The only way something will happen or hilight it more as proved now with uefa’ action against them with the racism and bottle throwing etc etc down the river is if Calmac and the team walk off the field of play when it happens.

Yes, Brendan Rodgers said after the match he needed cover for KT.
Liam’s display and Inamura’s inexperience probably made him take that view.
Micheal Frame is with the B team but with KT not up to ninety minutes and “injury” issues, quality is required.
Greg Taylor has ironically been on the bench for POAK, pity we couldn’t talk him into staying.

I thought the starting 11 were a clear message to the board last night. Brendan changed every position where he believes he has a replacement that he can trust or work with. No changes to the wide positions and of course Callum. Pretty obvious where he would want to strengthen.

We can put out a half decent team against the Kazaks midweek, cannot see any additional player being involved. Not a given by any means, they have done well to get there, but would rather play them than FC Bruges or even Partisan Belgrade. Maeda (loved hearing the goal celebration song live last night) is our best forward/goal scorer so Brendan may well have to augment him with a combo of Forrest, Nygren, Yang and Idah at various points in the game. Not quite back to Fortress Parkhead but we are gettng somewhere close to it so hopefully that wll hold us in good stead.

The issue with Scales at LB is that he is slow , turns very slowly and can get stuck with the ball at his feet, at a push I would try Trusty there in the absence of someone who can play the position as back up to KT, I liked what i’ve seen of Inamura maybe he will be loaned out.

Great crowd – 42,000 for a Friday night, PPV game. AJ and Engels were excellent. Six changes as expected, with the qualifiers looming.
Interesting line up you have there , – I think Liam Scales will start ahead of Trusty with Inamura not named for the CL ,this is the left back plan. Tierney building his game time, has been an improvement for the left side.
He and Engels crossing showed up the lack of aerial threat, we’ve needed a striker since January so badly, it could turned into a song. Reckon Johnny Kenny will be sold or loaned , and Yamada looks very much a squad player option
One concern is Paulo Bernardo and his lack of game time, Luke McCowan is far ahead of him and the Portuguese could be a surprise exit? – back to Europe. I don’t think Tilio is named either, so he’ll go to Rapid as scheduled as soon as we get the new winger, whenever that is. Forrest is so much better than Yang, but that’s another story, Engels and Nygren both starting was forecast earlier, but maybe down the road a bit yet, there’s enough fire in Jamesie to smite The Kazakh’s one more time.
Schmeichel AJ CCV Scales Kieran
Nygren Calmac Hatate

Yeah, seemed like a great atmosphere there, Luke is a good player who is loving his time at Celtic and getting better – Paulo looks a bit like a lost soul, which is a surprise.

Kairat playing this afternoon and also next Sunday, which I was surprised by. Great to see Dane Murray sign a new contract and score. Still much improvement needed by him. A few slack passes last night but I hope he turns into a number one pick. I thought Bernardo did well for the short time he was on. Maybe splitting hairs a bit here, but while I agree theyprobably haven’t halved in value, we will probably lose money on two of them as we paid what I would consider to be far more than they are worth.
Bit like bidding for a house and offering over the home report value I suppose.
You know it isn’t worth what you are going to pay, but you want to have it anyway. If you sell it in the short term, you will lose money.
I think this is the position in which we find ourselves with two of the three.
