  1. Ray Singh-Carr on

So many great performances tonight on a night when it really mattered. So proud of our bhoys!!

    Hail Hail!!

  2. Helsingborg are a far better side than any Der Orc faced last year and Celtic have handled them easily. Forward to the draw. Crocker and Provan have tried to will the Swedes a goal–anytime they got near the Celtic goal they were creaming themselves.

  3. Vic his usual class self, Wilson great game, Forrest and Brown good game. Watt brilliant bar one touch at the end

  4. V67 – I would like to thank; my mammy, daddy, sisters and brothers, the cat, the dug and the budgie!

    Great result – H!H!

  5. Bout time we got some luck, great that we took advantage

Well done Celtic and most of all well done Neil Lennon.

  6. Philbhoy - It's just the beginning! on

Two days of transfer window mayhem to come.

    Bring it on!!!

  7. Logical Optimist on

John Giles has just said on RTE that this was a huge game in the history of Celtic. Can’t argue with that.

    HH

    Logical

  8. the long wait is over on

So much for the “it’ll be years before any Scottish team gets back into the Champions League” argument.

    Well done Celtic. Great stuff.

    OSCAR KNOX APPEAL

Hello , just to let you know that I am planning to take part in a 50 mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh, 09/09/2012

During the next 2 weeks I plan to train very hard in order to be able to take part in this cycle where I would hope to be able raise some funds for “Wee Oscar Knox” who is 3 year old kid and is not keeping very well just now.

You can read Oscar’s story on web link below….

In the meantime, all donations are welcome, thanks

  10. anyone who doubts NFL , please walk away now.

this bhoy is creating legends every time he needs to.

25th May 2013. mark in in your diaries

  11. Sometimes these games can have nervy, irritable noises coming from the stands. Tonight the fans were immense from start to finish. 12th man, a real team effort.

    Bring.

    It.

    On.

  12. The Comfortable Collective on

When was the last time a Scottish team won four european games in a row.

Don’t know about anyone else, but I know the last time rangers (RIP) did it was 20 years ago, when they beat Leeds in 1992.

Wonder if that wee tit bit will make it into the daily ranger tomorrow.

  13. Great game and atmosphere tonight.

Thought Kelvin and Charlie covered well for the nervous full backs. Victor grew into the game, Sammi and James Forrest made lung bursting runs but, above all of them, was the shining leadership of Scott Brown.

He was all over the place for Celtic, but, this time, in a good way.

    Loved it. Still buzzing

  14. Not long back from the game, we played well, no failures but mentions to Samaras, Wilson and Hooper. The players worked hard for each other, rarely was a player left without an option. We got a break for the first goal, how many have gone against us in much tighter situations?

The atmosphere was wonderfull, just a big party in the Champions League!

  15. Breaking the blog in the Champions League! AC Milan and Lille in our group and we can win it! ;-)

  16. Brown, Samaras your experience and drive was instrumental.

Kelvin Wilson very well played, hopefully the nightmare of ibrox is put to bed.

Now please dont give us barca benfica man u shakar ac milan…….

  17. Who’d have thought we would have qualified for CL so comfortably. Slow start tonight but never any real threat from Helsingborgs. Sammi unplayable in first half and Kelvin WIlson his best performance in the Hoops. Only worry is Izzy’s continuing form slump, he is the weak link and is continually caught out of position.

    Can’t wait for draw tomorrow.

  18. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors on

Back in from what I would say was the best ‘experience’ I have had in 54 years of attending matches at Paradise …… When Hoops scored that goal I had to eventually apologise to those round about me for jumping up and down like a 15 year old for what must have been 10 minutes …… That game / result meant so much to our wonderful Club, and I thought Broonie was IMMENSE, as was every man in our young team …… and NEIL LENNON, his after-match interview tells us all what a manager we have …… Just WONDERFUL, the whole night, from Subo to Wanyama showing us all to rocket a ball into the net with your shoulder …LOL ……….better go straight to bed now, or I won’t be going anywhere near work tomorrow…. THANK YOU, CELTIC ……. YOU DID US PROUD TONIGHT ….. Massive result for the future of Club …..onwards and upwards….!!!!!!!!

  19. Lenny in post match press conference said there are 2 signings already lined up, hoping to get medicals done and beyond that he’s not sure as he’s been concentrating on tonights’s match.

Obviously not Rhodes who is going to Blackburn in £8m deal. Madness. And a bad move for the player, better he stays at Huddersfield than the madhouse that is ewood park!

  20. Just wonderful tonight – ever one of those players were candidates for man of the match. We have a young team of Lions in the making. How far can they go? With no real pressure in the league we may just surprise a few teams this year. WGS qualified with a team nowhere near as exciting as this one. It is a privilege to watch their development. New issue of CQN Magazine out Friday.

  21. mammymabawsburst on

Obliged to watch the match on the tv – HH to the fans – tremendous after a shaky start, did Celtic proud again to a world wide audience!

  22. Just in from the pub. Stayed to watch “el Classico”.

We are a bit behind that standard, but……..

I was so delighted to listen to the Champions League music, back where we belong.

I thought we started slow, nervous even.

We grew stronger and around the period we scored the first goal, we played excellent football.

Overall, Forster was commanding, never thought he would become the keeper he has.

Mathews is a kid but doing a mans job. Izzy is still not back to his best, but is still Euro class.

Wilson is slow, but, played with his brain and had a good game.

Mulgrew is simply a class act.

Forrest ? excellent. Broonie? did a good job. Kris Commons split their mid field/defence open. Sammi was brilliant, I don’t know if I hate or love him. Sometimes you want to box the head off him, then you want to hug him (in a manly way).

Hooper, well when a ball needs tapping in, he was there.

My man of the match, Wannyama. He’s a feckn kid, but he bullies the midfield. This guy has what it takes to rule the midfields of Europe.

    One last thing.

Tony Watt is our new Brian McClair. Trust me on this.

  23. Anyone know what the attendance was last nite? Looked land felt like well over 60K but Daily ranger has 50K in match report.

    H^2

  24. Well I’ve checked back as much as I could but it looks as if our mystery CQNer will remain shrouded behind the veil of wonder.

Mind you if he was in Babbity’s at 2.19 yesterday a full five and a half hours before the game, he might not have made the game, may be still fast asleep dreaming unaware of the score, or either in a dark alley with a big stain on his trousers lying where the Robert the landlord threw him at closing time.

So we will just have to file away the conundrum of the ‘CQNer and the Oddly shaped cactus’ for another day.

Of course he may not have seen his moment for fame, fortune, glory and Estadio’s wall of infamy. I will give him and any skulking comrades in over-priced watered down real ale a chance for immortality…..

    Whose back is this?

    Hail Hail
