    From the Blue Broadcasting Corporation

Sutherland said the force was working with Hearts to establish what had happened and would be “carrying out an inquiry and reviewing CCTV to understand if any player has been assaulted or any other fan has been assaulted”.

    ———

Heads up … Operation Gristaline has already been announced in Police Scotland’s Major Incident Portal in response to yesterday

    ———

I don’t recall such an offer to Celtic OR speed of response after the Ibrox thuggery.

PS – when the noise and propaganda dies down and “what has happened” (similar to Ibrox) is confirmed?

Let’s see how loud the howls are.

    The Narrative Is Written Beforehand

  2. I reckon the Dundee player who scored the last gasp winner was singing in his head ” Never gonna give you up”.

    Message to the Celtic Executive.

We have a problem with the behaviour of a minority of our fans.

    IMHO …

… the scale of the problem involving the majority of that minority? …

… is minor but needs addressed.

The scale of the problem involving the minority of that minority …

… is significant and needs addressed significantly.

The boos of the majority of the crowd from the 98th minute yesterday … towards the minority on the pitch

Is strongly suggestive of the overwhelming majority opinion.

So get to work, Celtic Board.

    But, PLEASE, do so

    … effectively

    … without fanfare

… and with ABSOLUTELY ZERO reference to the hypocritical public hand wringing we are witnessing from our enemies.

What a day. Celtic just make my life better and better.

Just out my bed after recovering from a great night in The Black Cat in Greenock. Drink was taken. Songs were sung.

Disappointed that Magnusson wasn’t playing for the mini’s yesterday. He was running about Tinkcastle doing his binoculars routine the last time we were there

  11. Compare and contrast

The hun wins the league they get a police escort to the city center and procede to wreck the place, the Celtic support get the riot squad.

Now, in no way am I defending the support for any unlawful behaviour, but as has been said a few times already the outcome was always predicted.

I have still to see any hartz player or staff member being assaulted, but it doesn’t stop the lies.

Does anyone think that a pitch invasion would have not happened had it been any other club ?

Then we have the polis admitting that they need to be better prepared next year, surely an admission of failure, but it will be deflected on to us as usual.

Bada has the right idea, but there is no way I can see the council giving permission for a fanzone, they would much rather have the trouble in order to throw all the blame for their and the other authorities failures on to us.

    HELP!

We have the full tv, phone and broadband package with Virgin.

They are increasing our monthly payment to £192.00. ( we were on a deal, £129.00 fixed for two years)

Don’t need phone as we all have mobiles, so what is the best way to save a lot of money?

    A Firestick?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

    TIA!

    ………………………….

Phone Virgin before your contract is due to renew. Ideally one month before. Talk to them about it. Tell them you want to stay with Virgin but absolutely not at the price they are offering. They normally sort you out giving you a better deal.

It is alleged that a Labour politician and lord no less has contaced uefa/ fifa about celtic winning the league after pitch invasion and final wistlw beimg blown after the 3rd goal went in. Honestly, he no got something better to do with his time than bitch about his team being shite. I had no idea our politicians had authority and knowledge about the laws of football. Sure he will be told to mind his own business and not try to use his political influence to undermine actual qualified people in their chosen professional field.

  15. Club statement:

Everyone at the Club congratulates Martin, our players and all our staff on delivering the club’s 56th Scottish league title and a thrilling climax to the season backed by a magnificent support.

We thank Celtic fans for everything they have done to help the team over the line.

The Club regrets that our victory over Hearts was followed by a number of individuals entering the field of play.

We again emphasise that there is no justification for this behaviour which, for the vast majority of Celtic supporters, only detracts from the joy of such occasions.

Celtic will co-operate fully with any investigation and with the SPFL in their own processes.

We also apologise to Hearts for the situation encountered by their players and staff at the conclusion of the game, and for the fact that these events prevented them from saluting their own supporters at the end of an enthralling campaign, to which they have contributed so much.

  16. Stephenbhoyboy on

I thought i would be more pissed off if sevco won it than hearts, turns out hearts are even worse losers than them across the water ffs, you lost a game 3-1. Before yesterdays game we both played 37 games, the refs gave us several bad and good calls throughout the season.

