Interesting to note that Newco hammered the current Danish league leaders back in August even though they were mid-season. Another reason why Celtic should be beating Copenhagen.

Sorry Celtic40me. That had already been dealt with. I’m as far off the pace as Brooney was tonight. Think it’s time to go to bed.
Suddenly the Saints & Livi games have become hugely important.

I fear CalMac will be off in the summer. No way Pedro turns down big money for a 27 year old (as he will be then). I also fear the lad himself might want to go and play EPL and ECL with more likelihood of success than our EPL nursery team.
To the balance out there who are sticking with our excellent but very unlucky team tonight….good night.
To the moaners and whingers?…….I remember the early 1990s when the only real highlight in a season was watching Paul McStay and imagine what we could be with some decent players around him.
Oh and the European run was usually over by october .
Nights like tonight are just a blip…we are living in incredible times.!!!!!

At this stage of a European competition you will some times see a team give away one joke goal but you will seldom see them give away 3.
Jozo duffs the pass back then Jullien falls over at the first , then Jullien miskicks a simple clearance at Rogic who falls over at the second , then Brown and Ajer flail at the ball allowing N’Doye to waltz straight through them and score.
Is Efe still a free agent? What about Tebily ? Cha Du Rei? Get them signed!

don’t be to critical of julien or you will get a reputation on here.

Going through to the last 16 wouldn’t be much of a consolation if we were sitting 12 points behind in the league.
We’re a team that plays on front foot and are easy on the eye. That has brought us lots of domestic success and will do so again this season.
Sevco are a team based on organisation and effort.
Both styles are the reason why they’re in the next round and we’re not.
Both styles are the reason why we’re winning everything in Scotland and they’re winning nowt.
Against domestic opposition that sit deep, we’ve the guile to break them down and score. They don’t and routinely struggle against teams that sit very deep and defend without errors.
In Europe their style suits as they can counter. In Europe our style tends to kills us as we’re far too open.
There’s a lesson there for us and I hope we take it on board for next season’s champions league qualification.

hopefully, with the threat of a pandemic upon us, all future rounds of this seasons EL will have to be played behind closed doors.

we’ve been playing basketball football since lennon’s first stint
no overall control of any game against any half decent side

Thumbs up. Lenny specializes in coming back ftom setbacks like this. An iron will and a rock hard mentality.
As he pointed out tonight he’d been around a while now so this is nothing new. A year ago this week was a case in point

Without a doubt my least favourite trip to see Celtic in a long time
Performance was bad and I’ll get to that later but the level of arseholes at this game was strange
Did season ticket holders buy the extra tickets and pass them all on to neds?
Mental young ones all over town, pubs and then the game. All left at 3-1
Still running around town singing RA songs and up for fighting. Not a happy old man tonight

So your fine coming on s Celtic blog …
..you know what forget it….. I’ll hear enough tomorrow.
Can’t believe you’ve been supporting anyone with your vitriol.
Ah well, if you can’t take a defeat you shouldn’t follow sport. Thats me talking to myself after 7 pints.
I wasn’t great company earlier but time heals. Nobody died.
I got up on the stage in our local and rattled out a few rebel songs, which I rarely ever do. It helped.
School tomorrow. Feck, I have been working since 1974 ! I love Celtic, I know Neil Lennon loves Celtic. He got it wrong tonight. Does that mean he has suddenly become a failure ? No he is doing grand. He gets it. Shit happens.
I really do love Celtic. Anyway I have to finish this pint before the taxi comes.
All the Celtic fans on here get it. The hun lurkers ? Sorry for your troubles..

Wrong
Another beatles lick credited to John Lennon…..you will find this is a George song and vocal.
Uusually the Beatle that sang it wrote it.
Anyway I am more interested in our Lennon tonight.
For all I love him I think he did get it wrong tonight.
Not enough options on the bench perhaps.
Rushed previously injured players back for 90 mins perhaps.
Was Frimpong injured?
vitriol – towards the team – dont agree – frustrations vented – agreed
however, after a step away, apologies for vitriol towards yourself
result has gotten the better/worst of me
tomorrow will be murder too
Spikey, no problem. I’m hurting and talk shite. Wasn’t having a go, just frustrated and trying to make sense of things.
Peace out
Art of War – Nice One – Peace out indeed
Ps. Will follow wife’s advice and will play Glen Daly on way into work
Remember folks only a game
If you are lucky enough to have parents still alive or indeed healthy children
Now that’s important.
The Europa league is nice enough and we do want to do well
but it is not really anything worth being miserable over.
My body knows this
I was incredible pragmatic and calm in those last 15/20 mins considering.
If that was a league game I would be having a stroke.
Disappointed but hoping next week to be calling this a blessing in disguise…the league is everything this year.
lazydynamite – never a truer word
however in the last 15 mins – i wasnt so much calm as resigned to our fate
having seen the movie many times Cluj, Malmo, Maribor in recent times – Partizan Belgrade back further
Ernie might be right regarding the possibility of COVID-19 playing havoc with future games.
Let’s be honest what would you rather have visited upon you, the huns or the Corona Virus?
