  1. Supporters running on to a pitch to celebrate was a thing in sports for decades. Not that common in football nowadays but not gone away. Still very common in GAA.

The idea that anyone would want a fellow supporter arrested for over exuberance is kind of unsettling tbh

Anyone who says they were still sitting in their seat when that third goal went in is a liar. All about degrees

  2. So even with one game left we know that Kieran is Sentinel Celts POTY, with CalMac and big Liam 2nd or 3rd.

Might be a good time for all those who give Scales a rough time to quietly acknowledge he might have proved them and maybe cut him a bit of slack next time

    Championees again, okay okay okay

  3. Martin O’Neill coming up on TalkSports shortly.

Of course Martin used to have the Monday slot with Jim (Red, Blue &) White & Simon Jordan.

Apart from being a great manager, he is a great pundit, remember him @ the 2000 Euros?

That’s where he spotted Joos. Hope he has a slot @ the World Cup too even if he is still our manager.

Martin on @ 10.30 or so

Just to pick up on your point about the Hearts players and coaching team feeling unsafe at the end of the game .Their statement actually claimed that they did so on Police advice. Now like most of us this has been a frantic weekend of getting our emotions back in order, endlessly watching reruns of highlights from the game and dealing with non Celtic supporting jibes.

You used the word “ risible” to describe Hearts communication position and I completely agree with that. Celtic have a long history of remaining silent in situations such as Saturday and they have sound reasons for that because we have very few friends in the media ( or perhaps elsewhere which Martin alluded to pre match when he referred to the Celtic diaspora as the only people who want Celtic to win the title) however that Hearts claim that they were under Police advice to get out of Celtic Park is a direct challenge to the club. We all know it is not true but,for once, and on that particular point which directly implicates the club we should clarify.

I have been going to Parkhead/Celtic Park since the early 1950’s and have attended most if not all our memorable days ( 7-1, Lisbon,4-2 etc ) and Saturday ranks beside the best of them. 🍀

It’s all been posted that wise man said but anyway,

I took a trip to Parkhead, to the dear old Paradise, from the south snaking through the scenic route you can include the loop through a now more mature athletes village, by the big river. The landscape has varied the atmosphere on any muggy May title day never will. Whether you’ve swept in from Barbados or nearer by Burnside, doesn’t matter we’re all the same.

Celtic not vintage you’ll have noted, turned back into Celtic in the nick of time, like water into wine, for the cause, not just for the crack. Celtic families all there, flashbacks to Bellahouston 82, type aura, where we felt half a million strong. This time it was merely EC67’s old mate Rod Stewart, and Dapper Dermot man of mercurial moustache, all back in time, brothers in arms.

Walking up Celtic Way, I bumped into a cousin just like we met accidentally at a big game in Seville, Bada Bing was impressed by that, – something was in the air. Even Charlie Mulgreww, Charlie Mulgrewww, Charlie Mulgrewwwwww was right behind us in the Celtic end – ‘another reason to live’?

Guus Hiddink ‘tier one manager’ once reckoned he was well down the road to Parkhead, but Dermot had other ideas. He’s appointed MON not once, not twice but three times a legend in the never ending fairy tale of Celtic Glasgow, where all generations will never forget Martin’s, Midas touch.

🎶 Why don’t you stay just a little bit longer 🎶 in the “ most special place on earth “

    Hail Hail

  7. George Foulkes is ungrateful in his dotage after I arranged for the DFID IT Help Desk to have a picture of Hearts winning the Scottish Cup on their monitors when he visited EK as Minister of DFID. They beat Rangers 2 1 in 1997/98 season at Celtic Park.

  8. Many years ago at United Distillers in Port Dundas , our company was setting up a training system , I changed all their monitors from orange on black to green and black ; blagged it by saying it was an upgrade

    Good morning CQN

    Celtic are Champions

Best league win in my lifetime.

    Incredible.

Feel good is going to last a long time.

More so, I think, when I reflect on the dark days earlier this season.

Despite volume of my posts on the subject yesterday …

… I am genuinely sanguine about the alternative narratives industry.

Attempting to illegitimise our achievements by yap is the ONLY tactic remaining for our enemies to deploy.

    They are broken.

I understand the Dom Robertson audio confirming full time is now available.

Apparently he can be heard saying …

“The game is over. The rebels have won !”

  14. If Jim White & Simon Jordan thinks Martin O’Neill is going to allow TalkSports to write the narrative of Celtic Football Club and indeed of Martin himself then they have invited the wrong Celtic Manager on to their show.

Celtic FC have already made a statement on the post-match events @ Celtic Park and apologised to Hearts for the impact on their club. But we have no need to apologise for beating Hearts to the SPL Title or for celebrating that fact. Or for Martin O’Neill being happy for the club, himself, his staff, his players and the supporters for that victory.
