    Excellent performance, Nawrocki done well, been difficult to judge him as hasn’t played many games, Sinasolo looks a cracking prospect, good shape and size,couple of good saves, and throw outs early on helped him

    Very happy with yesterday’s result and we scored three nice goals however I am not convinced with out playing out from the back ALL THE TIME.

     

    For a start if you are so one dimensional you are easy to prepare for. We did manage to play through a few times and it looks great we were pushed back so many times in to own box and six yard line it was terrifying. You are a centimetre away from an error and bump the the grass away from a poor touch and losing the ball close to our own goal.

     

    We have to vary how we start – stop inviting teams on top of us – we were barely out our own half first 10/15 minutes and it wasn’t Hearts good play that put us there. My view when being pressed aggressively is that our front three need to move – they need to move laterally swapping over and back then spinning in behind and pulling defenders out of position. This give keeper and defenders a good longer option with plenty of space in behind – done well not only would it create chances it would release the opposition press significantly as the would be afraid of our ability to take out 6 players with simple well crafted pass.

     

    Sevco have done well against us because they let us have to ball and wait for or press for the error and generally they get it. I could work out how they continue to get results in Europe but it’s the same reason. If BR idea is to be better at working through the press we can expect more pain in my opinion.

    An internet “troll” has been jailed for mocking dead teenagers on various websites. Public figures, including Stephen Fry and Miranda Hart, have also been victims of trolling. So what is it and why do people do it?

     

     

    For some the word derives from a fishing term for towing bait behind a boat, for others it comes from the Norse monsters. But today trolling is more likely to involve a keyboard and mouse than a trawler, and if not a monster, it is a very modern menace.

     

     

    Opponents might characterise it as the internet equivalent of road rage, vandalising a grave, or kicking a man when he’s down.

     

     

    Trolling is a phenomenon that has swept across websites in recent years. Online forums, Facebook pages and newspaper comment forms are bombarded with insults, provocations or threats. Supporters argue it’s about humour, mischief and freedom of speech. But for many the ferocity and personal nature of the abuse verges on hate speech.

     

     

    In its most extreme form it is a criminal offence. On Tuesday Sean Duffy was jailed for 18 weeks after posting offensive messages and videos on tribute pages about young people who had died. One of those he targeted was 15-year-old Natasha MacBryde, who had been killed by a train. “I fell asleep on the track lolz” was one of the messages he left on a Facebook page set up by her family.

    I watched some of the game and I heard the Hun support giving it laldy when the play stopped in order to give the Muslim Players of BOTH Teams the wee interlude so that they could break their FAST by munching some eateries from plastic bags…CUE the Hun support who started to sing ” Rule Britannia” in some sort of defiance to ANY Muslim player from either team.

     

    In effect those Hun fans were insulting some of their own Players with THEIR RACISM.

    Given we had a keeper making his full debut, a centre half with few minutes under his belt and a slight change of tactics as a result of the “wee bit of thinking” that Brendan had done after the derby our first half performance was pretty encouraging. We clearly have a squad full of talented players who can learn quickly and a manager who is able to get his ideas across effectively

     

     

    I thought the change that brought Hatate deeper, receiving short passes facing his own goal, under a bit of pressure made a big difference. More space behind him for Calmac to move into, two pivots instead of one might be the way forward, but Reo has the ability to do the job on his own if need be, playing deeper seemed to suit him and the team yesterday. It might blunt a bit of our attacking threat but the spaces it opens up clearly helped the team.

     

     

    Nawrocki looks like our most composed centre half with the ball at his feet, he is confident enough to take the ball under a bit of pressure and pass accurately to a player with a man on him, instead of shipping the ball on to the safe option. Sideways passes dont break a press, at some point someone needs to pass in a straight line forwards, Maik seems to have there ability to do that, his pass was crucial for the first goal.

     

     

    It looks to me like if we are to play better against the sort of tactics Hearts start with, but ultimately abandoned when it wasnt working, we can play with CCV and Auston in the same team, we need someone like Maik. Whether he can do a good enough job defensively can only really be judged after a run of games, though, particularly against the sort of opponent Trusty did well against in the CL.

     

     

    Promising signs, a more considered style of play and a willingness to adjust to find a solution to problem we’ll face from now. We may have to be a bit more patient and live with some more short passing around the back and a few more scares that that might bring but we seem to have a squad of defensive players who are more capable of it than we thought.

    Healthy competition for the CB slot beside Carter-Vickers. Very similar fees paid for Nawrocki and Trusty don’t think BR set out to buy a left footed player, to partner right footed CCV.

     

     

    Happy coincidence more like, and it wasn’t a consideration under Ange most recently because his best pair included right footed Carl Starfelt. You could count great left footed CB’s as being a rarity?

     

     

    Best man for the job, and good to see Nawrocki stake his claim for games in the run in to Brendan’s consecutive title wins, and another potential treble. Hearts tried to do a Sevco early doors, but didn’t score and we did. The league will be won before the last of the dead rubbers at IBrokes.

    One of the reasons in my opinion is the weather, on rainy days a lot of fans are standing outside cold and wet ,and when they are inside especially on the front rows they are still feeling the effects of the wind and rain, just say for talking sake what would be the cost of installing a retractable roof.

    11 bookings already this season, just imagine the number in a Celtic jersey, nowhere near the standard of a midfield player for Celtic, Oyandeko[Bruges] is one of the best midfielders ive seen play against us this season, but no doubt he will be way out of our league financially.

    celtic won 3-0 yesterday. scored three excellent creative football goals. hearts came to play the way hibs and rangers did previously.

     

     

    we had the ball for 70% of the inplay time.

     

     

    and yet, some want a hoof ball option added to the style of play.

     

     

    giving a higher chance of the opposition getting the ball, i prefer we dont.

    I think what alarms people and me at times is passing the ball square at times a few yards inside the bye line, that is way too deep and often the product of a lack of options ahead of the player with the ball, that is too deep in our own half to be messing about inviting pressure when we might or not be given a foul when we should be.

    Look at the refereeing of Clancy yesterday, Bangura fell over when there was any contact ,no intention of staying up,free kicks and high balls which caused some alarm, and, on at least 1 occasion, they should have scored with Wilson missing a back post header, Nawrocki had slipped and wasnt getting to him anyway as he had lost him.

    as a support, you just have to trust the process that the manager knows best on how to retain the ball and what he needs the players to do.

    and i enjoy the football we play, we are still on track to get to the record 116 goals, and i think our largest ever goal diffence is possible as well.
