  1. A wee mention for Massimo Donatti today. Apart from getting turned inside out prior to Moussas wonder goal. I thought he had a decent game. Hh

  2. Bazza resigned from Clyde.

With no further obligations to his employer, does that mean that now he will be free to talk unrestricted about all things RaRangurs ?

  3. Loved some of the comments on here earlier about the Moussa ovation. For me, it was pure theatre and I was enjoying the show. In my humble opinion he is easily, very easily the most potent forward we have had since Henke.

Defenders are terrified of him, I may not cry when he leaves but I will enjoy every moment when he plays for our club.

VFR. thanks again for looking after me, hope the baking is going well.

I returned to the kitchen yesterday after a wee break, kept it simple with a lovely tagliatelle bolognese and a semi home made cheesy garlic bread. In other words a shop bought ciabatta with my own cheesy garlic butter applied liberally before heating in the oven.

I have no shame in cheating. HH

Moussa’s game intelligence and work-rate are first class. He often drops deep or into wis positions to create space for himself and others. He always chased back when required and can put himself about as well!

His potential is awesome. Me? I’d be happy to see him stay till the end of his contract and go for free because if he does we will see a very special (and probably world class) player for the next 4 season!

    My thoughts exactly.

    It is not about Money.

  5. Funniest thing at today’s game – when Moussa traipsed off the park slowly and wee LG was biting to get on, Moussas gets to about 5 yards from LG and LG raises his palms out and says ‘take your time big man’ laughing. The two guys give won another a big hug. There is some fecking spirit running through our team. Brilliant!!!

  6. As Saturday night is music night, I thought that I would look back as what was in the charts on 25th May 1967.

No 1 – Silence is Golden – The Tremeloes (always been one of my favourites)

No 2 – Waterloo Sunset – The Kinks but also check out a much more recent version by First Aid Kit (Timeless classic)

No 3 – Dedicated to the One I love – The Mamas and the Papas with the lovely Mama Cass Elliot, another great talent lost at just under 33 years old

No 4 – Then I Kissed Her – The Beach Boys (not my favourite band)

No 5 – Puppet on a String – Sandie Shaw

No 6 – Pictures of Lily – The Who (my favourite of the rock bands)

No 7 – Seven Drunken Nights – the Dubliners (hard to better)

    No 8 – The Boat that I Row – Glasgow’s own Lulu

No 9 – The Wind Cries Mary – Jimi Hendrix Experience

No 10 – Somethin’ Stupid – Nancy and Frank Sinatra (I have a vivid memory of listening to this in my uncle’s car in Toronto a year later. I don’t think I had been in a car with a radio before then)

I wonder how may of today’s top 10 will be remembered in 50 years time

Other memorable songs in the charts that week:

No 14 – Hi Ho Silver Lining – Jeff Beck

No 19 – Release Me – Engelbert Humperdink

No 21 – A Whiter Shade of Pale – Procul Harum

    No 25 – If i were a Rich Man – Topol

No 33 – Music to Watch the Girls Go By – Andy Williams

    1967 – what a year.

    No 7 –

  7. Just noticed that we have some decent football on telly tomorrow.

Atleti v Barca in the afternoon and then Inter v Roma in the evening.

I plan to cook tomorrow; I have a nice piece of smoked haddock perfect for a risotto and some lovely Equis ice cream ideal to add to some meringues for dessert.

My concern is that I am flying solo tomorrow so I could end up a real fat fecker at the end of the day especially as there is decent white Rioja to wash it all down.

    Nice problem to have though..,

  8. HRVATSKI JIM

No 4 – Then I Kissed Her – The Beach Boys (not my favourite band)

God Only Knows why you don’t like the Beach Boys but Wouldn’t it be Nice if you did ?

Some classics there in the Top 40 then, though.

  9. VFR800 is now a Monster 821 on

Just saw a rerun of Moussa’s goal. I wonder if he knew he was running towards the kids that the Kano Foundation had brought in?

JMCCORMICK, homemade burgers (with mustard, chilli and coriander) and homemade rolls; and then a Victoria Sponge and a Carrot Cake; I bake every week for the wee cuppa after Mass at St Mary’s. A simple roast chicken planned or tomorrow.

  10. I just had a wee look at the table.

I’m astounded of forehead to think that many football pundits got their football predictions so horribly wrong at the start of the season.

Many were confident Sevco would head the table.

Reasons given were Warburton’s tactical nous and his astute signings over the close season.

Now I’m prepared to hold my hand up and admit I MAY also got it wrong.

