If we are playing Idah, then give long balls for the first twenty minutes. Put them under pressure. Play off the second ball.
And, do not flute around at the back for the added on time. Don’t take short free kicks when you are a goal down in injury time, put the big lads up and senď it into the box ! End of rant.

Daizen must be our starting striker for a period, mostly in our important games (as I still have hopes that Idah can develop into a sutton/hartson smashing machine)

Our season is just starting as yours is falling to pieces
Acht well, it really is a gulf in composure and decision-making at this level.
Were we too awed or conservative; or just boxing clever? A lot of safe, reverse passing against a side that can easily spring creative forward passes.
No shame in our showing; could we have believed in wursels a bit more mibby ?

1st goal, gets a bit of luck with a ricochet
2nd goal, if there is one player/chin you dont leave unmarked in the box……..
Small steps . the last quarter of the game was one of them . We found the belief we lacked in the first three quarters of the game . We are a few players short at this level but if we can start the way we finished we will one day cause a real upset .
If only the board had backed brendan and he didnt make a statement to the boad by playing idah up front isntead of daizen….

Olise and Sane replaced after the hour mark,cost Bayern a reported 103 million euro…sort of quality they could take off.We were not disgraced,looking back on the chances Hatate and Jota had….and if only AJ had squared the ball when his half hit effort went out for a corner.Bayern are a very good side…we lost but,again,not disgraced.
A decent performance from watching on TV against a team with some exceptional individuals but not an exceptional team.
After years of spl teams playing doing the same to us it looks like we’ve decided to apply the same tactics in Europe. It’s not necessarily a pretty way of playing at home and the half time stats made for bleak reading but the pragmatism that some of us called for was there tonight.
Progress from previous seasons, no doubt but not necessarily the step change yet. We need better individual players within the new system, true European class quality.
Celtic won’t often come up against a team with a worse manager at this stage of European competition as we did tonight.
The challenge, as ever is not about spending money but spending it well.

His strength power and guile were 10x compared to the BVB game, where they targeted and bullied him.
All about opinions I suppose and I’m grateful we’re not reflecting on a doing from that team and rather discussing the relative merits of performance.
I thought,that was another Zagreb performance tonight.Shit scared to go forward in the first half.This team was beaten,3-0,in their last game.What made us stand off them for 45 minutes.
Our whole selection was wrong.You dont take your main goalscorer,and stick him out on the wing.We sign a brilliant winger,and put him on the bench,to accommodate the striker taking his position,FFS,its not rocket science.
You go for it from the word go.Anybody tell me

Given the gulf in spending power that was a performance to be, on the whole, proud of. Still the few mistakes that get punished but we are making progress and need to continue to back the team financially. I don’t think we stood off them, we just couldn’t get near some of them. That first goal was near where I sit and was a rocket – that young guy is some player.

FFS….We are still in the tie….yes the odds are against us….but we’re still in it….Bayern are a very very good team…they’re movement and pressing was tremendous… the ref looked scunnered when he had to award us the goal….the same ref was never giving us the penalty….a penalty that Bayern would have got….too many “Managers” on here tonight…get a grip…and stop spouting shite…
