So Stevie G doesn’t think his team should need to work so hard at Perth to get a result, what an arrogant git he is!

  2. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

Love Mikey’s close control, movement and general sharpness. Would have liked to have seen him playing off Dembele. Good future ahead of him if he keeps working at his game.

Enjoy the States. TR couldn’t make the match. Ryan sends his thanks for your seat.

He had fiver on Mikey Johnston hat trick at 80/1. Shoulda got a £400 Christmas present fae bookie.

For a lad with no visible sign of upper body strength, he is a deceptively strong young bhoy.

  6. Mikey in his last two games has been good but a few times he has been eased off the ball..fairly I may add…have watched him play for quite a few years and I’m not surprised. Look at the difference in KT and Ryan Christie since the upper body work. Smashing lad as well.

Thought Sinclair had his best game this season yesterday and calmac was majestic. Signs are good for the next two games with Aberdeen being the infirm team. 2 victories will set us up nicely for the second part of the season and a good break for the bhoys.

    On to the rebel treble

    ???x2

  7. Interesting game yesterday, thought Dundee were not as physical against us as some. The few crunching tackles they made were treated leniently.

Yet it afforded us the little bit extra time and space to play the high temp passing game we should always be playing. Some of the passing and movement was sublime and we could have had a bucket load. It was great to see Ralston and Mikey Johnston have another excellent contribution.

As far as the Johnston /Morelos debate goes, firstly I can never imagine these type of Sevco players in the hoops, just doesn’t compute. Yet having said that he seems to have improved as a player under Gerrard and brought some end product to his industry.

Yet he certainly isn’t in the same class as any of our forwards, Mikey is young and has a lot of development in front of him but potentially is a great player and is at the right Club to see that happening.

Morelos is not a great player…

    Hail Hail

  8. Had to nip oooot

GFTB – try reading my posts again, I never said I had never seen him play.

From what I have seen, he would not see 45mins of any game with us ( his style of play, would not be tolerated by Refs if in our jersey)

I will repeat, at 19, I would much rather see a highly talented, pacy, tricky Johnson, in the hoops than the player you like. Young Mike has 3 years developm not to reach his level

I believe in 3 years he will be miles ahead, from what I have seen, and having witnessed young Mike yesterday against – only Dundee

At that game incidentally their main CH ( No15) was their best player in my view, so he done exceptionally well against a 6’4″ CH

  9. Leeds Utd are doing well this season, top of the Championship and looking like promotion contenders.

When they went into administration some years back, there was a rather murky creditors agreement that kept them going.

Now the EFL found themselves in a difficult position and they continued in the league but I thought the EPL stated they would not give Leeds Utd membership of the Premierleague until they came clean on some issues…

…has this been resolved, is it water under the bridge!?

Would be interesting if the EPL refused them admission.

    Hail Hail

What pitch invasion? Are you sure?Surely it would have made news of some sorts.Maybe tomorrow’s papers will carry some info.

  12. Kikinthenakas & Chairbhoy

Did Sinclair play well due to the way Izzy & Olly played ??

Sinclair also done well about 2 weeks ago with Izzy beside him

And was Sincy, not player of the year with Izzy beside him

    Now there’s a football discussion

  13. Allmore – you picked a great game to go to?

Looking forward to seeing you on the 29th for a big Toronto welcome ?

  14. BHOYL83-couldn’t agree more regarding slippy ?

By they way no need to spell prick as pr!ck cos that words ok on here???

  15. Aye, hun thugs running aboot the park, and if, if, if, if, Celtic supporters would have come down from their wee persecuted, smug, green-hun, ivory towers, and joined forces in solidarity, with the likes of, Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Motherwell, Hibs, even Hearts supporter’s, and jointly announced that, these supporter’s, and others, would boycott Scottish fluteball, until, Rangers FC have been investigated, and been made to repay the money and trophies that they had swindled.

Sadly, as we all know, that didn’t happen, and that ship has sailed.

Moving the issue forward, to the point were, Rangers, £49 Rangers, came back into the league two years ago, the Celtic PLC board knew that they had a problem!

The team was on its erse, after being knocked out of the SCSF vs Rangers, (i know that Ronny had just achieved two titles in a row, well, in a one horse race, how could he not win?) anywye, Rangers, who were in the league below us, and, as a consequence, 30,000 seats fell empty, The Resolution 12 Requisitioner Rebel’s were marching up the Celtic Way, looking for answers and, cooperation, neither of which was forth coming, which fueled the suspicions that, the PLC were up to their necks in the cover up, of the Rangers / SFA swindle, which was designed to cheat, Celtic managers, players, and supporters.

So, how would the dubious custodian’s of, Celtic FC, get themselves out of this, self inflicted, perfect storm ?

    Well, it went like this,…..

The PLC, fired what could have been their last bullet, and bhoy did they hit the bulls eye.

The PLC, with the 30,000 empty seats biting its erse, decided to lay out £45,000 a week for a manager, who would, not only fill the 30,000 empty seats, but, he brought back, the waiting list, or so they say ? Hmmmm, anywye, Brendan would monster the meager Scottish game, skelping every skint pub team that was thrown at him, and winning an unprecedented, 7 seven trophies in a row, magical. Long may it continue, with Bell’s on, Jungle Bell’s. ??

