I thought our right sided defence was better at the fundamentals than the new left side.
Didn’t see much from Valle or Trusty that challenged their incumbents, although that’s not surprising for a first game together.
I agree with another poster that Nawrocki looked more composed and accomplished for his short cameo.

Very exciting cup tie. Possibly more than I’d have liked!
Our starting defence, which had never played together, played as though they’d never played together.

I know it’s early days for the boy, but for a moment I thought they had brought Bernabei back at LB. To make so many changes in defence took a chance. I don’t think it did the fringe players any favours. Kudos to Falkirk for not parking the bus, let’s face it for an hour they competed brilliantly with us.
Apart my Celtic bets Today which were beaten, I ALSO backed TWO SINGLES and a DOUBLE on the Correct Scores of ….
Brighton v Notts Forest was a draw at 2 – 2,,,at the Bookie Odds with of 16/1…. AND Man City v Arsenal which also ended in a 2- 2 DRAW at Bookie Odds of 18/1.

Couldn’t watch the game live today but managed to avoid the score and have just finished watching a replay.
My ignorant thoughts:
1. Really surprised BR made so many changes.
2. I get the fear any time Welsh pulls on a Celtic jersey.
3. Early days, but Valle looks like Bernabei Mark2. Really pleased we didn’t shell out millions on him.
4. Put Show Pony Palma in front of him and you’re asking for trouble.
5. Another poor showing from Hatate.
6. Welsh ahead of Nawrocki and Palma subbed for Yang pretty much captures how disastrous last summer’s transfer window was.
7. Any stupid notion that we can have a team for Europe and a difference team for domestic games has been well and truly knocked on the head.
Trusty (signing made little sense) and Valle did not look good at all. Not sure if Palma made Valle look worse or the other way around.
We miss what Taylor brings to the central midfield when he doesn’t play.
Kuhn is a stick on for player of the year for me.

I felt Valle was left exposed as he had little or no protection from the wide player in front of him.
Normally. Greg has a great deal of support from Daizen. That wasn’t available today.
Hopefully Trusty was just a bit rusty, but on today’s showing he has a way to go to be an upgrade on Scales, Rocky or even Laagerbielke.

Dugs in the street.
If there were still, they’d have barked that Brendan Rodgers was making too many changes for the Cup Tie, though our favourite line ups might not have thumped Falkirk 5-2 like what BR’s did.
Cracking cup tie ensued as Falkirk turned up with a high press to rival the Celtic B side, that had Champions League anti climax written all over it. It looked like we’d picked the wrong week to rest the back four, and the Barca rookie a stark reminder of how good Greg Taylor has become in the inverted left back role. Ralston Trusty and Welsh all struggled in the shock first forty five, against attack minded Falkirk who netted one more than anybody else against this season.
Captain unrestable plodded on, no panic Brendan played his ‘strong squad subs‘ as hinted in the pre match press conference, they quickly turned the tide. Kuhn Engels starred and even fringe player Yang was an upgrade on the disappointing Palma who failed to make an impact. Nicolas Kuhn ran amok Greg Taylor was outstanding and Adam Idah’s second goal was why you pay the big bucks.
A weeks rest and Brendan will round up the usual suspects for Perth, safe and sound, no harm done.
Not trying to be smart after the fact, too many changes never works, Falkirk were very good, I hope McGlynn sticks with then,Hearts and St Johnstone looking for a manager. I wouldn’t be too harsh on the debutants, totally different from training well,to being match fit

Good result from a disjointed performance…as expected. Some magnificent goals. James Madison scored a similar goal to Kuhn yesterday for Spurs, and the commentators were saying world class finishing, Kuhn’s was better:)))) We didn’t give big adam much service the first half. I thought Palma was going to shine today, but sadly, I don’t think he fits in to our way of playig right now. What a pass from Engels for the 4th goal.
Great to watch the Bhoys again, especially after watching Kevin Bridges and Burnistoun on youtube the night before. So am a way up a road as they say.

Falkirk are the latest example of not parking the bus and being handed their arses.
Glorious losers are still losers.
Celtic had 9 years of Glorious losers, leading to endless sacked “Celtic Way” victim managers propelling Aberdeen as Rangers only ‘real’ challengers and the Dons took the Huns to the last day of the season in one of those 9 long and torturous years.
Parking the bus can defeat the greatest Barcelona team, with Neil Lennon as manager, Efe Ambrose and Kelvin Wilson as our centre half duo, and Tony Watt scoring from the long ball break away winning goal.
Parking the bus is not anti football, it is anti stupid football, usually played by teams who never learn lessons, and who play in an illegal football league which usually contains football clubs or even just one club, who is not what they claim to be and the League are carrying out a deceit to conceal this clubs true identity.
Or even worse…
An entire Football Association ie: All member clubs are perfectly aware of the dubious controversies of this certain “fake” member club so the associations member clubs “compliant nodding dog clubs, like Celtic FC” just deny all knowledge about the “fake” club and its iffyness just so long as dimb dumb and glaikit fans keep pouring their money onto the iffy gravy train as morals and principles will not pay any bills until you die….said some stupid old book somewhere over the rainbow.
Taylor and Scales haters maybe learned a lot today.
Pleased Bernardo got winning minutes.
So hard for the others to fit in a scratch line up. Surely easing one or two in would have been better.
Good to see our 2 German rivals struggled today.
Shame about the draw. Taking on rangers 3 days after they visit Aberdeen would have been fun. Still taking Aberdeen on similar should help us.

To be fair there was a bit of a frenzy created about “proven quality” in the lead up to the January window so he was always going to be judged by those standards.
Add the team’s poor run of form around that time which made it seem like we really did need players to make an instant impact so a player in the 60 game sweet spot that Paul67 talks about may not have seemed like the answer.
Good, though, that the old formula and smart scouting appears to have given us the quality we were after all along. He certainly looks like a CL player at the moment.

Unexpected afternoon in many ways , not least a completely new back 4. Clearly the 2 new guys were lacking match practice / sharpness and it showed. Must admit to being concerned at how far off it they were … still a pretty shambolic performance from Palma and too many more like that and he’ll be shown the door.
See Dortmund got battered today , adding to increasing our hope for our upcoming game.
