The referees are nothing but stagehands, keeping the tired Old Firm show on the road. To question the puppets is an exercise in futility when the puppet-masters, this club, have been pulling the strings at every turn since 2012.
We had our chance. The moment was stark: a rival lay supine on a damp, grey road on the outskirts of town. The barrel was leveled. And we… we holstered the weapon.
We didn’t put the two slugs in the back of the head.
That moment passed. So now? Now you take it on the chin. You swallow the bitter pill. You understand that what unfolds is by design, it’s good for the brand, good for the business.
Let us be clear: this is no longer a football club. It is a corporate entity. To confuse the two is not romance, it is ignorance.

There will be more than a passing interest in Govan in what is happening g in Greece tonight.
A win for PAOK in the saloniki derby and a win for Pana in the Athens equivalent would really boost their chances of direct CL qualification next season should they win the SPL.
Clearly we would be massively disadvantaged v our major rival were this to happen. Of course we can always just win our own league and get to the play off stages our selves.
In that regard it is possible we could kick off on Sunday at Killie knowing a win would take us ahead of both Hearts and the Huns prior to them kicking off at 4.30.

You are a funny chap. 20 years of moaning on here. Unable to hide you bitterness at the clubs success.
For me supporting Celtic is always a privilege. 56 years of enjoying the slings and arrows of supporting Celtic. Benfica at CP 3-0 in 1969, Fiorentina and Leeds in 70, 4-2 with 10 men in 79 was a highlight Unlike some I travelled up regularly during our losing seasons when living in london and took great joy in the odd green shoots back then. Loved the centenary season and the Davie Hay last day at Love St. Wim triumph and MON first and 4th were immense. Sadly Seville season saw us win nothing but enjoyed that ride too. Especially Boavista and the flight back at 3am with the team. Barcelona the next year the same.
WGS era was incredible. Beating Man U and Milan and then winning at Tannidice on TB Thursday. Lenny winning it in 2012 when they died. Invincible season with mum and dad attending their last games was awesome as was Lenny getting the treble treble. Ange gave me joy every game. Just the best football I ever enjoyed. Then a great performance v a poor Leipzig team ensured we reached play off in CL. Last night was great also. In a different way. Plenty of joy there. Unlike yourself who actually never attends and for 20 years has displayed only bitter negativity about those running the show. Despite incredible success.

I recall it clearly: the year was 1891. The decision was made in Inis Turk to witness the famous Glasgow Celtic. So we set off, barefoot of course, through a biblical downpour that lasted three days, just to reach the donkey cart for Derry.
The cart journey was spent with the other lads, reminiscing about the golden age of making rope from hay and singing rebellious ballads we’d composed about the landlord’s sour milk. The boat to Glasgow took the scenic route via Newfoundland for a bit of sea air. We slept on the deck, sustained only by raw potatoes and a shared sense of destiny.
Upon landing, we deemed the direct route to Glasgow too frivolous. To truly earn the spectacle, we walked barefoot via Manchester, adding a fortnight of travel for character building. We’d arrive, feet blackened with the soil of three nations, hearts pounding, only to find the stadium gates closing. “A brilliant victory for Celtic!” a passerby would chirp. “The match ended just minutes ago.”
Without a word of complaint (for complaint would be a vulgar display of lesser fandom), we’d simply turn on our bare, calloused heels and begin the return journey. Not by backtracking, mind you, that would be too straightforward. We’d head east, taking the long way home via Australia, working as deckhands, then sherpas, then amateur myrrh traders to fund the trek. The entire circumnavigation took nearly a year.
But the craic? Unmatched. We’d miss every wedding, funeral, and harvest, but we returned with beards like prophets and blisters that could tell stories. We were legends in the townland, not for seeing the football, but for having almost seen it, with a suffering so profound and a route so needlessly arduous that it elevated mere support into a form of folklore. Anyone can buy a ticket. It takes a real fan to almost make it, on principle, for the rest of his life.
Hard to imagine that anybody that thought Nancy deserved to be kept on would expect to be taken seriously on any matter…..

MO’N can’t work miracles indefinitely and will now if we continue to play at the current level we’ll lose a critical domestic game sooner or later.
The issue is the midfield, which is largely posted missing. Hatate has been a star for us in the past but is now playing like a hostage held against his will and is serially dreadful. Sell to Brazil if we can. CalMac can only perform his own one miracle show for so long. Bernardo just needs to go now. He’s regressing at a scary speed and he could be a decent player somewhere else. Engels is generally decent and excellent from set pieces. Luke showed what a fine impact sub he can be last night but is not a reliable starter. Nygren is a real dilemma. Scores every type of goal and w really crucial ones. Without his contribution our season would already be dead. However, he’s pretty much a man down in midfield in every other respect.
I’m hoping AOC’s class will bail us out for the remainder of the season in the middle. Depends on his fitness but would give us options to move CalMac into a more creative role at times we’re struggling to create. Hopefully he can also tackle because literally none of the others above can, apart from Bernardo. How me miss MO’R getting a crucial foot in. Dundee’s goal was a belter and Yang was very unlucky but CalMac’s defending left a lot to be desired.
Great see KT in such good form, with Saracchi back we have two excellent players in there. Also gives us more cover than Murray and the Brentford lad at centre half as KT can play there with Saracchi at left back. Araujo is superb and young Colby has what it takes to make it at Celtic. Good cover at keeper position and we’re now well covered in the wings and up front. So we’re in decent shape across the rest of the am even without AJ, CCV and Jota. On the disgraceful officiating last night …
There was a large body of material upon which complaints from Celtic could be based.
We need accentuate intelligently.
The penalty? Subjective
The Ross intervention calling the cross out of play? Subjective
So don’t press them.
2 things we should publicly go loco about, IMHO
1. NOTHING subjective about “Time is up”.
That this guy played on while Dundee pursued an equaliser can reasonably be projected as ignoring or not understanding the clearest, simplest rule.
Not understanding is incompetence.
Ignoring is cheating.
Ryan Lee is either one or the other.
2. The assault in Kieran Tierney.
The narrative is simple.
John Beaton DELIBERATELY intervened to get a Celtic player sent off.
Andrew Dallas and David Dickinson deliberately DID NOT intervene for a much worse offence resulting in greater injury to the Celtic player.
And yes, name them.
Unlike incidents favouring R2ngers which irk us, the above happened in our games.
We have locus.
Over to you Celtic.
