    An T – cheers.

Don’t recall anything about the GB post match.

I did comment prematch admittedly – about the silent protest.

Effective action that delivers a change of culture in the boardroom?

    I’m all for it.

This ain’t it. Not even close.

    Agree.

The do have the right football structure in place. They may not have the right people in the structure.

We are still in the dark ages.

    ———-

If a company is in ‘the dark ages’ operationally, then whose job is it to enlighten it ? The manager?

Put another way, what other company in the world would have a handsomely paid CEO in charge for 17 years – and then made Chair – who failed to change its culture, its operations or modernise its structure, if it were causing a damaging schemozzle?

I think we’re not in as bad shape as you infer onfield or off and – btw – I think PL has done a lots of great things under enormous pressure for this club, while having a few personal blind spots which will maybe unfortunately mar his tenure and image.

I wonder if the GB watch the games at Celtic Park. If they did they surely must have witnessed repeatedly the poor starts we have had over the season.

So, as the silent protest is unlikely to improve this repeat problem, why do we then try to copper fasten it?

  4. The protest has to be better coordinated, and have more impact, the Board will be delighted it’s only via the GB,as a lot of their stuff gets dismissed by the support anyway….

All seating has been a curse like Thatcher and David Murray knew it would be for the working class ordinary football fans.

The Jungle was my version of heaven, even with rivers of flowing piss.

    I’m just a humble Celt.

A Jungle gave us our heart and soul, like the Kop did in Liverpool for their fans, the Stretford End in Manchester, who were our kindred comrades from England for many decades.

Thatcher, Murray, Tory bankers, and all of their ill gotten monies has brought these great days to an end.

The Celtic fairy story club cannot be that fairy story again, until we reverse our club back from Souness, Murray, and sadly, Fergus McCann`s Tory flavoured rigging of the gate receipt allocated monies, were Celtic and Rangers carved off the majority of home gate monies, leaving opposition teams feeding off the scraps.

    Toryism, pure and simple.

And the fans need to rise above transfer window level grievances.

Fans need to de-Tory Celtic FC

If it means the end of season tickets, then that will set the ball rolling in reversing Thatcher’s wrecking of the beautiful game, with her “unsafe terraces” lies.

We ruled the European game for a brief period during the the Stein era.

Now we are involved in Europe whereas these great heroic leaders of our past would not have Celtic`s great name tarred by participating in these corrupt competitions.

Corrupted to confer that by participating in European football you are agreeing with how it is rigged to suit an evil country which is thousands of miles out of Europe’s jurisdiction, and the inclusion of that evil countries teams.?!

Celtic has no morals, integrity, ethics, humanity, social cognition.

All we are consumed by is money – we are truly lost.

And nobody who’s name begins with “Sir” is going to de-Tory Celtic.

Multi millionaire Rodgers is just like the PLC zero integrity.

What a time to be alive.

Kev racist has not got a clue about social cognition, the racist heard big words on Grifter Galloways show for free without sending him a tenner.

  9. Good Morning Fholks – Grand Week To Be A Tim.

    Saint Stivs @ 2:24 pm?

…the referees are not being conned, our players bundled over opponenets all the time, it is us being stupid, very predictable, we do it home/away/europe.

easy for the refs to give fouls, easy for the opponent to crumple,

it is in our gift to do it better.

Yes, part of our hard press is putting pressure on the ball – PSG do it to, PSG give away a high number of fouls.

Yet Football is not a game of no physical contact – quite the opposite.

Where does it say if a player “crumples” it is a foul.

I get that it’s effective against us but doesn’t change the fact they are at it,

    Classic example…

67th Minute, CCV clearly wins a 50/50 with Bowie, Bowie turns to the referee and asks for a free kick and the foul is awarded.

68th Minute, Scales leaves Bowie (backing up) with space, Bowie turns him, Scales pulls Bowie back – foul to the forward and yellow card to Scales.

Anywats, enjoy the week – Aff oot

    Afternoon all.

If the blog doesn’t mind, a bit of non related football news.

Earlier today, Mrs BelmontBrian and myself became Grandparents for the first time.

My son, Martin and Daughter in Law, Kirsty, became first time parents to a baby girl, no name as yet.

