  1. BACK TO BASICS – GLASS HALF FULL

    Thanks. Cheered me up there

I live hearing about players who could have came to us (Ivan Toney) playing shite for the team he went to

  2. Nothing wrong with that game tonight. Players looked like they were giving their all. Chances came and went – nothing unusual. Very few chances conceded – that is unusual.

Don’t like the Barkas comments from the manager. Keep that internal.

McGregor, Taylor and Motm Soro get my votes. Jobo, where are you…

  3. ART OF WAR

    Ok.

Celtic fans watching their team fall apart in front of their eyes when it’s not necessary have no right to criticise. Let’s all stand back and say nothing

  4. An Tearmann,

A CEO can influence a board for a level playing field. Even DD doesn’t want to be cheated.

Lawwell has been too close to all the bad things related to Celtic and lied on RES12. Next season will be more of the same. They have been given Carter Blanche this season.

  5. Just seen the cheating on the tele and goldson is a sending off as well. Stopped a goal scoring opportunity.

    But what did we expect.

I do like the idea that it’s on national tv and more blatant than ever.

I must admit I do like we McFadden he calls it like he sees it and I heard him on the radio as some hun was saying the JF wasn’t worth £10 million, but only £2 million. We faddy stuck right up for the bhoy and told them all you can teach just about anything , but not pace.

    Hail hail

  6. HAHA, watching Scot Squad.

Chief comissioner Meikleson for some reason made me think of

!! BADA BING!! …i kid you not the chief then mentions Judith Ralston, scary ur wit 😂😂😂😂

    No offence meant bigbyin.

  7. GO TELL THE SPARTIM on 27TH JANUARY 2021 10:54 PM

We’ve had disappointment, then rage, then apathy, what’s it called after that?

    HOPE

  8. glendalystonsils on

Goldson’s shove on the Hibs player as clear a penalty as you’ll see . Clancy will know fine .

  9. I’m taking the james Forrest route and still believe we are coming down.

Give Calmac a rest for the season, this is not because I think he is not playing well. I just want him right for next season and that man has played a hell of a lot of games over the last three/ four seasons.

    Hail hail

  10. I enjoyed the game, it was like an early 60s one, no angst just watching the bhoys. My only complaint is our poor final ball.

As for big Eddy, good goal but obviously just going though the motions unlike wee Jeremy who at least looked as if he was trying.

We should do the Steve Miller here “take the money and run”.

  11. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

    Enjoyed that :-)

Huns / refs – surprised? Naw.

  12. Didn’t think Turnbull had his best game tonight – too slow getting his shots away. Hope its just a blip.

  13. The officials are enabling Morelos.

It’s only a matter of time before he seriously injures someone.

And no one says a word.

    Scoddland. What a country.

  14. I think AT asked for observations on how the pandemic had impacted football and I replied that in my view clubs were reluctant to spend too much.

I had a quick look just now and Frimpong’s transfer is the 8th highest of the window. Haller from West Ham to Ajax for c£20m is the highest, followed by Diablo from Atalanta to Man Utd; a Hungarian chap from RB Salzburg to RB Leipzig; Diatta from Brugge to Monaco; Sanson from Marseille to Villa; Kondogbia (Valencia to At Madrid); and Pedro (Fiorentina to Flamengo).

At the risk of sounding like too much of a Clemente fanboy, Diatta moved to Monaco for £18m. He was signed the January before Clemente arrived for £1.8m from a Norwegian side – a bit of a project that came good!

Also, I noticed that the 9th highest transfer fee was £10m for Maehle of Genk – he was a Clemente signing from Aarhus for £1m.

While at Genk, he signed Malinowski for £1.8m who went to Atalanta last summer for £12.2m and Joseph Aidoo (£1.2m) who went to Celta Vigo for £7.5m.

In summer 2018, he sold our old target Omar Colley to Sampdoria for £7m and in 2019, players he had worked with for a few years brought in big money – Berge to Sheffield Utd (£20m); Samatta to Villa (£10m), Trossard to Brighton (£18m).

This guy is perfect for our buy low sell high model – good eye for a player (though he works in Belgium so may have a Hammond type) and develops them to sell on while winning titles (going for his third in four years now).

  15. Frimpong’s sale was only the second this season to bring in cash – assuming we got £8m of the reported fee, selling him and Eboue (£1.5m) basically covered Barkas and Ajeti transfers.

Turnbull (£2.75m), DUFFY loan (£2m), Laxalt loan (£440k) and Moi (c£800k) means we’ve spent £6m net this year.

So I can’t see us spending any of the Frimpong money and expect a further sale this window (perhaps Christie) to cover the outgoings…

He was asked by reporter on shorti, about incident

Reporter asked did glancy see it?

    Rossd yes

Rep-and those words at end with Kevin Glancy at the end

Ross -he said it was a tangle of legs.

After listening at radio.and seeinf reaction its a joke.

  17. It’s a red card, it’s quite an easy one.”

Jack Ross in no doubt that Rangers’ matchwinner Alfredo Morelos should have been sent off for incident with Ryan Porteous

  18. Spidey101.

Would you see more short term/loans? Not just here.europe wide.may be a day will come season deals as clubs in these times cut cloth accordingly.

I think covid will sear thro our(skys) game.

Worries me a bit lookin forward

Unless other managers call it out without fogging the facts it will always be

That indeed is a big part of the problem!

  20. Just logged on and noted all the comments on the refereeing in the Huns game. By my reckoning , in almost eighty per cent of their games , they are reffed by one of their supporters ! How about that !

I’ve been following the Tims for more than sixty years and can’t remember ever a time when we were fairly refereed…from Wharton , JRP Gordon , Davidson , Foote , Syme , Valentine through to Thompson , Mc Lean , Dallas , et al and the current crop who are just as biased.

By every metric the Huns are on the receiving end of helpful refereeing decisions ,eg penalties awarded , opposition players sent off , missed sending offs of own players ,number of fouls conceded before bookings etc etc. in fact , I would challenge any reader on this site to quote me a year in the last 50 when the Huns were not awarded more penalties than any other team in whatever league they were playing in !

If my memory serves me well , I think one of the years that Kenny D was top scorer in the league ( 1976 or 77 ) sandy Jardine ( their Rt Back ) was runner up ; fast forward to this season and the same old story.

This will never be highlighted by the MSSM so it is up to our custodians to tackle this issue effectively and in a manner that leaves no room for doubt over the justification of their case. Leave them no room to refute our allegations or claim sour grapes etc !

    Hail Hail

  21. AT – loans are definitely the transfer of choice, or at least loans with options to buy. Clubs want folk off wage bills and seem to be reducing squad sizes a little, and will want to be sure that they are buying well when they do spend.

Moussa Dembele to At Madrid is an example – loan to summer and deal agreed for a £30+m transfer in summer of all works out. The impact of COVID is such that teams like Lyon will agree that now, whereas before they’d say no to loaning him out.

For England, I think they’ll largely be ok (at least in the Premier League) given TV money is such a big part of thier income and fans not in grounds means more fans watching on tv. More worried about us and other smaller leagues – no fans in the ground, and a greater number of English games for TV slots (or German, French, Spanish – whoever your large neighbour is) will mean less need for Sky et al to cover our league!
