  1. A clip online should big square head say Fenian barsteward towards a fan after he assaulted.

  2. Maybe, just maybe,if Glasgows finest hatred of the GB was not so rabid, instead of having phalanxes of Police standing staring at the, beautifully behaved GB,itching to fix Bayonets and wade in,their Commander could have appropriated his men in a more even handed way, making a lot of the pitch invading fans a lot more wary of going over the top.

The massed ranks, gleefully awaiting the revellers at Glasgow Cross,to unleash their new battle formations thereon,a total opposite to their London colleagues,on the same day, marching alongside, thousands of Far Right scum in London, led by a convicted Racist, and violent instigator of Sectarian violence,Tommy Robinson.

    Nothing to see here,move along.

  4. Celtic have made a statement about the pitch invasion as its Celtic stadium which they have responsibility for, the goings on outside they won’t touch with a bargepole, the statement from the chief exec of the City Council makes it clear Celtic had proposals for celebrations it doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out who didnt agree.

No, you do not have to let TV Licensing officers into your home. They have zero legal rights to enter your property without your permission or a court-issued search warrant.Your exact rights and what to expect include:No Automatic Right of Entry: Enforcement officers are legally allowed to knock on your door, but you are not obligated to open it, speak with them, or let them inside.Search Warrants: They can only enter by force if they apply to a magistrate or sheriff for a search warrant—which is exceedingly rare and only granted if they have solid, reasonable suspicion that you are breaking the law.Handling a Visit: If an officer visits, you can simply tell them you don’t require a licence, tell them to leave, or decline to answer the door entirely.Tell Them to Go Away: If you speak to them at the door and they ask to come in, firmly decline. If you tell them to leave your property, they must do so immediately. If you do not watch or record live TV on any channel or device, or use BBC iPlayer, you do not legally need a licence. You can formally inform them that you do not require a licence by completing a declaration on the TV Licensing Official Website.

I think we’ve finally broken them.

Even our worst is too good for them.

  11. The ELEPHANT in the room is that huge numbers of Celtic fans have been desensitized to being the stand out, outsiders in Scottish society, and have been gulled, tricked, fooled, into thinking that they could vote to destroy Britain, by voting SNP. lol

The same SNP who hire the Rangers FC team bus for election campaigns.

The same SNP who increase Scottish Taxes to the highest level in Europe, for never ending public service CUTS which get blamed on Brexit [which has never happened] because the Covid scam was rolled out on what was supposed to be Brexit day, and 10 years after Brexit, there hasn’t been a single day of Brexit.

Yet SNP say that they have to increase your Taxes because of something which never happened. lol

The SNP are more Tory than Thatcher ever was and they are the biggest block to Scottish Independence.

Who’d want to be Governed by people who give the 0.00000002% TS issues 90% of government bandwidth, and pays skant regard to the other FAR MORE IMPORTANT issues that are crammed into the remaining 10% of Government bandwidth?

This mugging of Tims in the dimness era, EVEN AFTER, the same SNP brought out laws to jail Celtic supporters, for what?

Singing conflict songs after a conflict across the sea was ended and the people of Ireland were trying to process a hard won peace process?

    If only!

If they gave that as a reason then the wake up call for Timdom might have arrived at long last.

MON is the only person inside the Parkhead building with Integrity, Class, and, Utter Savvy.

    What happens next?

A campaign to bring back toxic Rodgers?

A season ticket boycott to rid the club of the toothless PLC deflectors?

Or renew and get behind the Motherwell manager?

Or Renew and watch on in horror as DD parachutes Robbie Keane and his toxic baggage into the dugout?

Then get the Ultimate kick in the balls when Ross Desmond announces himself as the new Major shareholder at the heavily rigged AGM?

Always be aware that, once you surrender yourself to the season ticket trap, you have zero grounds to complain at what does or does not happen after your meek as fk surrender.

    Good luck.

  18. Quite the weekend………

CP was an emotional place to be on Saturday with more than a few tears – welled up a few times myself during the celebrations.

Was nervous pre match but the deeper we got in my confidence grew – in the minutes before the goal I knew it was coming. KI was immense when he came on, no legs but ability, smarts and desire are not in question. Hearts offered nothing other than hoofball and a snarling manager and got what they deserved from the match. I heard a stat that they managed 5 pts away from home since end of January? Seems very low but for sure they lost a lot of points on the road latterly – but you will only read about how unlucky they were – not so much.

Leaving CP immediately was pathetic. Clearly getting off the pitch was critical as some idiot was bound to do something stupid but the rest of is simply hamming it up and drawing as much attention to it as possible. Are they saying they didn’t feel safe in the changing rooms, the showers or wherever else they go inside the stadium? What absolute garbage, that was all for the press and of course they lap it up. In my view Hearts showed a lack of class and strength running away to create a story.

