We looked like a decent side today in an entertaIning game. I was surprised how poor United were today, must be relegation candidates. Craig Thompson should also be relegated (I don’t care where to).
Thought Tierney did well today .
Simunovic looked promising.
Johanson looked better in the deeper roll.
Commons needs to play through the middle.
Armstrong appeared to come inside more and looked a better player for it.
Lustig and Izzy for me at fullback, however if Tierney continues in the same way, Izzy may become the backup.

Only first impressions , and against poor opposition , but the new centre back Simunovic was impressive and comfortable on the ball. Let’s hope he stays fit.
He was also given an early taste of MIB gratitude by receiving a yellow card for an innocuous clash of heads.

Gordon. Did nothing. (Arabs Quick News can’t make for good reading tonight. They were very poor)
Efe. One bombscare moment. Came to nothing this time and decent enough apart from that.
Jozo. Strong, fast, seeming organiser. Some shot on him. A Talking to for the merest bump. Booking for a simple foul. Welcome to Celtic!
Boyatta. Fine enough against not very anything from Utd.
Tierney. If anyone on here knows this kid’s family they should be proud as punch tonight. I love Izzie to bits but this kid defends better, moves forward as well and has a far better final ball into the box.
Johannsen. Decent game.
Commons. Good game, lovely 2nd goal.
Gms. Much more like his original celtic self
Armstrong – ditto
Broonie. Good.
Griffiths – set the tone with his chase in for the first goal.
Subs all looked tidy enough.
Felt it became a good game. Another reminder of how frustrating it can be to play against a team with all 11 behind the ball.

Re Jozo’s booking. Said to my mate at the time when that clown Thompson had a word with him for absolutely no reason, he’ll book him for his next foul challenge. He in my opinion is the worst of all the mibs and that takes some doing.
