    I would be delighted to buy you a drink, think I was getting my Clydebank men mixed up on Friday, I did remember you had a family doo for maybe your daughter but Jamesgang put his arm around my neck and said how are you doing wee man, I nearly fainted, by the way he was a total gent but I did get a fright, thankfully we were in CeltIc Park or my first reaction would have been to stick the head on his chest (couldn’t reach his head) and run…..

    Delighted with todays win,not for me the debate on penalties,if the Ref.did not see fit to award then thats final,just as we have had to accept many decisions over the years.

     

     

    I did not think JF’s contributions merited the mantle of petulant super striker for the penalty,that was all about self interest and not the team.

     

     

    Pleased he scored in the game but the Pen.he should have left to Johansen.

    Life is great at the minute but the Hun is coming if the SFA or whatever ye call them have owt to do with it & they’ll do whatever it takes to get them in the SPL.

     

    If they finish 5th in the Championship they’ll make it the 1st 6 go up to take it back tae the 60#s 18 league team.

     

    If they’re in the top 4 they’ll say all 4 go up & no relegations from the SPL.

     

    Beware Tims we can’t let this happen.

    Piano bar in New York New York did you try that ?

     

     

    We went to freemont street ad had 48oz margarota things which we wernt allowed to bring into shops doh so downed them a little too quickly double doh doh so didnt want to try the zip line because I was afraid of redecorating freemont street ……was really sorry I didnt do it so did two rides the next day at the stratosphere……….

     

     

    nine fine Irishmen was a blast but didnt get to the piano bar :-((

    I was at the back of the south stand behind the utd fans. From that vantage point it didn’t look like a pen, but I would have shouted for it if it had been for us.

     

     

    No negativity in the shouts around me, although my neighbour privately told me he didn’t rate Jamesie while I expressed my own reservations about Stokesey although I did think that he and Izzy had been excellent today.

    Oh, was that the peppermill down near the Riviera ? Very very good that is :-)

     

     

    Yes its great and they have a resident photographer you get a small complimentary pic and can purchase a larger one if you want……..

     

     

    staff are great a little out of the way from the strip but their bar (the fireside I think ) appeared in an episode of C.S.I. which is why we originally went the first time I was in vegas and the Hubby wanted to see it their cocktails are lovely…. had to try one would have been rude not to

    The League Cup has given us some of our greatest moments and some of our greatest finals, including the one we lost to Hibs back in the early 70s. It was important for Jimmy McGrory, for Jock Stein in 1965 and especially for us when we put six past the Hibees in 1969 and 1974. Wim won it, Martin won it, Wee Gordon won it, and now Ronny has won it.

    Home & fed (a very tasty Kaiser Chiefs number) – a GOOD win!

     

     

    Not exactly high-octane but always in control and worthy winners. Seen plenty LCFs where we played better and got no joy – been hard going the best part of 60 years in this competition. Difficult part of the ‘treble’ done – concentration in the SC and professional management of the League fixtures should see us home.

     

     

    Penalty: never (was directly in-line among the Irish Bhoys in Bronze section – great view) – everyone agreed Broonie held his position (shoulder to shoulder) and like any good defender saw him off the premises.

     

     

    Surprise! Surprise! I thought the Ref had a good game (or do I need a visit to Specsavers tomorrow)?

     

     

    Our two CBs had a great game – Efe survived the ‘flakey’ bits to put in a good game – nobody outstanding but a sufficient ‘Team performance’ to see us home. Pleased for Ronny – he has maybe bought a lottery ticket and has got the first few numbers up!
