Not every Celtic supporter was able to be at Celtic Park today
But every Spartans supporter turned up yesterday to see them defeat the Staggies

Nice to agree with you about something. He is a decent player. Athletic and a good engine. He is prone to a few lapses in concentration though but he is young and developable imo. If that is a word.
B78- big athletic guy, gets forward well ,definitely worth keeping an eye on, and I would also get Alistair Johnston on a new contract

I’ve seen the Hibs right back a few times and apart from having a useful long throw, I don’t think he’s as good as Anthony Ralston.

Not long back from another great day in Paradise. Thought the attendance and atmosphere was great, friendly and full of optimism.
Happy with the draw as another home game should provide another opportunity to see The Famous Glasgow Celtic.
Now looking forward to a good read-back….. surely!

Enjoyed the game and the win today. I noticed around my area most seats were filled, so many young children among them enjoying a big day out.
Here’s a song not seen by me on the blog for a good while. Only the greatest rally song for a sports team ever written by fans. Green Brigade, The Bhoys, up your game if you want us to take you seriously.
Don’t blame us if we ever doubt you, You know we couldn’t live without you.
‘I think he’s had this for a long time, long before he came to Celtic,’ said Rodgers of Kyogo.
‘We just gave him that rest and we’ll see how he is tomorrow.
‘I believe it’s something he’s had in Japan where he’s just managing a shoulder issue and, from time to time, it gets a little bit irritable and a little bit sore.
He could have surgery, but it takes him out for probably about four months.
It’s only him that can decide that.
‘A lot of times he gets through games fine.
But then times he’ll fall, maybe it’ll be awkward and he has an irritation.
‘He’s a 29-year-old man now, so he’ll understand what he wants to do.
But he’s managed it for a longer period, much longer than he’s been at Celtic.
‘I gave him the time.
We could have had him back into this game, but I gave him the time to miss the game and then I’ll speak to him tomorrow.’
Huns dropped points in their first game. In the next 2 fixtures (league & cup) their opponents are denied a pen & they score a goal after playing has officially stopped. In the same 2 fixtures Celtic are denied 2 clear cut penalties (possibly 3) & are reffed to a totally different standard to their opponents. Brother Collum is doing a fine job for the establishment

Some nerd will have it but do we concede more goals from the left or right side??

Our squad has stood still but coaching has elevated the quality of output: Smashing win and in great style, too.
I’ve been critical of hot n cold Hatate in recent posts but glad he was so silky yesterday; lovely to watch (as his Hibs opponents seemed to agree). Greg T producing the pass of the match with a slide-rule skwerr ba’ that almost translated into a goal.
Good to see Lewis Miller (Hibs RB) continue to mature. Said on this blog when he signed from Central Coast Mariners he was one for the watching (in a good way).

Anyone who can not see the difference in the Celtic team this term,in comparison to the same time last year, is not paying attention. It is night & day. We have beaten, what will prove to be one of the better teams in the division, 2 times &, we have beaten last year’s banana skin with ease. For all the bluster regarding high balls in to our box. We have conceded one goal & very few opportunities for the opposition. In contrast to last season, where we were an absolute bombscare at the back. With opponents often breaking our high line to run in behind our fragile defence. Offensively, we have been outstanding, maybe a few goals short of what we could be but all in all Celtic are in a very good place. Enjoy the moment

We are a better team than last season
An Dun
You are right re the draw being so important for CL progression.
The maths suggest :
16 points from 8 games gets us top 8
11 points from 8 games gets us 9-16
8 points from 8 games gets us 17-24
Obviously the last one would see us play 10 games minimum in CL for first time ever.
A tough draw could see us with :
Man City
Real Madrid
Milan
Athletico Madrid
PSV
Sporting
Aston Villa
Stuttgart
And easier draw could see us with :
Barcelona
Leipzig
Brugge
Donetsk
Zagreb
Red Star
Slovan Bratislava
Sturm Graz.
We will probably be somewhere in between these but winning 2 and drawing 2 out of 8 might not be beyond us.

It was me who said it would be great if we got over 35000 today.
I think we got way more. Probably over 50000 which is fantastic in current financial climate.
Really good backing for the team today and a real contrast to the other side of the city.

Wonderful recitation of a long poem about the problems of love with exotic French Wimmin, from a pub in SW Ireland.
