Really enjoyed the game last night, particularly the second half and 4th goal.
In fact it was so good I’ve just watched the highlights.
In terms of our penalty, look at where the referee is – spoiler alert, the incident took place right in front of him.
He couldn’t have had a better view.
Can anyone explain why he awarded a free kick to Dundee?

Noticed some fholk misconstruing Adam’s “Game Face”….
Hail Hail
…….
Adam has the face of sumbdy who has been sold a pup.
Adam Idah has probably been told about “The Amazing Celtic..”…”And their unbelievable fans…” and Adam has now realised that he’s been told about the old Celtic who were supported by actual fans and not fake Micks on the make.
Adam has been at “Celtic” for over a year now…scored the only goal in the SCF vs fake “Rangers”…after dragging us over the line to win the title away vs Killie….and after all of that…these…”Amazing Celtic fans…”…haven’t sung Adam Idah’s name one single time.
Adam is probably thinking everything that I’ve been told about this “Celtic magic show” has been a pack of fkn lies.
Celtic like every other football club are now grooming kennels…and the players are the dogs who are groomed for sale.
The magic old club is no more.
garygillespieshamstring on
If Melia had signed for Celtic and made the first team, it would have been interesting to hear the crowd chanting “Who’s the Mason in the green”.
DeniaBhoy on
Greg Taylor is 1.70 metres tall and 62 kgs, Schlupp 1.78 and 72kgs . Although not a giant by any stretch of the imagination, he looked comfortable on the deck and in the air, winning a few headers that GT may have struggled with.
GT a fine player but we all know he often has to mark guys at corners and set pieces that he has no chance of winning a high ball against. Schlupp looks like he will provide more of a physical presence. Could be an excellent piece of business.
DeniaBhoy on
Adam Idaho is a shy and unassuming lad who does not tend to over celebrate when going about the job he is paid to do.
His interviews are always low key.
He did a long knee slide last week when he scored and also showed his emotions and delight when “scoring” in the last CL game.
Just wait to see his reaction if he puts us in the lead against Bayern.
QuadBhoy on
Great team performance last night and some amazing goals. With Maeda and Kenny as backup strikers, I think the squad is stronger with Jota over Kyogo; certainly the Kyogo of the last 12/18 months. I think Idah now has more goals that Kyogo from substantially less minutes this season and as much as I love Maeda, especially against tougher teams/away games I think Jota type players are a blessing when playing against ultra defensive teams visiting CP. Got me up off my seat several times last night.
Schlupp after a sticky start (passing to no-one, going backwards too often and positionally a bit all over) came onto a game. I’d still keep GT though for SPFL and hope KT was fit for Euro/bigger games.

“I know it was a rhetorical question, but I suspect the ref might have been cheating. :)”
He certainly seemed to be hurting after having to give 1 of 3 potential penalty shouts we had. Booked Trusty shortly after for a “foul” that seemed 6 and half to me (though I was a wee bit far away and not in highlights so may be wrong).
I think we have to credit the VAR Review show for forcing some fair play with these decisions; I think a lot used to get brushed under the carpet, ably assisted by the very selective media in Scotland.
Final point on VAR checks (@jinkyRedStar).
EVERY goal is checked back from the start of the most recent phase of play – it was certainly odd that the 2nd goal took soo long to check – Idahs run was clearly on and when it came back to him 2 or 3 players (inc goalie) were playing him on. I can only imagine Muir, after (reluctantly?) having to ask for a review of one of the potential penalties was spending time trying every frame/line he could to try to rule it out.

Schlupp was understandably a bit rusty , having played very little football. He eventually got up to the pace of the game and will be a valuable addition for us in the run . He played one perfectly weighted ball over the top to set up an attack for us .

Agree with Quadbhoy and Glendalys that Schlupp looked rusty – I’d first thought a wee bit casual.
Seemed to me thats what led to some early errors, which disappeared as he found the game’s tempo.
For an ‘undecided’ Greg T’s attitude and application has been brilliant – I still hope he hangs around.
Look fwd to Paul’s article praising BR to the high heavens after marshalling last night’s rout.