Both mum and baby are doing well, the wee ghirl weighed in at 7lbs 8oz, according to Martin she has ‘red curly hair and long legs’ if any of you have met Martin you will understand why this is not surprising.😉

Thanks for letting me pass on our fabulous news.

    Take care and God bless.🙏💚🍀🍻

God bless the Family and of course the New Baby Girl.

I am so pleased for all concerned.

Raise a Glass or Ten for the new Baby Girl.

    Magic Brian mate….Just MAGIC !

    HH my great Mate.

  12. The term ” racist” has virtually lost its negative connotations. It is so overused and is now commonly used to shut down debate or even a simple disagreement.

If expressing concern over uncontrolled immigration is racist then the new home secretary Shabana Mahnood must be racist. As we speak, she is introducing new aggressive policy and voiced her concern loudly.

Trevor Phillips the former commissioner for racial equality must also be racist as he has also expressed concerns.

Indeed Glasgow City Council have expressed concerns that social cohesion is breaking down due to asylum. Issues. They must also all be racist .

Absolutely ludicrous of course, but this is the scinerio that the overuse of the terms racism and racist have brought us to.

Selective racism is also a huge issue.

The brutal unprovoked cowardly racist murder of Iryna Zarutska,a young Ukrainian refugee brought virtually no reaction on here.

It was the most heartbreaking and haunting racist murder played out in real time.

Anyone who is on social media will have witnessed it.

I tell you, it will take me a very long time to get over this footage.

Where is the outrage of those who frequently brand others racist?

” I got the white girl” the racist stated gleefully.

This was not a career criminal, this was an innocent young refugee.

George Floyd was murdered unjustly by the Establishment. Cue lots of posts on here and the impact on society was massive.

Iryna Zarutska was also murdered by establishment failure who let him roam the streets looking for victims. Cue, no reaction.

Let’s call out the evil of racism, but not selective racism and not as a throw away remark or jibe to stiffle debate or to end a conversation.

    Good morning CQN.

Grand day to be a Celtic fan.

    (short for fanatic)

Just 80 hours to go until we see the Celts again.

    Looking forward to it already.

Belmont Brian – congrats to all your family.

We are a very dull outfit this season. We could easily have drawn against St Mirren and Killie too due to the absence of goals. I am optimistic about Iheanacho though. You can see he’s got the belief in himself from having played at a higher level.

The rest of the attack is powderpuff, especially that useless article Yang (another Lawwell Jr triumph). Balikwisha looks hopeless but so dud Kuhn at this stage and hopefully he’ll come good. My big worry with him is that we’re trying to make a winger of a central midfielder.

To tear the heart out of Daizen Maeda takes different level ineptitude. Step forward Michael Nicholson, duffer-in-chief and permanent factotum of our old friend Lawwell Sr. Hope he gets his move in January because he’s earned it. In the meantime he’s a ghost. I expect little from a returning Jota this season. Kenny has strengths and will chip in with a few goals. I like his attitude.

In midfield I worry that Calmac is on the downslope after a titanic career for us. Love him and what he’s given us. Nygren has real strengths but also significant weaknesses. Engels isn’t looking likely to kick on as I’d hoped (sell if poss) and Hatate has gone stale and needs a move. I like McCowan and Bernardo is dependable but workmanlike. Maybe there’s a better place in there for Balikwisha?

Our strength is our excellent defence. Big Scales already laying down a marker for player of the year. CCV remains a top contributor, AJ and KT are class and I have been really impressed by Saracchi. Donovan and Murray’s development has been exciting and I suspect will continue over the season. Tony is always going to be a solid performer as cover and we have two excellent goalies.

So we won’t lose a lot of goals and might yet bore our way to the title. I will say the manager has to adjust his tactics to reflect the players we have not those he wanted and didn’t get. Otherwise he might empty the stadium through tedium.

Thursday is shaping up as the dampest of squibs, with the early kick off and low crowd. I predict few goals – i have a feeling for 1-1 but it could easily be another 0-0, 1-0 or 0-1. I can’t see us scoring more than one against this level of opposition but equally I don’t see them scoring more than one against us.
