    Tremendous all round Cup Tie performance, every player made a positive contribution.

     

    Hibs could do quite well this season, good mix of ability and strength, can see them bettering Hearts over the piece, Hoping for another home draw.

    Burnley78. You on your period again? There was nothing negative about my post. It was an opinion ( and we know you don’t like opinions). We will never know. I just find it odd or coincidental that after months of negotiating we sign idah when kyogo gets injured. The way our board works it’s sell for more buy for less. Cheaper deals , loan deals are done last couple days of the window.

     

     

    It may be good business , but as a fan I want to see players in so they can integrate before euro games.

     

     

    Also, have you been listening to every Rodgers interview. He wants them in NOW!

    I’m not having a go stebhoy – personally I think we need a broonie ( I know he’s irreplaceable so I have undone my own argument) so that we can give the midfielders less tracking back/plugging the hole which would allow them to be creative; been thinking that for a while,

    It is not our board who do the transfer dealings or created the commercial framework. You keep referring to the board. I don’t know why ?

     

     

    As for selling for less than we pay for players. It seems you would rather we followed the rangers model. Yes they got to 2 finals of europa cup but would you seriously want that ? I wouldn’t.

    Well if the rangers get less than 25000 for that game then at Hampden it will cost them even more by true time they cover ground hire and associated costs. Tony Doc will have Dundee going for it.

     

     

    Great draw for us v invincible Falkirk who are playing well.

    Last time we played Falkirk at home in the League Cup a young Anthony Stokes was playing…. for them.

     

    Was also one of the wettest ever Glasgow nights known to man. Think we lost on penalties too if I remember rightly. Hope for a better result this time around.

    Come on – what’s the debate – the length of time it’s taken our club to get a left back of quality in the building is pretty shocking , considering our financial situation. (I find it negligent but will wait to see who we get this window).

     

     

    Center back is different since we have invested in 2 centres who just don’t cut it at euro level. We may need to move 1-2 on before bringing in the quality to play alongside ccv.

    Actually unfortunately the opening CL fixtures are the week before the opening Europa games.

     

     

    I say that because Dundee would have really fancied playing that lot on the rebound from a europa game rather than after a midweek off.

    BR said at a supporters meeting last season that he will play Maeda as a CF.

     

     

    Cant argue with that today. His control, workrate & finishing good.

    The league cup doesn’t really register with me – never has, likely never will.

     

     

    A Scottish Cup and League title will always be just as good as any treble in my book, I certainly wouldn’t lose any sleep over the difference.

     

     

    That now said, today was again very encouraging in terms of our domestic ambitions this season.

     

     

    We’re in a good spot. Let’s get prepared for the CL.
