  1. I notice that Chelsea were awarded a penalty against Wolves for a push that began outside the box. Is that not the reason that Celtic weren’t awarded one? Are there different rules in Scotland?

  2. 31003

DD knows exactly why that happened.

He allowed it. He should have acted a sacked the guy but instead he allowed him to take the Celtic fans for a ride whilst we watched us fail to beat a pathetic rangers within 90 minutes 5 x and lose a cup final to Aberdeen. The guy spent a year or more driving a wedge between the fans and the board / ownership. The guy took multiple millions each year in salary and took us from the highs of -Ange era to the shit we saw losing to a team with 10% of our squad value in CL qualifiers.

Sure he did well when first here. Credit to him for that but the main man to blame is Rodgers and DD is at fault for not dealing with that. And for allowing Nancy. He did get WGS and NL and BR1 and Ange right. So he is still in credit in my book.

    The rule must have changed…..

It once was a foul that started outside the box …but continued inside the box was deemed a penalty…when it changed I’ve no idea..

  4. 31003

You seem to imply someone benefits from the club not utilising its funds.

I think you would find those funds not even sitting with the business and dividends and leveraged buy out payments eat them up in the future. DD for all his faults is all about asset value growth and not short term dividends. Be careful what you wish for is my thoughts.

Thank you for talking to me without attempting to belittle me the way you do with other posters….and for that I will respond to your post.

I will be the first to say that I agree that Brendan…latterly…was playing games….

Yes, we should have beat Kairat over two legs….but let’s not forget the players at our disposal were equally too blame…

    Yes…we should have beaten Aberdeen…we had the better players…but…they didn’t perform….

Brendan…as far as I can see…was totally scunnered by the boards lazy, lackadaisical, deliberate sabotage of a winning team…

He cried out for early, competent, skilful players to replace those who were sold before replacements were NOT brought in…..

They stripped the heart out of the team and made NO effort to replace them….

Brendan was biting back and who could blame him…

The real losers….the fans who have lived and breathed Celtic since the day they were born..

Both Brendan and the board have set the club back by years……

One problem has been solved…Brendan has gone…. One problem remains…..unless that one problem changes every manager who passes through our doors will end up doing what Brendan did and will be gone..and so it will go on….

  6. The hand of God on

Being at the game I partially celebrated the goal because I thought it was possible the Aurajo had touched the ball was relieved when I saw the replay however was still a bit worried that VAR would have disallowed the goal due to Adamu’s laces being undone. Referee was shocking , look out for him getting lots of Celtic games.

  7. When Rodgers leaves, Trusty, Engels, Idah, on the bench as we fail to defeat KA, costing Celtic £40 million CL Money, whilst out of the other side of his lying mouth, Rodgers bleats for more players as he claims he hasn’t enough players, whilst discarding the players that he got last season for £30+ million.

£70+ million down the pan is a lot of money for a club like Celtic, but easy to pull off when the majority fans are empty heads who learn ZERO.

I mean, only in a Timdom full of dullards who cannot live without their Brendan cuddly toy sitting next to them watching TV at night or whatever these clearly struggling people actually do, then the Brendan grift is always safe, deceitful, but safe in the knowledge that Timdom was on their knees for 9 years on and off eating out of Brendan’s deceitful hands.

The same people lived on their knees for 17 years eating the poisoned apples out of the lying hands of SNP Witch, Sturgeon.

Some folk will go through their entire life and learn ZERO, about life.

  12. spikeysauldman on

So that was a victory for Celtic (guessing the board) over the boycotters ? You are having a laugh.

AOC must have thought he was being introduced on a training day.

Absolutely delighted to be in the next round – we live to fight another day – but that was pretty woeful tho Dundee did play well – especially Dhanda.

Hoping it was a one-off (another one !).

Is big Tam really any better than Johnny Kenny ?

Mvuka looked like someone who had won a competition to play in a match.

What has happened to Bernardo ?

And if Scales is the answer, the only question can be “What do you use to weigh hash ?”. Yes, he has some great last ditch tackles but FFS.

Luke McCowan wouldnt get a game for Dundee if we sent him back.

BUT, when you’re playing in a much changed team, under pressure, needing results, against the backdrop of a transfer window of borrowed rejected players, in zero atmosphere and against some the most biased officiating i’ve seen in decades, then, can we expect anything else ?

On the plus side, JA was excellent again, Seb stepped up and a brilliant flick by Adamu.

i think its also pretty conclusive – Douglas Ross is a ****.

  13. spikeysauldman on

late on when Celtic had a corner that **** Ross tried he very best to interfere with the taking of the corner. First he stepped forward to check whether the ball was still in the quadrant, then he stood right on the corner flag, almost on the pitch. Compare with the Dundee corner at the start of the highlights – https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cdre8d3m26jt.

  14. From ScottishFootyFC

There has to be action taken against the officials involved in the Celtic and Dundee game today…

I’ve seen some blatant cheating, but that is among the worst I’ve ever seen. No attempt to hide it.

If it’s not called out, it will continue.