    A master stroke ?

Or, is Mr Rodgers the PLC’s ‘same a club’ fudge ?

I think that that, is the ‘real’ reason that Brendan was sourced out at a hefty wedge ££££.

The PLC’s master stroke, has got them off the hook, in terms of the PLC having to address the ‘same-club’ issue, by getting the fans going ga-ga about Brendan, that allowed the PLC a vacuum, which they filled with the, Sevco / Rangers £49 ticket question, which meant that, as soon as a single Celtic supporter purchased one of those £49 tickets, then that was the ‘same-club’ issue destroyed on the spot!

Or, if your a cynic, the PLC bought the Celtic supporters on one hand, with the recruitment of Brendan, and then, the PLC sold the Celtic supporters on the other hand, with their ‘same-club’ issue, trick, by getting Celtic supporters, to not only walk into the £49 trap, the PLC put, Brendan blind folds onto each supporter, then they laughed all the way to the bank, as the Brendan blind folded, ga-ga Celtic supporter’s danced over the cliff, along with the ‘same-club’ issue, and all that that entailed!

Fast forwarding to today, what is the PLC’s policy now, regarding the huns great swindle of, £140 million +, and 20 odd trophies ?

Are the PLC going to destroy the team from Ibrox with, Celtic trebles, year in, year out, so that the PLC don’t have to go near the hun swindle ?

Or, will the PLC plunge the club into crisis by scunnering Brendan oot the door to collapse the ten 10 in a row effort, given that, in the last two 2, transfer window’s, the PLC have put Brendan’s nose out of joint ?

Will this be three 3 pishy transfer window’s in a row for Brendan ?

Do the PLC think that, a Celtic ten 10 in a row would demoralise the product of the ‘Old Firm’ beyond repair, which the PLC wouldnt like, imho ?

Is there an Israeli influence on the Celtic PLC board ? ?

Only 000’s of empty seats will lead to a new, board that could be trusted, imho.

    Do the river’s run free in Lapland ? ?? ⚽ ✔

    Oot.

  16. Gerryfaethebrig on

    NorrieM

Wasn’t looking for a response but where did I say “a player I like” but make it up as you go …

Why would you watch a team that in your mind doesn’t exists ?

    The mind boggles

  17. Morelos, who goes between the sublime and ridiculous,on a weekly basis, could be a danger to us.No use kidding ourselves on.I dont expect him to if Boyatta and Benko are on their game, but never say never.

We are so far ahead in the midfield area,it is a no contest.

Watching their last couple of games,if we turn up,they could be onto another drubbing.I mean,3 or 4.They are a poor team, with a hit and miss striker, their results usually go with whichever Morelos turns up.

  18. Incredible statement today from Gerrard.

What an absolute arse of a man to show such disrespect to fellow professionals.

  19. Johnson appears to have very good pace and technique, he has good awareness of the game and a directness i like. He carries the ball very well, is skillful and he has good movement from what i have witnessed. Always enjoy watching his likes.

He is still young and will hopefullly continue to develop. He may benefit from more strength but that will come with age. He is another celtic kid living the dream. Lets hope he reaches the top.

A youth academy that produces one 1st team player for own club every couple of years is successful. celtic should hopefullly see the fruit of its labour (academy/ school partnership) now that it has been up and running for eight or so years, with our first batch of kids that went through that system only now hitting the 17/18 years age bracket

  20. Israelies on the Board. Most of Scottish football, except Celtic tried to put the Huns in their place. The Board dont want to win 10 in a row.

    The ravings of a lunatic.

  21. Anytime I watch more than five minutes off them all I can think is I honestly can’t wait to tear them a new one?

    There absolutely pitiful ?

  22. NORRIEM @ 8:15 PM,

Actually had this discussion over a beer with a fellow Tim last night…

If Sinky is playing better without KT what does that mean?

Not sure how much of it’s down to Sinclair’s much improved form but no doubt about it, he seems more comfortable with Izzy behind him. Olly was also good on the left.

We were definitely getting more from the left wing than from the right.

    DELANEYS DUNKY @ 8:15 PM,

    Too True…

    Hail Hail

  23. Gerry

    What makes s difficult

I watch Celtic, and Celtic games

Would I not have seen this player against Celtic ?

And to be clear, Gerry, I have never been to a Celtic v Sevco 2012 game,

    My choice

  24. NORRIEM@8-15

Posed same question yesterday and got zero response.

Izzy and Ollie completed a nice little triangle that created more options for Sinclair.

  25. Gutenberg

    Huge Congrats on LMS ??

CRC was looking for you yesterday ( he was sitting with me),

Think he was hinting at offering a cash out option ???

    That the FD in him

  26. Can I take this opperchancity to wish all my fellow Tims a very merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year

  27. Cheers Norrie,

I was fast running out of teams to pick so I was lucky it went my way yesterday.

Didn’t make the game as I had something else on but got to watch it via a stream.

Agree with you re Mikey, looks a fantastic talent.