If heart wanna be contenders for titles they are gonna have to learn how to cope with everything that comes with that. They could have looked at this season as a springboard and built positivity around thier challenge but going down the losers route of victimhood

  18. Thank you Celtic for a day that wont be forgotten.

My son woke up, threw up, got on the bus, threw up more and more then stood and sang/cheered Celtic on for 90+ minutes at the top of his lungs.

HT, FT and bus home he was wrecked but went to bed a happy bhoy and woke up the same today.

MON, Calmac, KT, Scales and so many more dug deep, got the job done. They all have more heart than any of the challengers.

Like the bus ride it was not pretty but got there in the end and thats all that matters to me today.

MON spoke about momentum and its back with us as a club. Over to the board to keep it going with a good summer, hopefully after MON finishes the double with style.

Oh, and Phil, re Virgin Media. You can cancel and if they dont offer you a better deal within a week or two then your mrs can order a new customer deal. Thats what me and the mrs used to do every 18/24 months, though they usually phone back within a week and make an offer better than a new customer deal so not had to last 2 times.

Celtic deserve the title, the table doesn’t lie.

We had to play against every team, every poor decision, every one that went our way challenged as if it should have been a poor decision.

They hate us. That’s plain to see. The only thing that can defeat us is ourselves. When this season is over, when Martin has won the double, we need to have some quiet reflection on ourselves. I expect the board has done this, so should we.

If we build on this team, work on its strengths and add to its weaknesses, next season will be even better. Let’s all get behind the club and team and face our enemies together.

Enjoy this one, our players fought until every last whistle and earned it. Hail Hail.

There are two articles about the aftermath and two hun puff pieces.

I’ve no idea what can be done, but this tax payer funded institution needs serious editorial reform.

the juxtaposition of ‘BBC’ and ‘Scotland’ probably explains that.

They can’t comprehend that their obvious hatred of us causes scenes like yesterday……of course they shouldn’t go on the park but to be fair it was the celtic bench that went first …then many followed from ALL parts …not just one section

What a day …I got out of the ground fairly quickly as I wanted to get into a pub …I approached the trongate I thought wow ….operation Orgreave in full swing today …..a guy said to me.that’s a bit over the top…..I said they’re desperate for confrontation today !!@

  29. With regard to the supporters encroaching on the park do we need to go back to the future?

John Reid’s Statement at Celtic AGM 2008

Why did you decide to speak out about ‘The Famine Song’ and is it important that the club make sure that our supporters protect the integrity of Celtic’s name?

I spoke out about it because this is a pretty vile song and I don’t think that any reasonable person who has read the words of this song can see it as anything other than a pretty vicious, racist song. It combines racism and sectarianism and goes beyond a lot of other things that we have seen in the past. That’s one of the reasons why I spoke out and I also come from Irish and Scottish descent myself, so that’s the main reason.

But there is a bigger and wider reason as well and that is, the nature of this club. We are proud of the fact that we have Scottish origins and Irish heritage and we are never going to deny that. We will defend that and that is not a cause for shame, it’s a cause for recognition and celebration. Indeed our very name ‘Celtic’ is about the unity of the Scottish and Irish people. It stands against those who would divide, discriminate and oppose those two entities. And because we start from that basis of the unity of peoples then we have always been open and inclusive as a club.

That’s why traditionally we have never discriminated. That’s why our board, our shareholders, our footballers and our footballing heroes come from all sorts of different backgrounds, religions, ethnic groups and do so internationally. That’s why I said last year that whatever differences we have when we come into this club we leave them at the door because we believe truly, in a Scotland that is one bit of many cultures and is way beyond now being Scots and Irish. That is our stance, therefore we have to speak out when we see racism or sectarianism being practised and of course, if we are going to do that we have to practise what we preach.

We have to be careful, from our own point of view and that’s why I am absolutely delighted that our fans in recent years have had accolades from the world football authorities, from the European football authorities and let me say when I point out that there may be a minority who are transgressing our own rules, that they are our own rules. I don’t know any Celtic fans who have been chanting racist slogans or anything of that nature, so I am not comparing like with like here. But I am saying that we have got to be whiter than white and that we have to explain to and educate everybody at this club, including that tiny minority which at away games sometimes leaves us exposed to those who would attempt to say that we are all the same. We aren’t all the same, but we have to make sure that that is evident to everybody. That’s the nature of Celtic Football Club.

Virgin may give you a better deal if you phone them but if you go with another provider then they contact virgin directly on your behave to arrange change over. As soon as this happen.
