All Portuguese teams out tonight might tell you something. My tipping us getting Arsenal in the next round obviously jinxed both clubs. Hopefully my other prediction of sevco away to Donetsk on the 12th March comes to fruition.
Brendan Fraudgers passing across the back when the other team is pressing you is a nightmare and should be stopped immediately.
Also I’m sorry to say but Simonovic should never kick another ball for us.

Lenny’s had a great year, building a really exciting team, but he had a stinker tonight. Team selection, formation and tactics miles off. He was out-thought tonight.
Disappointed to go out to inferior opposition (yet again).
However, the main thing is.the league. We mustn’t allow this quite dismal collapse to infect our confidence. Write it off, go again.
Wait for Sevco’s inevitable financial collapse and Big Pistol can knock himself out selling off the family silver in the summer!

Lots on here are saying that 10IAR is more important and I tend to agree.
However, a quick question. If/when 10IAR happens or if/when the other mob eventually stop our run, will Europe matter more again?
Look at the celebrations from their players and fans. Think back to the feeling when Ntcham scored in Rome.
There are some big hitters in the next round but also some winnable ties….I don’t see why a club like ours can’t look to get to the business end of this competition or the knock-out stage of the CL.
Many on here seem resigned to our fate….

It’s frustrating to lose what was almost an exact repeat of the Cluj game in August. As a team, we don’t seem to have taken on that lesson.
Let’s see out the league and in the summer look to add quality and depth at the back.
Tonight is nowhere near as damaging as the Cluj defeat but Cluj will happen again in the summer a head if we don’t finally start to significantly up our game management in Europe.

Ron67. You really should take a look at yourself. Jozo & Ajer were the weak links at the back Julien & Taylor were the best of our defenders.
so julien couldn’t have done better at the first goal or played a better clearance at the third, some are easily pleased also he barged into their goalie or CMcG goal would have stood, never criticised Taylor , playing 3 allegedly centre backs in a back 4 is suicidal.
When we got dumped out the champions league earlier in the season these pages were filled with folks [including myself i think] for us to concentrate on the league title and not be too concerned about the Europa League.
Truth is we have been excellent in both…until tonight.

Both Celtic and Braga were expected to win their ties, Braga never looked remotely like scoring whereas Celtic did but were unable to take their chances. Copenhagen had three chances from our mistakes and scored. Incidently the Danes budget is practically the same as Celtics I believe. Hugely disappointing after a great campaign. Christie drive and energy and Ntcham badly missed to-night.

I am not a fan of long balls from back to front but tonight when they were pressing us and we were getting further and further back, we just need to pick a corner or try and hit a forward and defend in their half not on our own 18 yard line.

Isn’t the above within the remit of the manager? Tactics, formation, discipline, game plan etc.
Twice this year a 0-0 at home would have taken us through and we have conceded 7! This is not down to having poor CBs, it’s down to poor tactics etc. Otherwise, how can Sevco get away without conceding? Is it on account of their world class CBs Goldson, Katic and Edmundson (a guy signed from Oldham!)? Of course not, it’s tactics, formation and managerial input.
