  1. Well done John MyGlynn and co; as much as I didnt enjoy the fright they gave us, I think it’s the best kind of fright so we don’t get too cocky after the Slovan result.

Also, Big Maik looked more assured in his posi in 9 mins that Stephen; it’s simply true.

    MoTM Paolo Bernardo.

    Nite night fholks; 2am here.

Nicolas Kuhn – greatest sub performance I can remember. Immense. Could’ve beaten Falkirk singled handed. Star.

Palma – has great skill but a rotten attitude. Sell in January,

  3. As I had the torture of listening to commentary on Celtic tv …how did Trussy play …I don’t recall hearing his name once in the commentary?

  4. Falkirk’s performance adds weight to my argument that we should increase the size of the top division.

Better to play the Bairns twice a season than the likes of Ross County four times

Would also give more players more gametime at a slightly higher level good for development, more clubs to send players on loan etc

  5. Fair play to John mcglynn , not just a good football man a right good guy . Brendan will maybe have a clue of some pool players who may not cut it .

  6. I can’t remember such a complete change being made by substitutes, it was like someone had found the light switch and changed it to ON. I’ve seen good subs turning things round or shoring things up never practically reinventing the game.

  7. Adam Idah’s first goal almost identical to his disallowed version against Hearts for what would have been 3-0

  8. CTV didn’t go offline today, suppose that’s a bonus but what a poor product overall. 5-2, aye cheerio well…. no draw, no post match, dreadful.

  9. Aberdeen? Not at all surprised.

On the other hand, we play Dundee at Home on the Wednesday before the weekend Cup games while the Huns play Aberdeen Away. Hmm..

  10. Great squad rotation allied with a strong bench.

The way to go for tje domestic cups.

  11. Well we will get the Saturday spot in the League Cup semi-finals due to us playing RB Leipzig on Tuesday November 5th. Playing Aberdeen on November 2nd displaces our home SPL game against Dundee Utd so I guess that will be a Wednesday night match somewhere down the way. Still be at home though

  12. Greenpinata – Correct, especially when you consider the quality of the players rested that were not even on the bench (Maeda, AJ, CCV, Scales).

  13. Well done Celtic we got there in the end.

Credit to Falkirk who battled away.

I felt a wee bit sorry for new Bhoy ALEX VALLE. As the Pundit Michael Stewart said ” even Greg Taylor would have had trouble with the Falkirk winger”. Hopefully ALEX will come good in time ?

LUIS PALMA was rather inept …yet again. I dont think he will feature much in the games coming up, unless his attitude is improved ?

Bring on the Dons in the Semi Final.

  14. Putting things into perspective. In September, four games across three competitions with four wins, fifteen scored, three conceded. Six league points, three Champions League points and into League Cup semis.

A wee bit of ‘tap-dancing’ for an hour today but Kũhn and his partner Idah swung the match strictly in our favour in the nick of time.

  15. BIG JIMMY

Valle was poor but I won’t write him off after one game. He’ll do a job as left-back cover till Tierney comes back.

  16. A victory for the January transfer window?

The only negative was the problems down the left side of defence until Greg came to the rescue. Vale looks like an improvement on Bernabei but he’s obviously learning the game and you would be worried he’d be targeted by any team we play. We don’t have the time for him to develop physically and he’ll likely but get the minutes to learn about the positioning that’s so important in Brendan’s Celtic. Maybe I’m wrong though.

It’s unfair to judge Trusty on today’s performance, although he didn’t look like he’d be forcing his way into the team ahead of scales yet, it was a tricky game to come in with a youngster spending so much time leaving the left back space empty.

Otherwise I thought we looked fine, the midfield three could be excused a bit of an off day after Wednesday night, the quality off the bench was obvious, and we managed a decent rest for key players.

Good evening all from the Brazen Head. It’s a hard life being a Celtic man and enjoying meself so much. Never let the good times pass you by. You can never have enough good times.

  18. Post Match:

Rodgers insists the blame for his team’s lacklustre start lies with him. Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland, he said: “The game was close.

“If there’s any blame on the performance for the first hour or so, it’s on me, not the players. I make eight changes and of course there’s going to be a little bit of disconnection.

“But we bring on the guys that have been playing, and straight away in the final 30 minutes, the fluidity is at a really high level, so we can create and score goals. We ended up finishing the game really well.”
