Anyone wanting that ragbag of a management team to stay at Ibrox should be careful what they wish for.
They will fight to the death every game. Killie and Dundee from 2 goals down. Us and Dundee in injury time.
If they don’t lose to the wee teams that they had been losing to and then it is down to us then our top tier manager will realise he needs to earn his corn in a real competition.

Clancy is like a big dark cloud hanging over every game he referees.
I can’t recall a single game I have enjoyed as a football match when he has been the man in charge.
Today was really bad but nowhere near his worst.

Wee barry, beating the wee teams by showing some charachter translates again to the refereeing chums getting back to doing what they did. i couldnt give a rats arse who he beats, or even that they beat us once, he is a nothing football manager.
our elite managers 2nd season is better than his first, and i expect us to prevail, winning the league by some distance, and pretty soon.
maybe a treble here hoping.
dundee today were no benchmark, that defending was woefully bad (as bad as our was against thems, for one half and a bit).

Great game when we are in full flow we are unstoppable.
Hearts? For their supporters who travelled from Edinburgh trying to keep the score down in the second half, pathetic.
Speaking of pathetic Clancy an idiot of a man and referee. He strikes me as someone who never was on a football pitch or on the sidelines until he started as a referee.

Their result at Dundee, changes nothing. With 7 games to go,the trail us by 13 points. They are an irrelevance to us.Burnley,if I were you,I would be keeping my powder dry.
We swept away, quite a decent footballing Hearts team today,in spite of our normal dodgy first 15 minute spell.I know lots of teams play out from the back, but I have never yet seen one consistently good at it,Including the best. For every successful play out,you will have a dodgy one, because you are inviting opponents to close you down. Its risky, but that’s the way the game is played now.
Anyway,loved the goals.Kuhn Maeda,Jota,are a nightmare to

Brendan voyage sails on.
Deceptively cold Spring? day, saw a professional performance from Celts, and the return of a full squad, where BR managed to get most of them on the pitch. Daizen Maeda became Celtic’s new ‘talisman’ the moment Kyogo left, but was a better option to score, long before.
Doesn’t matter what starting position he has, he is the most ‘developed’ player at Parkhead unrecognisable from the bang average first touch wide man that rocked up. New men Nawrocki and Sinasolo weren’t troubled after Hearts folded in their dressing room half time reshuffle. The big keeper had one decent block early on, and nobody cares whether it’s right foot or left foot, Maik has taken posession of a big jersey, and been rewarded by Brendan Rodgers for his hard work and dedication only he and his coaches see at Lennoxtown.
Engels, Calum and Hatate skooshed the midfield as you’d expect, in a game where ‘the Rainjurz aren’t coming’. Almost as if to underline Brendan’s chat with overall supremo Dermot midweek, two good Daizen goals and an ‘assist’ via his header finished the game as a contest. As so often happens Hearts closed up shop to get away with a 3-0, which seemed about right given the gulf between the two clubs. Second half highlights were some mazy Paulo Bernardo’s midfield touches, and the unleashing of James Forrest, who loves a goal in Perth?

Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on
Enjoyed today.
Lots of positives.
Great goals.
Young goalie can be well chuffed with his performance.
Engels technique and football brain are terrific. What a player he’ll be next season.
Daizen is very effective.
He was subbed at the same time as Shankland.
The contrast in professionalism between our guy and this pie chaser is stark.
Incredible to think some of our fans wanted us to fork out seven figures for that imposter.
Perhaps the best outcome today – Clancy is a day closer to mandatory retirement age.
Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on
Couple of negatives.
Whatever was said about a slow start didn’t work.
Brendan routinely says the key to our game is the press … with the intensity of the press defining the speed of our game.
If he truly believes that – why does he have the back four and goalie and midfield arsing about in the red zone from kick off?
I fully accept we need to stretch the opposition by using the full pitch …
… but you can’t press with the ball.
If the press is the most important part of our game?
Chuck it up the pitch and press !
You look at our most dangerous attacking moments today?
Many came from fighting for dirty ball further up the pitch.

Another 3 points on the way to league title 4 ,I have to say this ,starting from the back is really pathetic, it slows the game in fact it’s boring and can lead to mistakes, and didn’t do the young goalkeeper any favours, and in my own opinion, CCV needs to be replaced in the summer ,to me he starting make .mistakes, also Another left back is a priority,

Timbhoy,
I don’t get to see many full games due to family and work commitments but what I have seen, and what i have read online, CCV does seem to be performing below his usual high standard.
That being said i always say the 2 centre halves are the most importantly position to know each other’s game, so has it just been since trusty was injured or has it been longer? Maybe since CCV came back from injury?

A few comments about playing the long ball today –
The reason it disappeared (as I’m sure most will know) is it gave the ball directly to the opposition a high % of the time.
It might be ok to play the long ball v Dundee or whoever but if that’s a general theme to our game and then we’re up against Bayern and have to play it out from the back, we’re in trouble.
