  1. I don’t really know the problem with browny, my motm today (albeit on a dodgy stream) and he’s played in most of the 11 in a row wins

As the lads on channel 67 said, just his prrsence seems to lift the team, even if he isn’t playing great himself

  2. Neganon – Jeez, I actually thought that gent was reasonably objective when I occassionally read his articles.

As our esteemed host once wrote: whatever part of Rangers we are dependent on, I can live without (or words to that effect!!!)

    over compensated !!!!!

from a guy who believes in the free market and all its self-proclaimed masters !!!!!

what about judging the guy on his football ability

today celtic won their 11th game in a row

broonie was one of our better players

Scott Brown out wide right today was lamentable & his crossing & use of the ball was wasteful, IMO had he not been captain he’d been off!

  8. Here we go again the Broonie haters out in force.

In case you folk did’nt notice today he had to cover the whole right side of the park because Matthews was forced to stay back.

Broonie is not a right-winger but a very good old fashioned inside-right, the reason he had to hold up play is because he does not have the pace of a winger.

I will repeat Kitalbas question, HOW MANY POINTS HAVE WE DROPPED SINCE HE CAME BACK ?

    KTF and HAIL BROONIE

  9. My match ratings (on the dodgy stream )

Forster 7 Good save from Daly, looking at the replay he could do nothing for the goal, massive swerve, like Naka’s vs huns, just not as high!

Matthews 5 Poor today, but I’ll let him off

Rogne 7 Handled Daly very well

Mulgrew 7 Another composed performance from Charlie

Izzy 6 Good to see him back, looked tired after the hour mark

Brown 8 My MOTM, good driving runs and breaking up play

Wanyama 8 Another solid CM performance, missed his goal due to lagging but apparantly was good!

Ledley 6 Sorry to say, anonymous

Samaras 7 Very good first half, when put up front lost it a bit

Hooper 7 Good goal and some nice through balls

Stokes 6 Poor other than the pass for the goal

    Subs

    Ki 2 Shocking

Commons 5 On for ten minutes, did well

  12. Well l for one like Scot Brown, every Scotland manager and every Celtic manager has him in the team when he is fit.

So the lad must have something.

I like him, he brings energy and attitude and l feel he is a better player than people give him credit for.

who did mcglone pay for ?

he knows the game ? who did he manage ?

i know guys who have been to celtic park for decades who know diddly squat about football

as far as mcglones comment goes – hes in that bracket

  14. Joe Filippis Haircut on

The one thing you can expect from a young player or a young team is inconsistency and we saw that today a very good first half but a poorer second half. The one player I expect more from is Ki but the majority of the time I feel he has not done himself justice he has all the skill in the world but often hides it.I am happy with the 3 points and its on to our next one still top of the league.H.H.

Some folk on here see Broonie oan the pitch, awe bulgin’ ‘een and snotters, and get a wee surge o’ recognition…

    And that’s a FACT !

  16. Untypically average games from Adam and Joe today, Broonie, Victor were excellent. TR and Chico never really troubled.

Still a young team, still flatter to deceive at times – that first-half period of Celtic possession when DU were unable to get near us.

Could have been streets in front, but hey it’s a learning curve, and Lenny’s Lions continue to excel, overall.

Good to see Kris Commons back and with the bit between his teeth again.

Spot on bhoys . That game like others this season should have been killed off , not cashing in on our superiority also hands the mibs the chance to do us . A quality striker is a must have in my opinion , but not holding my breath waiting for such a buy .

  22. Can no longer pick up commentary from radio Scotland on medium wave for months now due to interference. Caught the report of Celts early goals on Sky Sports and thought we were coasting it. Quite a shock when I saw the final result hanging onto a goal lead into added time. Tight but nice to finish with full points.

  23. Stringer Bell, hello mate, don’t think we have corresponded previously.

I take your point about Tom English but regardless of his allegiances / fairness / prejudices his comments tonight are part of the media campaign to save our opposites. “They will never go bust, bad for the game, bad for Celtic, don’t be so silly etc etc”

No reference to the actual facts / rules / sporting integrity.

These are the reasons why CQN’rs get the rage with commentators /jurassic journos.

  24. Stringer Bell – I have NEVER heard Tom English say ANYTHING decent about Celtic.

was responding to kojo who stated that mcglone knew the game really well

imo kojo was putting him up there

of course you dont have to have played at the highest level to know the game well

but if you have, then the probability would be higher

and btw, i dont profess to know the game really well

but dont think there is any cause for broonie to take stick this season at all – never mind today

  27. Did anyone keep a copy of the exact quote from Paul67 along the lines

The part of Celtic dependant on Rangers I can do without?

Please post it if you have.

  29. Another good win bhoys but I still think we need a big strong centre forward and centre half to keep the bhoys on their toes.

I was listening to Clyde news there and fat sallys comments at times is laughable when he gets interviewed.

He says the pitch wasn’t great and you couldn’t play football don’t laugh there but he says the pitch was flat that’s the most important thing WTF is he talking aboot.

  30. Anyone see the wee incident in the ragers end mid first half? Looked like the stewards being heavy handed.

  31. spikeysauldman on

so kojo and the singing tcheuctar now want to liken broonie to plug

in their attempts to explain why some might like him

kojo – would be happy to see broonies stats today

then also compare them with his team-mates

but you and the singer wont find them in cosmo

  32. TJ / neganon

Over more than a decade of reading and listening to tom English I believe to NE a fair commentator who has no axe to grind. he has a softer spot for Celtic than many others.mhe has written many positives about Celtic and was one of the few to go against he Huns in their pomp.

Would love to continue this, but need to go. Maybe later we can continue?
