  1. Good morning cqn from a cold and frosty morning in the Garngad

Have Frimpong and Laxalt been told not to go by the defender. So frustrating. I agree that Frimpong is never a Right back he is a winger that has stopped going by anyone. Like so many others he has regressed.

Surely any manager or coach want the width of the park to be used and can see that the 2 wing backs are turning in to many times or going backwards.

Anyway our club is a total Embarrassment that IMO heads should role over the ill timed trip to Dubai, in fact I will tell you who.

    Lawell

    Lennon

    Kennedy

NL and JK must have wanted to go and PL must have sanctioned it. SACK them immediately for bringing the club into disrepute.

    HH

    D :)

  2. We simply cannot go on with the current set up any longer.

A shambles from top to bottom.

Only question is, how soon do sevco win the title? We have allowed this. We have enabled it.

The writing has been on the wall for 18 months or so. Too many were too blind or stubborn to admit it.

    Completely unacceptable. Clear out required.

No more delays. No more excuses

  3. Still annoyed at losing that goal after what was a very good showing.

As much as I blamed Laxalt for giving away the free kick and Hazard for flapping and missing, why did 3 players congregate on the goal line instead of marking a man. Poor decisions.

  4. There is no valid reason for Julien being in Dubai with ruptured knee ligaments, none, the senior medical person who sanctioned this should be sacked today for a completely disgraceful unprofessional decision, this guy is out for months not days but travelled 7000miles to have what exactly that could not be done here,no wonder we are garbage at diagnosing and treating injuries which go on and on, it not the reason we hav lost the Leah e but it give an insight into the behind the scenes thinoinking at all levels that have got us here.

Mr Strachan just don’t try to justify this you make it worse.

  5. So the plan was to give Lennon until January as we had an “easy run” of games, reassess then spend our way out of trouble. Meanwhile, Sevco would probably start to wobble again.

We’re nearly halfway into January. Does the board have any update on this “plan”?

  6. The board are not caring one jot, if they did there would be a clear out, only thing they understand is pound notes which is season ticket renewal time and merchandise.

I am totally at a loss that nobody from any of the supporter club organisations has made any comments about the running of the club, baffling.

  7. I know and accept it’s only football

    It’s Celtic though

Not feeling any better this morning

    Shambolic

Change needed with immediate effect Dermot, get it done

  8. As I said yesterday the only reason he could be there was for treatment… So how come no physios are having to stay home ..they must have had prolonged periods of contact with him !

    This confuses me .

Still no nearer with a new centre half as we speak !

Still no sign of big Peter !

  9. Celtic are in a genuine battle for 2nd place. WE ARE FIGHTING TO HOLD ONTO 2ND PLACE IN THE LEAGUE!

In the 10 in a row season. Desmond might think he’s doubling down and backing the fraud Lennon. But we hold more power than him. Our money pays for everything. Wages, dividends and luxury team bonding in Dubai. We bankroll it all.

Desmond, Lawell, Lennon your time is up.

    NOT A PENNY MORE!

If someone you live with tests positive, your self-isolation period includes the day their symptoms started (or the day they had the test, if they do not have symptoms) and the next 10 full days.

  11. Gene thanks I know that. What I don’t know and should have said is when did Julienne get his test or his symptoms start?

    Thanks again

    D :)

In terms of the plan for this season, I’d say we’re at the Wibble stage.

PL went ‘all in’ in terms of player spend, salary and wages in the teeth of an economic disaster.

In the intervening period, those responsible for recruitment and coaching have provided ample evidence of their unsuitability for the roles they perform.

In what might otherwise be a season that set a historic high water mark, we are (at last count) 21 points behind with 18 matches remaining in the league.

Simultaneously, we have 13 first team players unavailable to play due to a series of bad decisions wrapped up in conceit.

When reviewing the plan for the season] turn to the section heading Wibble.

When looking beyond this season, please refer to the DRP – the Disaster Recovery Plan.

  13. DAVID66

Totally agree.Who ever requested we still go and whoever signed off this jolly should be pumped.Bloody farcical

You’re bringing back memories here. Back in the day, we used Nokia as a case study in diversification and innovation. Ten years later we were using it as a case study in stagnation and failure.

  15. Was Lawwell on the jolly?Where the hell is he?Are him and Lennon hudin under the bed?Pack your bags you two.

Who the hell is McCoist to lecture to anybody about standards.Rat opportunist.

  16. Paul The Spark on

There will be no clear out. Lawells remit is to put in place the policies of the board. If they get rid of him then it shows that they are in the wrong. Unfortunately it’s the fans that will need to force change

  17. Morning CQN!

Much angst in Timland and understandably so.

THE GUILTY MEN WHO LOST THE 10:

Step forward PL, NL JK, GS, aided and abetted by a bloated ineffective PLC Board, an absentee owner and some players who simply don’t care enough for what it means to play for Celtic and the fans.

I may be in a minority here but I actually enjoyed last night for the first time in ages. Why? Because the players gave their all for the jerseys and even those whose fitness levels are ridiculously bad (Ozzy Tam) tried. I thought Soro, Turnbull, Welsh and Duffy were excellent and although not his finest game, our captain, CalMac, never hid!

It is time for wholesale changes at the club and it is an absolute disgrace that PL is still in place, he should have gone ages ago. The fact that he hasn’t shows the contempt in which the fans are held, yes that’s right, the paying customers who keep them in the undeserved style they’ve become accustomed to, it stinks!

I could go on all day about the FCUK up this season has been but go back to Bolingoli, Griffiths, JF injury, chucking players under the bus, playing with no striker, etc. etc. and now Dubai and the unprofessionalism and incompetence is beyond belief. Truly feckin shocking!

One final point connected to all the above, our fitness levels are shocking and we need to take better care of our players. For KT, and JF now read DT. The lad is not long back from Covid and if we’re not careful we’ll set him back. He was struggling in the last 30 last night but his desire to do well for us kept him going right to the end. Yes he scored that Naka-esque free kick which was magic but we need to think about his and our long term future of which he most certainly has to be a part.

    HH bhoys and ghirls…

Thought last night showed how far away from the 1st team squad, the youths are

    Harper (19) Ono-flex ( 19 in 2 months) & Dembele (18 next month), look a long way away

Not being helped with the Scottish structure and no league to play in

  19. One thing cheered me this morning. During Radio Scotland’s eager attempts to blacken Celtic’s name as much as possible, they interviewed a Clyde supporter about their league being postponed. They had already suggested this was a punishment for our trip to Dubai. He never mentioned Celtic or Dubai once. The postponement was inevitable he said because the teams couldn’t afford testing for their players.

Headin out for a walk down Victoria Park mate.Maybe break into a jog for a few metres🥵🥵

  22. Bhoy From The Boyne on

We are now back in an arms race – this time with zombie huns.

The 2020-30 decade will probably mirror 2000-10 decade where title swings between once club and another.

They are financial basket cases, even if they qualify for next seasons CL. Their recklessness will catch-up on them eventually, probably to see us win more titles than them in next 10 years.

But yep, back to the status quo. We might get extra European games as result of European competition being re-organised and small European leagues of 8-12 games a season run in conjunction with domestic leagues.

    That’s our future.

  23. onenightinlisbon on

Lawwell and our board of cowards have achieved what they set out to. Parity with the Ibrox club. “Old Fir” re established. Happy days.

  24. Bhoyjoebelfast on

Said Desmond to Peter as they both drank some wine

At least the fans will be happy as we equalled the nine

But all of a sudden the mood it did change

The ghost of Tam Burns came into range

You sold the fans short – and created this gloom.

    STILL CELTIC.