My prediction was for Sevco to finish outside the top six.

Now does anyone have a list or link to those “eejits” who because of blind faith, stupidity or for circulation purposes saw fit to to make themselves look foolish?

It’s time we reminded them and had a laugh at their expense.

  11. HRVATSKI Tim

I was at an Irish restaurant last night and the band, a Dublin native living in New Jersey, played that to the delight of the crowd who all joined in with gusto.

  12. God Only Knows why you don’t like the Beach Boys but Wouldn’t it be Nice if you did ?

    Very Good!

  13. When I feel confident on the main courses, I will try some baking. Maybe when we get to 10in a row I will have mastered a Tarta de Santiago. That’s my ambition.

  14. Goooood evening CQN – good to catch up with some fellow CQN’rs and Dena :-) at the coarner today

Also had the pleasure of BMCuWP 2 sisters sitting just along from me today – they still need to give me the name of the other 2 players sitting with Paul Hegarty just behind us though ?

Got a brilliant wee snippet at football today as well, from the Bhoy who sits in front of me

2 ex-players (Hibs) at Hibs v Celtic under 20 game through week – Kouassi Ebouie, best player they have ever seen playing in Scotland at that age

So looks like we have another star about to hit our team :-))))

    Hail Hail

  15. Off topic but if you like a crime novel with a Glasgow twist. Craig Russell’s ‘Lennox’ books set in 1950s Glasgow are as good as they come. Hh

    Thank you.

Please don’t ever come on here and tell us YOU are nothing. You live it, you breath it, you are honest, you’re humble.

    Respect.

The penny has dropped on rm

If we are to move forward and raise this club back to it’s former stature, then this board either need to put up, or move aside. In these troubled times and they worsen by the day, we are led by a Chairman in abstentia, who’s sightings are less than those of the greater spotted whale.

King’s dirty takeover campaign, seen share value plummet to benefit the few in taking power.

We were promised transparency and significant investment. We got none.

We the fans are continually lied to.

The memories of our dearly departed and beloved fans, the 66, were disrespected by King.

Our fans intimidated and abused by so called King friendly fan groups and individuals.

Our club and our fan base are continually demonised without meaningful or effective response.

We treat sponsors with utter contempt, far less our fanbase.

Our brand is more toxic than nuclear waste.

Our playing squad are not fit for purpose in making any sort of challenge in winning anything, to say the least.

We witness the temporary appointment of a vastly inexperienced manager and we are further haemorrhage points.

We run at a financial loss, propped up by paltry loans.

    The list goes on.

Forgive the expletives, but there is only one road we are going down with this board and it isn’t to victory and the restoration of former glory, of our values and integrity, but the opposite. To an outsider looking in, we are not an inviting prospect, but as toxic as they come.

King and this board are just another in a long line of trough guzzling imposters, unfit to be stewards of this great institution. Our Chairman is a convicted corporate felon and any fan who thinks that such a character is fit to be Chairman of this great institution, needs to have a serious word with themselves. We have lost the moral high ground, our values and it’s no wonder King is so silent and impotent in dealing with the constant attacks and the groundless allegations that we face daily.

The time for this board is at an end, otherwise it will be this great institution.

I would call for a boycott of next season’s ST sales. I do not call for a boycott of attending games, but attend on a pay as you go basis and fill the stadium every second week. I am very confident that this measure will see this board off as their oxygen needed for trough guzzling is that of front end loaded cash, you know, that which mr mendacious promised, as it is clear, they are using and abusing our money, with the rhetoric of jam tomorrow.

Such a boycott may also prompt them to reach into their own very deep pockets and provide the investment level needed to make a serious challenge for the title. TBH, this crowd should be now matching every pound that we spend, but until we see the colour of THEIR money, not one season ticket to be bought. It’s also not all about money, but the restoration of our great instituion, of our traditions and values. Our credibility is shot and our toxicity could erode steel. We need change and now and it starts with the hunting of the great imposter from the RSA.

    hahahahahahaha

  18. The last homebhoys pod cast was randomly funny.

Harper slagged by Jason higgins for liking erasure.

As it got too touchy he said.

Give a little respect to me

  19. 67 H It would appear that the penny is dropping. As much as we hoped that they would carry on in their sense of entitled ignorance a few are now emerging from the swamp and are now asking the right questions. Hh

  20. Hi Bhoys

    THE HUDDLE

I was playing that song last night when my wife asked who it was. It must be good if she likes it.

    GG

You’re spot on with that being the best version. But the BOSS runs him close. Though funnily enough I don’t rate the duet.
