Let’s put the ‘penalty’ discussion to bed. We’ve been told for years these things even themselves out over the season. Last week Dundee Utd. got a penalty that wasn’t a penalty. Today they didn’t get a penalty that might have been a penalty.
Sorted!

I was meant to be going to the Parkville/Priory for the game today, but my big mate fae the Tyre was still done in from CQN11 and he sort of called off at 1pm (think Mother’s Day and being out till 2am on Friday didn’t help)
Larrybhoy on
It wasn’t a penalty because…. there was no penalty awarded by the officials… in real time, with the view they had, with the sun in their eyes, and yeah there may have been contact but was it enough to go down, and he wasn’t going to do anything with the ball anyway, and so on, and so on……
How many stonewallers have we had to suffer only to be given the same variation on the above by commentators, pundits, opposition fans, etc over the years…. far too many obviously !
I always find cup finals emotional especially when we win. I’ve shared some of my daft wee stories centred around finals on here as I love the whole experience of them.
I think of you all; Celts worldwide in bars, green and white bededecked rooms around the globe. I think of close friends and family and how happy they will be. I know my da will be watching from above and the many Celts who have passed but gave us so much…Thank you.
Winning leagues and cups is fantastic and it is the joy it brings so many that lived with me.
Well done Ronny and The Bhoys you have made so many people happy and a little emotional.

Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on
Very happy with today’s result.
Good win and a clean sheet to boot (ala McGowan and Paton).
Our support were great today and I’m particularly delighted so many of us joined in the the applause at three minutes for the late Frank Kopel. My own mum and thousands of others’ parents are afflicted with this awful condition, every bit of support is welcome.
For those of us who thonk Nir is too laid back, look at his reaction after Dillon’s tackle on Izzy.
I know Ryan McGowan is from a Celtic supporting family but his behaviour on the pitch could be better. I think he was a Pointer dug in a previous life going by the amount of pointing he does in the direction of officials and opposing players. Anytime a decision went against United, he was always pointing.
You would think after some of the decisions that have gone in United’s favour against us this season they would not be making comments about us getting the big decisions.
Delighted for Ronnie after all the grief he got at the start of the season.
Let’s hope we build on this and strengthen the team before the European Qualifiers for next season.I
