I am happy for the Celtic players and Lenny today. I knew they would win. 6 goals and a saved penalty not bad. They have to be good. The football they played on Tuesday was scintillating. The refs of the world are nobbled however.

The World Cup, Uefa competitions and the Scottish fitba.

Now nobbled custodians of our beloved club is too much to take.

    NobbledCSC

    Leftclicktic: Understood. Thanks.

I’ll reserve judgement until PL Makes an official statement

  3. interesting response from the crowd to the ‘penalty’ – ‘h*^ wiya whistle, you’re just a h*^ wiya whistle’

I was in 114 front row, never got so upset by a decision

    gutted the GB weren’t there/most weren’t there

    FFM,

we’re still waiting for Lenny to become the go between, remember that one.

Lenny said he would act as go between, then nothing, was he stopped, I think he was.

I’m out here in the gulf because I’m an industrial gypsy theres no enough work at home.

I honestly believe the CL money has allowed the board to step up their strategy of sanitisation.

It was the board who refused to defend the reputation of the club for trumped up sectarian song charges two years ago, for me that was a sign of their intent.

You will get no joy from the board I wrote to PL 2008 as a supporter and a shareholder with my concerns about the treatment of home fans when they roll up sing what they want and wreck the place, He PL sent me a copy of stadium regulations, typical corporate garbage which misses the perpetrators as “there are too many of them”

    Good post imo.

But to add to it, we need to be fighting for civil rights more than ever.

I read back on last night quickly – I think it was Gordon64 who made an excellent reference to the workers of the start of the 19th Century.

To be blunt they had balls 100 times those of most of us from the mid to younger generations.

  7. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Are you happy at the treatment we the Celtic support receive from the club ?

    I’m far from happy.

At the one of the recent SPL midweek games one of Strathclyde’s finest decided he wanted to search me before I could go through the turnstile. I was asked do you have any objections and replied “yes, do you have a legal right to do that” ?

I was told yes because “Your club” include this in the conditions of sale, “so you are not getting in”. The dislike on his face was obvious, it’s one you’ll be familiar with, as a Tim in this country.

Let me explain, I’m approaching 50 and had my 13 year old boy with me. Without sounding pretentious, I don’t think I fit the profile for troublemaker or someone trying to sneak drink into Celtic park. The experience was frustrating, humiliating and mildly intimidating. I paid Celtic £700 for those experiences.

But my main point is Celtic are giving our enemies carte-blanche with aspects of our safety and leave you in an invidious position, open to the influence of our enemies.

My example could have lead to me getting arrested. This police officer was loving his wee bit of power and ordered me back to the end of the queue. Thing is, there wasn’t a queue and this wee cop was raging as his mind scrabbled for options. In short if I’d been 20 and without the boy a trumped up charge would have been a real prospect. charge.

As for the treatment of the Green Brigade you can only guess at the hostility and animosity these lads face. We’ve read some real horror stories: Celtic giving GB member’s details to the police; dawn arrests; workplace arrests.

I truly despair at Celtic FC’s board.

The accountability extends beyond the shareholders. I do think there is more at stake also.

PL pulled the Magners deal out of the hat when we wanted a point of difference to that lot. Maybe he has a plan along the lines of a standing section etc..

Whatever it is, he needs to be upfront t about it before ST sales become an issue again.

Sanitisation can be the only arugment I can see that fits in – but still can’t for the life of me see why they would pursue it? From what I’ve seen, the GB have agreed to their requests & demands.

Is it possible there are exterior forces putting pressure on them that they can’t fight against? Do Minty and his pals still have influence on the land and development crew which made him a rather large fortune?

5 times I have tried to post a link to a calculator for Iraqi Dinars convertor to you from COINMILL.com

It wont show on blog finally got duplicate comment detected but nothing nada zilch,.

It worked out at 645.28 euros :))

  13. The club is bigger than any individual or group.

…but who was it that said – “Football without the fans is nothing.”

Managers, coaches, players and directors come and go.

…but a father passes his love for the club to his sons – and daughters – and they in turn pass it on to their children. They are all proud to be part of the club and its ethos.

They have seen the club grow and prosper – from humble beginnings – into an internationally renowned and respected institution.

The man who coined the phrase above understood how important – and vital – the fans were.

The present CFC board seem to have forgotten.

    HH!!

  14. Maybe Neil has realised being some sort of go between is a bad idea, a no goer so to speak.

He is in charge of the playing squad and nothing but nothing interferes with this work.

If the GB/support want someone to get involved with Board discussions then fine- so long as its not Neil or any of the coaching staff or players.

  15. After reading BCW’s post there….are the CST involved in defending these supporters being dragged into court?

There are folk out there know what is going on.

Question we all want to know is, does it start and stop at the feet of Salmond and his newly appointed praetorian guard?? Or is there more to it?

    KK

Why don’t you find a way to have a go at Kojo on a regular basis and leave the rest of us out of it? I for one am heartfelt sick of logging in to yet again note your boring drivel.

I get it. You don’t like the blogger. So what. Leave the rest of us in peace.

    EDB,

If you are prepared to accept the inhuman things that Kojo has repeatedly said on this blog, then that is your prerogative.

Speaking only for myself, I will NEVER leave unchallenged the type of Fascist inhumanity that this odious poster inflicts on CQN.

If my condemnation of such utterances bores or upsets you then scroll on by, or even better still you might want to defend them.

You will NOT however tell me what I have to accept or what I will ALWAYS confront.

    Good luck.

  18. KK

I am asking you to stop carrying on this attack on Kojo through CQN.

I reckon CQN doesn’t need it.

    IMHO.

  19. El Diego Bhoy,

The offensive things that Kojo says,.. he says on CQN.

Where exactly would you suggest that I should challenge them ?

Where do YOU challenge them, …or do they not offend YOU ?

    I am not being smart-assed.

Are YOU content with his repeatedly inhuman utterances ?

Do THEY have any place on a Celtic site ?

  20. Shieldmuir Celtic on

I like Anthony Stokes and I think he can bring something to the team particularly with his partnership with Hooper. But he must stop moaning at his colleagues who are trying as hard as he is. This only upsets the spirit of the team.
