  1. That was absolutely magical today,.like the first treble, your nerves a jangling till the end.The treble treble was similar.

    Today was extra special, as that fear of failure was in all our stomachs, the joy when the big man save their last penalty and still the fear lingers when big Chris steps up and the sheer relief and the explosion of joy over rides all our past disappointments.

    If any Celtic players do read this, can I thank everyone of you from the bottom of my heart.

    Scott brown you were amazing today a true leader of men.

    Hail hail everyone and for the third game in a row, a good night’s sleep is on it’s way.

  2. Eratic,

    Hazard was fouled for the 2nd goal, he was playing his 3rd Senior game, so I think he can be allowed some latitude.

    However I agree that right now he isn’t ready to be first choice Keeper & feel we must get one in as soon as Transfer Window opens but I would have big hopes for the Bhoy in the longer term.

    As my old mother in law from the the county of Pollok used to say. . . . Dear God in govan !

    What a mauling that was this afternoon. I’ve never doubted my love and passion for Celtic whatever happens. Today was murder,thank goodness they monkey’s never scored first. Would we have had the bottle to come back from 0-2 ?

    Happily it turned out for us on the day.

    We still need to change. Two up against that mob and we nearly folded when they scored.

    Loved the day. Want to love the future.

    COYBIG !

  4. Naismiths stamp on Broony was disgusting

    He is a wee horrible individual… but gets away with it

    Also offside at Hearts first goal, if not interfering with play what is he doing

    Am still shocked to realise Scottish football has goal line technology … think when cheatin Beaton “points” to his watch it was a text message fae The Crown in Bellshill :-)

    I think the boy was filled with nerves today. He wasn’t helped by some Tomfoolery in front of him. I am so so happy for him tonight that he ended up playing a heroic part in our wonderful win. Hopefully, that will put things back in perspective for him and he can return to winning ways. I agree that a prolonged run is not right for him at this time.

    H.H.

  6. World Record Breakers, hammer it home boys, history makers doesn’t do it justice.

    The Naismith stamp was completely erased from history, not one mention of it at half time or full time. After the 2 goals the biggest talking point, scandalous.

    Thought the replay editor was totally at it too, one instance first half Edouard knew he wasn’t off, no replay.

    Also looked like a definite Berra hand ball, no replay, surprise surprise, tax paying national broadcaster shouldn’t get away with this bias and corruption.

    Well done in getting the job done and becoming WORLD RECORD BREAKERS.

    Naismith was at it with Hazard at every corner. Trying to obstruct him. At one point he and Broonie looked liked they were playing hide and seek, using Hazard to run around. For the second goal he took Hazard out.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    Young Hazard needs some urgent coaching on corners. He stood passively whilst Naismith and Broonie used him as a Maypole. He should have asserted himself by stepping right into the path of Naismith, sticking an elbow into his ribs if necessary , let opponents know that he was standing his ground, and that he would not be bullied.
    Watching him stand with both hands already fully stretched into the air, is totally contrary to any method of jumping for a high ball.
    I’m glad he will be remembered for the penalty shootout, but he was more than technically suspect at their third goal.
    Fortunately we have a very good coach in Stevie Woods.
    I think tonight I will celebrate with some Irish whiskey ….. Triple Distilled….
    Tomorrow I will worry about what happen between minutes 46 -120.
    Hail Hail Hail Hail
  8. Thankfully my premonition that Craig Gordon would scupper our quadruple treble was, eventually, proven incorrect.
    Whatever our current form problems, this is a night to celebrate so I am enjoying a dram from a newly opened bottle of The Singleton from my Lisbao 1967 glass. A night to cherish.
    Well done to all of the players, managers and staff involved in our four trebles. I bet that players like Mikel Lustig, Moussa Dembele, Emilio Izaguirre Keiran Tierney, Jonny Hayes, injured James Forrest and many more enjoyed our victory today. Thanks to them all.
  9. Vogue….
    Of course he seen it he just didnt give it
    Amazeballs
    And yes they are all still in the Hurt Locker
    I was also worried about Craig Gordon, I love the big man and think he is a terrific goalie and a terrific Celtic servant … but like you was worried
    While waiting on our own Embramike giving us the starting 11… I was watching some Celtic utube stuff of previous cup final victories … the Betfred final came up with Kieran leading the celebrations (I miss wee KT) we have millions of memories in the last couple of decades
    Celtic should always be a joy and a positive in every one of our lives
    Hail Hail
  11. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on
    I hope while I’m celebrating an historic victory, out business management team are complaining to the SFA about inadequate and dangerous officiating.
    QUADRUPLE TREBLE 👏
  12. Well done Celtic. Uniquely brilliant achievement.
    No other team has done what we have. “If you know your history” has a new meaning tonight.
    We stand alone,unequaled.
    Celtic,you are Immortal.
  13. A magnificent achievement
    The generation of domination ended a few weeks back but almost like a time traveller we are still able to revel in the marvel that is/was us
    A magnificent achievement
  14. Nervous throughout the game
    Angry at the officials
    Relieved at the outcome
    The magnitude of the achievement is sinking in before the nice red takes effect
    How good do Celtic songs sound on QUAD speakers
  15. Again …
    Neil Lennon is now in a unique group of “one”
    Only player to win a treble
    Manage a treble
    And top a European group as a Celtic manager
    Hope he stays forever 🍀
    Keep everything lit … your pictures are a joy and at times keep this blog going
  17. In the mid 19th Century the phrase “on the quiet” was first used referring to working away in the background to achieve something. Around 1870 it is said that the statement was modified and the letters between the Q and the T were dropped ….thus the saying ostensibly metamorphosed into “on the q.t.”
    Of couse that is probably a load of shite …..for I know that “on the q.t.” came about in 1887 as the secret pass-phrase to gain access to St Mary’s hall and was a pledge to “work away in the background for as long as required to achieve a Quadruple Treble!”
    That’s my theory anyway.
    Hail Hail
    Matt
  18. Three out of the 4 in a row finals have been a struggle mm……. Nothing new….. 90 mins performances seems to be hard…. Some lovely stuff… Some poor.. aided and abetted by sneaky foul play and compliment refereeing…. Historic celtic…. I love ya x
  19. It seems to me that the UK version of the BBC is much more positive in its recognition of Celtic`s achievement today than is the Scottish version.
    It is a drawback to social progress that Scotland still has so many `blazers` of the Masonic and Orange persuasion in positions of influence.
    Golf tomorrow and I will be hoping for pars on each of the 4 ,par 3 holes. ie a quadruple treble.
    Goodnight all.
  20. Vinnie 10.04pm
    I don’t disagree … finals are usually nervy occasions … but do you think any Celtic player would have got away with what Naibalance done today ?
    Stamp on Broony
    Flinging elbows everywhere
    Lifted his hands at their corner
    Cheatin Beaton only plays to the rules when it suits him …
    One of favourite wins ever … they are cheating right in front of our own eyes ..
    Broony annoyed me today for a split second as he just laughed at Naismith stamping on him … but what do I know Broony has all the medals to smile about :-)
    It’s when we’re winning is when we should call out these decisions – don’t hold your breath
    *we did after the coin toss in a Lisbon officials office which we won and that’s why we have shoot outs, first club tae lose one was us against Inter.
    GFTB, I think the club needs restructuring from top to bottom and now is a good time as any, which will mean the sharp suited man and Lenny will move on, the former probably tae UEFA, Lenny I’m not sure but hopefully a position within the club.
  22. Hot Smoked
    Enjoy the golf … smack a few off the tee for me as if your titelist is wee naimark