  19. As for the long game there is so much to do at CP.

We can only hope that the significant changes required are well under way across all areas of the club. From boardroom to boot room we can be far far better and I hope from strong strategic appointments across the football club to lead us in a more ambitious direction. There is also work to do on supporter relations so we don’t fall into the same trap as this season but also the wider fan group. The behaviour in recent times has not been good and we need to put a stop to this before it gets out of hand – you could argue that Saturday was already out of hand but there needs to be consequences and at the moment there are none. I watched every person that came onto the pitch walk right back off it again – not one lead away because there was zero police only stewards who are frankly useless. I don’t blame them but there must be back up, there must be police and there must be consequences and the fear of getting caught otherwise it will continue. Celtic need to spend more on proper security and identity and ban invaders to put some jeopardy in charging onto the pitch.

I would say that it’s not necessarily a Celtic problem – I have no doubt were the same circumstances in play at Gorgie or Govan the outcome would most likely be similar. It is a social “don’t give a shit we’ll get away with it” attitude and until that changes the behaviour will stay the same – it would be good to see us lead the way on this.

Anyway it’s for another day – onwards to Hampden another sunny successful up final day 🏆

  20. Majestic Hartson on

    Morning all.

I’ve loved watching videos of the celebrations on the park at full time.

It’s great to see how much it means to so many of them and it’s great to see the bond that they have.

I’d love to have been a fly on the wall in the changing room after the game.

  21. McPhail Bhoy on

I, like many on here and throughout the Celtic world get really frustrated at times when something happens and our Club either says nothing or there’s a bland, nondescript short statement put out.

Having time to reflect on what happened on Saturday our Club has in fact put out a statement which deals with the facts, as we know them, and did not put any spin on it.

Hearts, however, have let themselves and everyone involved in their Club down. To state officially that their players and officials did not feel safe and that is why they didn’t stay around to carry out their contracted media duties etc. is risible.

I have never been around the dressings rooms and media areas after a match but I’d imagine that anybody can’t just wander in. The only people who would be there are players, coaching staff, officials, security staff, the Police and journalists. Who of that group did they not feel safe around?

I would have had more respect for them and would have given them a pass if they had said that they left quickly, without the players changing and carrying out their media duties if they thought that they had won their most important League title in their history, only for it to be snatched away in the dying minutes of the game and they really couldn’t face anyone and just wanted to get back to Edinburgh. But they didn’t, as we know and ended up looking stupid and also put the blame on their dereliction of duties on to others, none of whom are to blame. Poor from Hearts.

  22. ADVERTISEMENT
  23. Poor too from BBC Radio Scotland. I have now turned the station off 3 times already this morning. They only want to talk about the “disorder”. Not 1 single word of congratulations (at least, what I steeled myself to listen to). Not that I’m surprised. I wonder if the head of their sports department is a Hearts supporter??

  24. We need to be careful here . Our host is a lawyer and many CQN’ers are involved in the legal profession.

We often talk about Health and safety on this site and many of us are aware of Employer / employee guidance.

But you do not need to actually physically contact with someone to be guilty of assault.

” You do not need to physically attack someone to be convicted of assault. Assault can occur through threats or actions that cause another person to fear imminent harm, even without physical contact. ”

A truely magnificent day and achievement has been subject to self harm by a minority. Supporting Celtic on Saturday was an absolute enjoyment and reminded us what pleasure it is.

I just hope there are no kneejerk draconian repercussions.

    Trophy Count

In 2013 we were 12 leagues and 13 league cups behind Rangers * 2 and 2 Scottish cups ahead – net 23 domestic trophies behind.

Now, with the Scottish Cup final still to come, we are 1 league and 8 Scottish Cups ahead whereas they are 6 league cups ahead – net 3 in front.

I would have been very worried if the SPFL had not confirmed the match was officially ended.

Their statement ( and remember that Hearts are part of the SPFL so I would be surprised if the statement was issued without their knowledge or consent ) makes it clear they confirmed that before awarding us the title and the trophy.

Otherwise , we might have been looking at an abandoned game which would have been very dangerous.

For all the hyperbole, while not one Celtic fan should have been on the pitch for one second, let alone go anywhere near a Hearts player, the pitch was cleared in 3 minutes, give or take, and not one still photograph or any video footage , from Sky or any fans has emerged ( as it surely would have by now) showing any physical assault on any Hearts player.

There’s also a story (unsubstantiated) that Robertson offered to restart the match but McInnes declined. That may have been why he has been silent on the whole thing.

  32. Amidst the (unfinished) celebrations the continued interventions of George Foulkes can only add to the jollity. The man who gives new meaning to the abbreviations ‘FFS’ has now decided to raise the matter of a penalty awarded to Celtic with FIFA. With a bit of luck he might also raise it, along with a glass in the (St)Rangers Bar, in the Houses of Parliament. He’s certainly no stranger there. Was it so long ago that the former Chairman Of Hearts pleaded guilty to assaulting a Police Officer and being drunk & disorderly outside those very Houses of Westminster after a Scotch Whisky promo? Or as one blogger put it a while back….”had a nasty fall of the slopes of Glen Fiddich” Ouch!

From paralytics to analytics Hearts have came a long way, only to stumble like George @ the last hurdle.

Foulkes was one of the fifty signatories to a letter published in The Guardian in 2010, which called for Pope Benedict XVI not to be given a state visit to the UK, and accused the Catholic Church of increasing the spread of Aids and promoting segregated education.
