By the way – WHAT AN ENGINE that laddie Christie has – unbelievable effort. Lost count the amount of times he appeared from nowhere to nip in and take the ball from a Clujie. He’s in real danger of being a great midfielder.
And big Elhamed – as solid a buy as we have made in years – loved his run around the outside of North Stand linesman to continue his harrying of two Clujies that resulted in them conceding a shy down near their corner flag – brilliant!!!
Watched the full game again when I got in last night (including the usual slow motion replays) – we really could have scudded them by 5 or 6.

I had to be somewhere last night so I saw only the first half of the game in Switzerland and none of the Celtic game live. Within the first minute or so, the commentator – that fugitive from BBC Scotland? – nailed his colours to the Sevco mast. He spoke of Sevco’s towering display in the last match; the ‘desperation’ of the Swiss defence; and he drooled over a wondrous Sevco pass. Incidentally that same pass went straight to a Swiss player.
I have never ever heard any Scottish commentator take such a partisan stance toward Celtic. Indeed, as often as not, their sympathies seem to lie with the opposition. I wonder why.
