It is a strange one Mickbhoy, If they are serious about this & try to implement it, it will blow up in their face & they will be forced to back down pronto when they find they can’t shift season books.
Why on earth when all is going well at the Club do they start this kind of shite.

I said to the guy next to me last night, ” If our back three were in a visiting European side, we would be talking of how classy they were.” I thought Bitton , in particular, was silky smooth.
Delighted with last night’s victory. I thought we played some great football at times and we’re largely in control throughout. Some players were given a well deserved rest and those who came in did well. I thought hound Odsonne was very unlucky not to score a couple of goals. He did just about everything right. A very important three points.
I was impressed by Hamilton as well. When they got possession they kept the ball on the deck and played football. Their goal was excellent and they were unlucky not to score a second goal. It was an added bonus to keep our unbeaten record going.
The conditions going and coming from the match were disgraceful though. The platform at Bellgrove, the streets and pavements between there and Celtic Park were like an ice rink and I would be amazed if there weren’t injuries. At the end of the game hardly anyone could walk on the pavement leading down to Dalmarnock station because it was untreated. West bound passengers have to enter the station st the rear where the pavement slopes downwards and was also like an ice rink. We were informed that this is a Police arrangement. Football fans are treated like cattle by the authorities.
Of course,if it IS because the police tried to arrest someone post-match,who had been identified via their seat location,that would mean Celtic is still passing that information on.
Oh dear…

Ach maybe they will try and go the way of the airlines and adopt the practice of levying a £20. admin charge should you wish a change of name on your season ticket for a particular match and a further £20 charge to change it back

For those who bought season tickets the Ts&Cs (who reads them) are quite clear – so the club are only reminding holders of this . Think it’s a bit mean spirited but can’t argue with the facts
Restrictions on re-sale and transfer. Unauthorised re-sale or
transfer. The Season Ticket is for the use of the Holder only. Re-sale
or transfer of the Season Ticket is prohibited without the consent
of the Club. If there is a breach of this condition, the Club may
cancel the Season Ticket and retain any money initially paid for it to
the extent needed to pay for costs and losses we suffer as a result
of unauthorised cancellation or re-sale. Authorised transfer. If the
Club consents to a transfer of the Season Ticket, a fee of £20 will
be payable by the initial Holder to meet our costs relating to the
transfer. The Club will only authorise transfer of a Rail seat where
that seat is transferred in accordance with the Club’s waiting list
rules. Concession Season Ticket Match Upgrade. For a maximum
of two matches during the Season, the Holder of a concession rate
Season Ticket is entitled to upgrade such concession rate Season
Ticket to a full adult ticket and to transfer that adult ticket to
another named individual for a fee, payable by the initial Holder to
the Club, of £20 per match. The initial Holder may not charge for
the named individual any more than £20 for the adult ticket.

I got the letter this morning and have spoken to someone at the ticket office about it as that seemed like a good first step.
I was told:
Every season ticket holder got a letter;
I am not required to bring photo ID to gain entry to the stadium;
Photo ID will be required if there is a problem gaining access. Examples given were card not working at turnstiles or card left at home and reprinted ticket required;
The club are fully aware that people have several cards in their own name or share cards with others. This will be a problem for anyone requiring a reprint;
It’s all already in the terms and conditions;
They person I spoke to didn’t know why it’s being reiterated at this time by letter.
I think they’ve had a few calls regarding this letter which is at best very poorly worded.
I, (like most others I believe), would rather my ST went to a decent Celt rather than be left unused.
It is not a major board initiative against, e.g. ticket touting.
We, the club, are simply being asked to apply the rules as stated.
Celtic statement shows their good faith.
You must remember that while the rules may be interpreted somewhat obscurely in sevconian, the same laxity will not be afforded the country’s biggest, best and most successful ever club, current InVIncible treble winning Champions, Celtic.
As there is no date of birth on imprinted on a season ticket, members of the same family sharing the same name can circumvent the ID issue

If you give your season ticket to someone else, it it your responsibility to identify that person. Same as if someone else is driving your car and gets trapped by a speed camera. Either you prove who was driving it or you get penalised.

Do the Kano Foundation not rely on season tickets being used by someone who is not named on the ticket?
Thanks for your update on yesterday’s underfoot conditions. GCC get a pass for their efforts which were nullified by later weather conditions. It was treacherous though. The arrangements at Dalmarnock station, though, need to be more flexible when conditions are like last night’s. To expect hundreds of fans to make their way down a steep incline which is like glass is very dangerous.
After a good few years of being slated by the likes of Mickybhoy1888 for complaining about how supporters are treated, I got a strong sense of ironic pleasure from his wee complaint this morning.
Not that I disagree with his reason for being upset as I 100% agree that the use of a ticket purchased by a supporter by giving to a friend or family member is 100% his and any other supporters right. Especially so if said supporter can rarely attend for family or financial reasons.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