  15. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

Shlager really caught my eye when he played against us for Salzburg in 18/19 and I thought he was impressive again when we played Leipzig in 22/23.

Looks to have been set back by a bad injury, but if he is over that and can get back even close to his peak level then we would be getting a proper player. Bags of experience in Europe and at international level.

The kind of ‘quality’ BR used to speak about (but didn’t get).

  16. Calmac needs quality helpers o the middle to help him we only have Arne the ain’t good enough a few have even suggested using Welsh as he has a good passing range and can tackle.

    Dallas on VAR.

I will say it again .

    VAR not the issue.

It’s the “Fans” operating it .

  17. Calmac needs quality helpers in beside him in the middle to help him we only have Arne the rest ain’t good enough a few have even suggested using Welsh as he has a good passing range and can tackle.

  18. Many of us are just happy to have got through, and that’s where the focus is, but the fact is that we are in a tight title race and are now being subjected to blatant cheating by multiple officials on and off the pitch. Our club needs to catalogue this over the past ten games or so and take this to the SFA demanding a thorough review of decisions against Celtic v comparable decisions in favour of our rivals. The transfer window is over, they have time on their hands. Start to make some noise. If they want to win back the fans who have lost faith in their management, that would be a good place to start.

  19. As an observation, would anyone agree the cheating has got worse since Lawell announced he was leaving? There was a reason the govanites hated him, he was effective in ensuring Celtic had a strong voice and influence on domestic issues.

This is not to question the fact his time was up for us, but to highlight the fact that those now in charge do not strike fear into anyone in the corridors of power.

  20. Interesting point Deniabhoy, it could be. Either way, Nicholson and Wilson need to deal with this now before our title is stolen by the MIBs

  21. Reading various blogs,Dear God,the shit for brains never learn any lessons. The right winger, Vuku,is a waste of money. This after 45 mins when the guy did nothing wrong.Linked up with his FB,few good balls across, sharp passing.Nice intro.Tounetki will be brilliant until he fails to go by his FB on Wednesday.Fail twice, fekin useless..

    It really is pathetic.

  22. We have the resources to appoint independent consultants – e.g three retired refs from other countries to review recent matches involving all title contenders over a period of time and present findings on the consistency of application of the rules. This could be presented to the SFA in good faith. Some of its finding might suggest we are not being unfairly treated in some respects, but I also suspect they would find a number of errors and inconsistencies that the SFA would have to look at and which its own reviews are not picking up or not admitting to.

If nothing else such a process would tell the MIBs we have their number and we’re watching them

  23. Although last night was a really great cup tie and really good win for Celtic against the odds it should be noted that we were easily passed through a fair bit in the midfield.

Hopefully whoever decided we were not selling Engels and going for Ox C also will be getting plaudits for ensuring we had that gap covered if we do succeed in winning anything this season.

Credit also due to Dundee manager Pressley. He inherited half a bag of spanner’s and recruited no one in first 6 weeks in charge as no one would come to Dundee.

He didn’t loan or whinge about boards or budgets but he got on with the job. Didn’t try to curry favour with fans but used his experience and network to pull together a side which not only won’t get relegated but could beat anyone on their day. He has also galvanised a traditionally dour Dundee fan base. No fancy quotes or clever speak. Just sensible football chat. Respect.

  24. Have a look at Newcastle penalty yesterday. After review it clear defender catches attacker in a tangle of legs but not deliberate, but it’s in the middle of the goal approx 12 yds out. Attacker is prevented from getting to the ball about 2 yds in front of him by the contact/foul. So correct decision is penalty and we wait for the obvious red card for obvious goal scoring opportunity and guess what it did doesn’t come just a yellow. Trusty red looking more and more like an outlier- wonder why?

    ———————————

Do you ever give it a rest?

    BR is an arse…..

Celtic fans want Celtic to lose🤯…..

The board deserve plaudits for “not” selling a player when we have no replacement nor a system for identifying replacements when such situations arise in the weakest area of the team………what next an award for managing to get into office in the morning?

You’re right the Presley has done a good job but can you not just leave it at that without the usual garb?

Its also true that our midfield is poor and guess what, had we invested wisely turned the squad in a professional and timely manner probably wouldn’t be. We’ve just had a 5 week window to strengthen the midfield why didn’t we?

Did you like Dundee midfielder Ethan Hamilton?

  26. Burnley, next you’ll be touting big elvis for the job

    You can’t help but snipe

Have a day off ….you’ll feel better

  27. Some lineup of officials yesterday, who all contributed. It’s ridiculous that Scotland does not have similar criteria in that the refs can’t officiate in games that have a team they supported. Mr Wilson, if you want to win some favour, get this change made. Let’s get some atmos9back in the ground again, with (hopefully) or eitho6the GB. It’s incumbent on all fans to contribute, even if it has to somehow be coordinated. The team needs us.

  28. It’ll be interesting to see how Sky’s ref watch views our penalty claim.

The exact same incident happened a couple of hours before our match in the Chelsea and Wolves game and that pen was given.

So someone is wrong. I suspect I know who.
