  1. Maeda’s chip best since Henrik?

And Jota will become our biggest star since Henrik. Under any normal circumstances he would be way outside of our budget. Genuinely astounded that Ange didn’t try to take him to Spurs.

    Good night everyone

  2. Bada Bing

    Re Jota

    Totally agree.

If there is such a thing as the Celtic way then Jota is it.

  3. Brilliant display all round.

Maeda, Jota, Engels and Kühn absolutely TOP Bhoys tonight!!!

    The Glasgow Celtic way!!

  4. glendalystonsils on

The big difference in the second half was the one touch instead of 3 or 4 touch fitba . It gave us the time and space on the ball we didn’t find in the first half . The moves flowed slick and pacy, and Dundee couldn’t get near us .

  5. Just back in from game .

    Tremendous performance and result .

Maeda’s chip was up there with Larsson.

The very thing I said to guy next me .

Well done Brendan and the team .

    Very enjoyable evening.

  6. glendalystonsils on

Funny , no matter how brilliantly we play , opposition managers almost never give us credit .

  7. The other player, who was” Born to play for Celtic”the wonderful,Paddy Roberts, was robbed of his chance after being recalled by Man City, after a dazzling 18 months with us.Like Jota,he never found that home again.

    Leaving Celtic broke his heart.

  8. No goal is ” Up there”with Henrik’s chip.He controlled an awkward knock down, nutmegged the Hun CH,then chipped a Sand Wedge, around 10 yards over a World class keeper, from outside the box.

I should know,I watched it blitzed in the Cork CSC.🤔

  9. A lot said about scouting the past week.

Man U paid £90 million for Anthony ,and,£ 65 million for Garnacho, both wingers.

We paid around £10 million, for Kuhn and Jota.

Thats after selling him for £25 million !!!!

Never mind,Huns have got the man who sanctioned those deals on board as their,CEO.

  10. Aipple – could only find two dimes and a nickel.

    Did it work?

PS – I think we are stronger out of this window. Jota self explanatory, Jeffrey is giving me Moy vibes and Kyogo was less effective under Brendan’s regime.

But boy, will we miss Daizen on Wednesday.

  11. That was a wonderful night at Celtic Park.

A brilliant brilliant team performance allows several individuals to be at their best.

Jota is an upgrade to kyogo. There you go.

    Madea can play anywhere.

To those timternet bloggers. You look like absolute entitled tits tonight. Including tornfaced Paul.

I stumbled on the James Forrest Joe McHugh and some other person blog today.

What utter shite they talk for hours. You not got a job. A wife. Weans . Real world problems beyond Celtic PLC not signing a striker.

I asked earlier how to measure improvement.

Beating teams . By more goals.

    In Brendan I trust.

  12. bournesouprecipe on

Celtic give Dundee six of the best.

Jota was like a new signing, as Brendan Rodgers side nailed down ‘the Kyogo window’ for good. Supporters have always got the option to just watch Celtic and read the big room for atmosphere. A totally focused performance in which Celtic oozed quality. Daizen Maeda doesn’t care where he plays on the pitch, every game is the same and Jota very quickly made direct impact in his adopted home town.

Hatate, Engels, and Calmac swept Dundee aside and both teams were unrecognisable from the impasse at Dens Park, a few windy days ago. Arne Engels justifies his start and marshalled midfield on the right flank for Celtic, his pace and ground coverage, is a joy. Bringing on the subs, was like an embarrassment of riches, and Kuhn’s trademark goal, nearly topped Daizen’s Henrik dink. Great goals spread throughout means potential goalscorers from anywhere in the squad, thought Schlupp was a tank, built like Hoopy the Huddlehound.

Celtic win supporters go home happy Blog bluster fades, Celtic lose or “ fail “ © SMSM (including the uninvited) in a transfer window, internet fills up. But from every street in Glasgow they proudly etc, etc

    MOM Daizen Mazda

  13. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Busy day.

Wolfed down my dinner then quickly headed out to the game.

    Great stuff.

Can’t recall the last time I witnessed a second half when the goals just kept coming and each was better than the last.

