Not trying to pick a fight….at all; but have you read the other posts on here tonight? We are all pissed off about “performances” over the last few months. Not nearly good enough. There appears to be a problem. We are, most of us, making that point. Clearly.

I picked Celtic in this weekend’s LMS …. they better bloody win …. or I’ll be calling big Judith… and she’ll come round and sort the lot of them out!
But Farenheight or Centigrade it was way below zero
And so were Celtic.
Sometimes players go into their comfort zone. The manager asks them to be brave but they don’t want to be the one where the move breaks down because they attempt a dart or a dribble or a slip pass. So they check out of the attack and recycle it back via Broony as point man and we go again.
Celtic were by far the better team tonight. We had twice as much possession, 26 shots to their 1, 7 on target to their one and 11 corners to their 2. And yet, we came close to losing the game.
Radio Shortbread stats suggest we have been scoreles in 5 of the past 11 league games. We have no consistent top scorer. Schalk of Ross County has scored more than our top league scorer- Sinky. Yet we are 10 points clear with 5 games left and long odds on for 7iar and odds on for a 2nd treble, though that will be harder to win.
Anybody who braved the cold has the right to criticise tonight’s performance but there has been a touch of exaggeration (from disappointment?) in what I am reading. We were not that dreadful and we were not that good. We were fine in the middle two thirds, a bit jittery in defence where Jack Hendry had a Jeckyl & Hyde game, and we were panicky up front, hurrying our shots and being careless with shooting from outside the box.
Here’s the bad news- We play Hamilton on Sunday on a pitch where I have never seen good football played. Whether we improve our performance or not, we need to take care of the result earlier in matches by scoring and making teams come out of their shells. Dundee played better against Hearts at the weekend than they did tonight but they did not lack effort or organisation. They played an offside trap and all our speedy forwards should have fancied their chances in a foot race with their back 3- they did not need to stray offside seeking a half yard advantage like they did.
I hope Brendan is going to dangle the carrot of semi-final and, hopefullym, final places as being at stake dependant on form. All our players should be straining at the leash to be part of the team that gets a successive treble. Tonight they were straining to produce something other than class.
Let’s get the league wrapped up and enjoy the season as a whole when nights like this will fade into a long list of forgettable games over the years.
Ronny had more points after 32 games than we have this season.

The team have received great praise rightly so with results against Sevco and Aberdeen so when we have the fourth goalless result of the season you can understand the frustration of the fans.Thousands of empty seats at the last two league games surely tell a story. This looks like a team that just has to get over the line in the league and then reassess the personnel. Sinclair and Dembele are a shadow of the players they were last season. The Compper signing is quite baffling and Boyata being subbed at half time against Ross County and then playing the whole game against Dundee I find strange Ajer at the moment is the best centre half at the club and should be first pick every game.I don`t want to watch another Champions league season losing by fives and sevens.Champions league money is useless unless it`s invested in the team.

Maybe Brendan, knowing that we have the league as good as won, is trying out a few new things, and taking risks because we have played ourselves into a position that we can do that?
Maybe after imperiously blowing everybody else away in Scotland last season, he is now trying out ways to stop us coming up short against the CL big boys and getting done by five and seven?
I don’t care about winning the league early, as long as we win it in the end.
And I couldn’t give a flying one about a few less-than-stellar performances on the way if it means the manager has the latitude to experiment, to make us better and take us higher.
