  1. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Gary67. I was reading earlier that he is likely to be a Celtic player by Tuesday. So we will have to wait and see. H.H.

  2. JOE FILIPPIS HAIRCUT on 20TH SEPTEMBER 2015 6:07 PM

If true I wouldn’t be surprised to see Stokes head to Bolton on emergency loan.

  3. Said that I would be more disappointed at losing Biton rather than Virgil. Stand by that. Nir is metronomic. Dundee could not live with a high tempo game, fewer sideward passes in the midfield gave their defence less time to organise.

    Go on the famous Tic.

    Congrats to the Metropolitans.

  4. Till later all

    have a great night all

    LYMMBHOY & SOAL

    thank you for goals

no need to watch Hun bbc tonight

  5. What is the Stars………….,For fk sake me a west Brit………what an insult. great win for Atha Cliath and Celts of course.

  6. Great laugh at CP today with Izzy’s pen.

Thankfully Dundee players took it in good heart and did not resort to leg breaking tackles at a perceived slight.

Steven McLean may well be a cheat but he has competency issues too- Wee Izzy cleaned ou Greg Stewart right in front of me- a more blatant thru the back foul you will never see, yet he waved play on.

Next big task will be maintaining standards in front of a low crowd next Wednesday against Raith Rovers.

League odds remain 1/6 for Celtic and 5/1 Aberdeen

  7. SANDMAN

Last 50p in my account silly bet on Izzy hat-trick at 500/1…

Downgraded to ‘like a lot’. :))

    ===================================

You should be paid out for even thinking of that bet. Nae Luck!

  8. An unusual day in Paradise, not the regular routine and clammy? yet autumnal, and rushing up the stairs, when you’ve already missed the huddle, and the first four minutes is not recommended at 49 plus, because clipping the very last stair with your size 8 1/2 hush puppy is ever so easy, as I’ll now attest?

The steward(s) well known CP useless helmets, at the best of times took up default position but ‘suppressed himself ‘on this occasion, catching me, full in his personal ball sack region, without letting out a whimper, never mind a worthy scream as he took the full force of my not insubstantially sized fully gelled up heid, in his nether region.

Well done that man, I thanked him for his spheroids, as if he hadn’t had them, I could have been the second possibly the first, old stone cold sober Celtic fan ever to have transcended upper to lower, from Block 404. But, I wouldn’t have made it to the Royal, let alone survived.

Anyway when my red face subsided closer to half time, after the worst start ever in taking ‘a trip’ to the dear old Paradise things could only get better.

Seasonal change is defo here though, ( did I say it was Clammy?) and as the leaves begin to fall, ever so touchingly onto the Glaswegian lawn, we’ll soon be scurrying home through dark and delightful Dalmarnock, without needing to dodge Davis Cup tennis types, with red, white, and blue wigs, and it’ll be back to just the native ‘orangies’

Celtic lined up Gordon; Janko, Boyata, God Bless Ambrose, Izaguirre; Brown, Bitton; Commons, Rogic, Forrest; Griffiths.

Disappointed not to see Celtic’s fifth most expensive signing Jozo Simunovic in the line up – any news? not surprised, that the excruciatingly limited Mikael Lustig couldn’t string together some more successive minutes, with another no show

Do we have a kind of EL player? and a kind of SPL team? anyway with favourite road runner Stefan Johansen, absent from the squad, due to a thigh strain, Tom Rogic was in again in the side, which was light years ahead of Dundee FC, at least on paper, as you would expect.

It was two zero in a giffy, thanks to Griff and Skippy indeed as someone posted earlier on the blog normal service at CP was resumed by 3.00 pm- ish and by half time it could seriously, have been six or seven. Paul Hartley’s side at least managed to get back some possession towards half time to reduce the percentage stats, if nothing else, which must have been heading to 90% Celtic?

Saidy Janko will do nicely for me in the SPL thank you very much, and the refreshing Tom Rogic was again the man who could, just could, become a Celtic player. With the half- time windfall safely claimed by someone else, as usual, the second half was still a comfortable thought.