Jota is a superb technician even not fully fit.

His assist for Daizen and his calm securing of the ball deep in defence which led to the 4th goal were just sensational.

    He looks happy.

But everyone did well. No failures tonight.

Then home, tea, toast, highlights, CQN readback.

Lou Reed might just have been onto something.

    Goodnight CQN.

  14. TEXASTIM

    It worked right away!

I agree. Only saw highlights tonight, not watched full game but Jota back is huge. We looked killer at times.

KT in the summer, a chosen first tier striker in the summer as well. We may already have him? I aint mad right now. Could I have been happier? Maybe. But I remember the high school days and early work years in Glasgow.

These current Celtic days are the best I have experienced in my 5 decades on this dear green earth.

Hopefully see you and others this summer if we do the US tour again.

    Sorry, pressed post too soon…

It’s nice to wake up in the Maldives to read about a Celtic win.

A good morale boost for some players (and fans) too.

  16. Good Morning Bhoys & Ghirls – Grand Day To Be A Tim…

Last night, as I wasn’t getting home until eight at the earliest, spending funds on the ppv seemed wasteful when I could have ignored the score for a bit, and watched the aul’ Celtic TV delayed live from ten….

Looked at the team when it was announced and thought, pay the money tight wade and get home in jig time…

So that’s what I did – best £9.99 I’ve spent in the longest time.

Phenomenal display from the Celtic Glasgow…

No disrespect to the wee mhan, but who needs a Kyogo, when you’ve got back your mojo…

Brilliant goals, from four different scorers, and it’s not any sort of fluke, we know each of the players are capable of that – it was as if Nic Kuhn came on, watching the Jota circus from the sidelines and said – hey ghuys, remember these!?

In fact, on another night, we could easily have signature goals from Calmac, Jota, Bernardo, Hatate, that’s without the new bhoys, who almost got in on the act, and the defence who are more than capable of adding to the goals.

There’s a lot of Tit~For~Tat nonsense on recruitment and on player and team development, but maybe consider this…

For many a long season we have moaned about our; set plays, penalty takers, “shooting boots”, taking our chances, passing etc, etc, etc

There has been major improvement in all of the above…

Of course, here’s the problemo, how do we pick three for JoBo!? No easy task, so let’s give a well done to all the team who contributed hugely to a man.

Jeffrey Schlupp made a very impressive debut, our Captain, fantastic, who could get some well deserved bench time, our rock solid defence, Idah who held the line, scored a great goal – as is his wont, Hatate, back to his purring best…

    …. yet winging it’s way to SENCELPOTY@GMAIL.COM

    1. Meada

    2. Engels

    3. Jota

Fabulous night of football, well done Brendan and the bhoys…

    Hail Hail

  17. Good morning bhoys from the Good n the Bad.

A bit chilly around here but really chilly (-13) in Govan.

Great team performance which keeps everyone on their toes for game time.

It’s nice to wake up in the Maldives

Indeed MH; of all the ‘dives’ I’ve woken up in, the Maldives are undoubtedly the best.

Soneva Gili and Fushi, as I recall. Enjoy !

  19. I’m travelling right now so I had a catch up this morning. Some of the bigoted religious pish the night before the Dundee game was embarrassing and shameful. It wouldn’t be out of place on ff or from our plague of multi moniker losers.

Doesn’t anyone have the mod role anymore?

  20. Majestic Hartson on

    Quadro,

Haha, very good, I’ll be using that one.

Meedhapuru we’re on. Quite far south. Gorgeous and has an unbelievable reef.

Speaking of which, time to get the snorkel on 👍🏻

  21. Enjoy MH. I’m in Singapore but leaving tonight for Melbourne. Enjoying some sun by the pool before the 7.5 hrs flight!!

  22. Good morning from a frosty but otherwise beautiful North Staffs.

Great performance last night – even Idah smiled

  23. Hopefully folks will stop going on about the ‘Temu’ (Pukki) transfer window now and instead enjoy the Jaunty Jota one!

The speed, movement and clinical finishing last night were a joy to behold.

Schlupp John B has something about him as well.
