Watching Clancy made me wonder why no matter how well or poorly we play, our foul count is always higher than our opponents?
Considering the air miles clocked up by so many of our players in the past two weeks that was a first class performance and result . Particularly important to get that huns game out of our system .

Sinisalo didn’t have much to do but he looked very agile on that goal line when called upon.
We still struggled on the rare occasion that hearts push up but they lacked the organisation and fitness to make a sustained press.

It was great opening 10 minutes for Sinasalo when he could have reasonably felt most pressure from Hearts and mentally.
Easy for him after that but a good start that will build confidence.

I thought we looked like we’d been working on dealing with the high press. Understandable that we looked a little less assured in the first 15 minutes than we might have done, a new keeper and slightly different instructions from Brendan
Quicker, more purposeful passing at the back, Reo taking more of the responsibility for picking the ball up short, and a more confident passer in Maik all helped. Two of the goals came from passing through the lines, one only possible because Calmac was pushed into space further up the park.
Difficult to know about Nawrocki’s defending until we’ve seen him for a string of games but the question will be how much his composure annd passing adds to the team compared to hus defensive qualities.

the game was much simpler when keepers and defenders would just launch the ball up the park.
i dont remember 20 or 30 years ago – when the punt was the main defensive tactic – the fans all complaining that we should start fannying about inside our own box instead.
it makes the crowd and the players anxious and sends negativity through the stadium.