Emilio Izzaguire had some afternoon, towards his ‘new contract’ scoring with his left foot was amazing enough, without also scoring with his right, but the wee man contrived to pass up, the hat trick headlines, and he ballooned over from the penalty spot despite having grabbed the ball to do a now forever unimaginable

    treble.

Penalty misses often quiet the game, and so it proved for a while and as the Celtic supporters began to think about the last of their Sunday, they began filing away, long before Skoosh made it 5-0 from 12 yards, then Nadir Ciftci got some of the internet sausages, at least temporarily off his back, with a neatly taken goal for 6-0.

Dundee of course were several levels below Aye Axe , whom Celtic in all Scotland, never received any credit of running so close to defeat in Amsterdam, but we’ll just go onwards quietly to face Raith and Hearts in Paradise, and some of the Celtic internet experts, will profess their undying love, whilst not really knowing whether, to or laugh or cry.

    Clammy though csc

    M.O.M Emilio Izzaguire

  9. Enjoying Efe’s performance, no messing everything done simply. Potentially dangerous balls in to touch nae messing.

  10. Andrew Kerins Green and White Army on 20th September 2015 5:58 pm

Jackeens throwing all sorts of money in there to make sure of victory

I’m just sore cause of the absolute hiding we got in the minors

    Good luck to ye :-)

  11. Delaneys Dunky on 20th September 2015 5:49 pm

    TT

This guy lives in Bellsmyre and is as much a Dubliner as the Liffey.

*Bellsmyre is the new Brucehill. I remember big Harry originally fae Bonhill/Renton chanting “I am the God of Bellsmyre, and I give you Myre”.

A few year back some interloper tried tae have a tangerine parade up there, that is until the young Myre Tims stopped it.

  12. What is the Stars on

    Gearoid

    Ah yes the butterfly theory

If a butterfly flapped it’s wings in the forest….could it lead to murder and mayhem on the streets of Belfast

    Hankray

I never referred to you as a west brit, I simply pointed out that there are far more West brits in Belfast than in Dublin. …but sure you knew that

  13. Tricoloured Ribbon on

    Good evening folks.

It’s been a very trying last few weeks for all our family and I’m just glad to be back on my feet after my ordeal.A million thanks to you great people for all your prayers and best wishes.

    May God bless you all.

  14. hankray on 20th September 2015 6:31 pm

Some of the money being spent on hotels and food – meal being delivered – physios etc by the dubs far exceeds Kerry

  15. Told yeas it was going to be a good night.

Good to see to back TCR and glad to see you well on the mend.

    Hail hail

  16. What is the Stars on

    Charles kickham

What do you think of splitting the Dublin GAA into 2 or possibly 4 regions.

    That might even it up

But could imagine the angst If it was Dublin North-V Dublin South in the final. …year after year

  17. Just in. Take it CQN is in meltdown………………………

Thought Bitton, Rogic and Commons ran Dundee ragged. Great entertaining football.

Thank you, Ronnie and the Bhoys. Enjoyed that match.

  18. TCR … good to hear things are on the up.

At the start of the season, I thought Avocaat would be the first manager to go this season, but I think Brendan Rogers might just beat him to it. Kloop for the kop, perhaps?

  19. Am disgusted…..1st time I had a dream ’bout result (5-0)…..thank god I don’t bet…..;-))

    Great result, great team performance

    H.H.

  20. Charles Kickham………………..there is a big push in Atha Cliath to get kids playing GAA which can only be good for the youth of the city, You should read about Philly McMahons background who credits joining Ballymun Kickhams for putting on the right path through life.

  21. TBJ says Wee Oscar Knox is in heaven with the angels on

I know we tried to get the young Dundee keeper this year – i was very impressed with him and reckon we should ensure he moves to celtic in the future

  22. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    TRICOLOUREDRIBBON

    Ah,yer back,bud?!

Smashing. Look after yourself and get well, mate.

  23. What is the Stars on 20th September 2015 6:39 pm

Brilliant – I’ve heard that suggested before – will never happen – in my opinion for a whole range of reasons

  24. What is the Stars on

    Charles kickham

    Can’t see it myself

As hankray has pointed out, Dublin winning is good for the GAA,

A breakthrough for the Dublin hurlers would be great for the game
