades, but defensive shape and defending for 44 minutes was excellent, I don’t think any teams in Europe lose so many goals in first 5 minutes, or right before and after HT,still in the tie

Well done Bhoys. A real shift, at this level a couple of slip ups make a big difference but, by God, we are a decent team and I am proud to be a Tim.

Credit to the Bhoys for making a game of that in the end. The final 30 mins were good with Yang and Schlupp really making a difference. Celtic looked fitter in the end but there’s a huge gulf in class that we are going to find tough to deal with in the 2nd leg.
Really poor that Kane was left standing alone in the 6yd box for his goal. It’s where our left back should have been.
Strange that Hatate finished so strongly after a poor first hour – I hope he figures out how to play from the start next week.
Overall proud of the Bhoys tonight – we put up a good fight.

Celtic excellent in the last 20 minutes. Outplayed in the first 70 by an excellent Bayern team with sharper pressing, better inter passing and more self belief. Hoefully our last 20 minutes will inspire the team next week and we unsettle Bayern in the same way we played the last 20 minutes
Plenty colour from the Bayern fans . Unfortunately we are not up to taking on the likes of these teams .
Back to lifting trophy’s and humping the hxxx ya beauty .

Very proud of the team and their (daizens) energy
Fantastic performance against one of the best teams in the world. We were poor for their second goal as no way Kane should be left unmarked in the box but that apart we were brilliant. Big shout out for Yang who I have been critical of in the past but he made a big impact when he came on. Man of the match for me was Arne Engels. He played with a maturity way beyond his years. Extend his and Maedas contract now.

So does Dallas call the ref directly to ask him not to give a penalty?
At the referee training camps are they being told that it’s a penalty unless it’s Celtic that would be winning the penalty?
Johnson and Engels went for the same ball at a corner and we were punished by Kane unmarked 3 yards outside the back post, we got at them a couple of times and Idah should not be offside when Kuhn shot, poor from him. Biggest difference for me was the midfield McGregor stood out for us didnt see much from Engels or Hatate.
I expect my left back to be near the back post when we’re facing a corner from the right hand side of the goal. It looks more like Taylor’s error than AJs for Kane’s goal.
Daizen when he moved to striker was an agent of chaos

We played well for most of the game and were well structured.
Every time Dortmund got the ball out looked like they’d score. That wasn’t the case tonight.
Im a fan of Taylor but i thought big Schlupp made us look more solid at the back.
Also, so far i don’t think we’ve missed Kyogo.
