    Not a dominant first half, we look nervous. Stokes our best player so far, Virgil & Nir doing well. We need a 2nd goal. Still nervous but happy to be 1 up.

    Johansen our main man so far. Very poor defending by Izzy gave Dundee Utd a few chances to attack. Stokes did well for the goal. KC was awful, then he scored. Another goal should finish it.

    Re: DU penalty claim… If that had been against us and we hadn’t got it, I’d have been asking questions of the refereeing.

    Deserve our lead though we look a bit nervy at times. SB not playing his usual type of game, under instructions I think. I expect him to open up as the game goes on.

    HT Celtic 1-0 Dundee Utd

     

     

    Decent first half. Cup Finals are tense affairs and it often takes time to settle down. We have looked by far the most likely team to score and I can see us getting at least another couple second half.

     

     

    The pitch, although a huge improvement on what we played on last week, is very bumpy. Efe in particular has struggled to get the ball under control. Defensively we have been pretty solid. We haven’t seen the best from either Izzy or Efe but they have been good enough. Broonie having a good game and Biton strolling. Would like to see him press forward a bit more. Anton playing very well out wide left. Commons doing his thing around the edge of the box. Took his goal very well. Griff needs to do more.

     

     

    Looking forward to second half. Time to turn on the style

    As I said, Commons is nearly always brilliant at Hampton, and even though he had a bad first quarter, he looked one of the few to be confident on the ball.

     

     

    Stokes, though, has had a sensational first half – surprised at how well he’s done.

     

     

    Izzy still a weakness – he over committed which led to their non-penalty when Brown clashed with Dow.

     

     

    Griffiths still not my preference up front. Put Guidetti on.
